We usually go to WDW in Jan or Feb and were there Jan 15 - 24 this year. It was busier than I've ever seen it.

We have plans to go back June 18 - 22 for my 50th birthday (!!) and we have never contemplated going that time of year before so I've never paid attention to crowds and weather.

What can you tell me about crowds? We arrive Sat June 18 so we'll be there on Father's Day and we leave on the Wed. My birthday is Tues and we are spending it at Epcot.

Thanks for any input you might have 😊

Now that Disney uses the park reservation system, crowds will be different all year long compared to the past. Both because they're somewhat limited, but also because the system helps to more evenly distribute crowds throughout the year. Also, This year, capacity is different than what it was last June as the parks still weren't up to 100% capacity last summer.

And now with most safety precautions related to covid starting to wind down, more people are traveling to the parks, including international travelers, I think the parks will be pretty busy for awhile going forward.

I would go in with a plan to use Genie+ and identify the top 3 rides you want to use G+ for in each park and try to combine those with standby as much as possible. Some parks you should be able to get 4-5 passes, but just be prepared for a lot of rides to sell out throughout the day.

We’ll be there too then , I’ve gone the last week in June pre Covid and it was hot and crowded with afternoon storms. We still had a great time so I didn’t mean to sound negative! Just accept those facts now and you’ll be fine! Lol.
Anyway, to us it’s all about flexibility and freedom, so I’ve sucked it up in an attempt to counter some of that and we have Park Hoppers with Genie +. We always get PHs. I feel good about this and my strategy and also for at times, my lack of strategy.
Definitely will be on the 60 day 545 am online dining adrs for the couple of popular places we want to try, but we don’t do a lot of those and tend to snack or QS around.
Planning on using the EE and Extended whenever possible, but since we stay 10 days, there will be days to chill and use the stacking method, esp. repeat park days. We bounce around in the afternoon, and generally always go back to resort mid day and return at night. It gets hot.
Weather is always a little unpredictable in the sense that you don’t exactly know when the “ extra hot” shuffles in for a few days , etc
