3rd Time's the Charm!? A 2014 PTR *NEW 11/21!*

I'm in Ontario as well! While Rob Ford is not our mayor but we're close enough to hear about it all the time. :crazy2: (Apologies if you are a ford supporter)

Oh! And your daughter is adorable! I love the name Evelyn, so classic and yet so unique!

Yes we hear about Rob Ford all of the time here too. I don't pay too much attention though because he isn't our mayor so it doesn't directly affect me and I'm not into politics lol

Thank you for the kind words about Evelyn :goodvibes

lol, I'm not sure why I even had to mention Ford. I'm not political at all but just so hard to get away from it! :faint: Let's just forget I even mentioned him!

Hope the planning is going well!! :mickeyjum

Well I started my own PTR but not sure how to link it to anything in my replies or signature line...:confused3 Any advice

Ok... you handled this whole "should we change resorts or not" thing a lot better than I did. Well played! :rotfl2:

AKL and WL are the top 2 choices we'd like to upgrade to, I think you did made a great choice. I'm still waiting for my "deal too good to pass up" to come my way. :lmao:

Let's see if I can explain this without it sounding weird. Go to the first page of your PTR. Click on the #1 in the right hand corner (this is the first post in your PTR). It will open a new web browser for that page. Copy and paste that browser and then go into your USER CP and add it to your signature.

See replies below for a better explanation. KatMark was nice enough to explain :)

lol we really did luck out. I would still love to stay at WL some time but I love, love, love AKL and it will save us quite a bit of money, so I can't turn that down, especially while on maternity leave benefits.

Thank you Kathy! It is so hard to explain this stuff.

If you want to create a hyperlink, when you go into your signature in user CP, type whatever you want to say (e.g., My PTR Title), highlight those words, click the little chain link/globe icon at the top of the box, and paste the URL from your PTR in there.

I am actually teary eyed!!

It's a little late now, but I hope that everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day! :goodvibes

I had a really nice day. DH made me breakfast, we went for a family walk, and then we went and visited with our moms and grandmas. We had a bit of a scare with my car acting up, but thankfully DH was able to fix it.

Hello everyone!

I haven't been on the board hardly at all for the past month or so. We've had quite a bit going on around here. I'm hoping to post an update in the next few days because we do have some trip plans to update.

I hope that everyone is doing well!

Kyrsten, I've missed you (but I've been away too....the trip with the girls and then a rough week for my hubby this week).

Can't wait to read the update on the TR.

It's hard to get on when you have a lot going on and a baby. I haven't updated mine in a few weeks also.

Thanks Kathy! I haven't got caught up but I hope that Mark is okay.

It really is tough sometimes! Your trip is coming up fast, are you getting excited?

Well it's a little later than I thought but I finally am posting an update!

In non-trip news, things have been busy! I have 2 weeks left of school and then I graduate in October! I am so proud of myself for finally finishing my degree. Baby girl is growing up fast and keeping us busy! She has really bad reflux though and isn't gaining enough weight, so we are on the waiting list for a GI specialist at the nearest children's hospital. It is really stressful to see her in pain but I'm hoping that we will get it sorted out soon. Both of my brothers ended up having skull/brain surgeries, which has also been stressful, but they seem to be on the mend now, thankfully.

And now for trip stuff!

Flights

We have our flights booked! We are flying with Southwest and got flights for $109PP each way - so $436 total to fly. Not too bad!

We will leave the airport at 6:00am and land at MCO at 8:50am on November 12th

And we fly back home at 2:10pm, arriving at 4:45pm on November 19th

ADRs
I don't have the list at hand right now, but we got all of the ADRs that we wanted, except for a later time at Akershus, which is no big deal. We did opt to switch 'Ohana for GFC, mainly because of the construction, we will go back there next trip!

Other stuff
I bought this adorable shirt for E for the trip. It has giraffes on it,so I figured it would be perfect for AKL!

- My mom has decided to drive down to Florida because of my brothers' heads. My grandparents are also driving so that they can take their time and enjoy it. So one of them will be able to take our stroller and diapers so we don't have to worry about bringing them on the plane, which takes a load off for me.

- Our travel agent was in New York a little bit ago and stopped into the Disney store and picked up a Cinderella dress for DD. It is quite big on her still, but so adorable! I can't wait to see it on her when we get there!

And I think that's it for now! Just over 4 months to go, and we all need this vacation desperately. I've been thinking lately how nice it would be to not go on a trip and just save the money for paying off debts like my school loans, but we really need a break. It has been a while since we've gone on vacation and we are going for a really reasonable price. This will also probably be our only big vacation for a couple of years (unless I happen to get a really good job now that my degree is finished lol) because we are going to start looking for a new house. Our house is alright, but it's just too small and too old and not where we want to be forever so we don't want to put a lot of money into it. Anyway, now I'm rambling. Have a great day, and hopefully I will update again soon!

I'm so sorry to hear about E's reflux and hope you can get into the specialist soon. Poor baby. I'm also sorry your brothers ended up needing surgery, but glad they seem to be on the mend. I will keep them in my thoughts.

You got a great deal on your airfare. :thumbsup2 Nice that the diapers and stroller will be transported for you saving you the additional hassle.

That giraffe shirt is adorable. And how sweet of your TA to pick up a Cinderella dress for your princess.

But oh, I am so sorry about the refulx. Eric had reflux and it's no fun. I was very very lucky in that he really wasn't in pain and heaven knows he put on weight but oh did he throw up a LOT and eat constantly. It meant for very little sleep and shorter than hoped for breastfeeding as the all night buffet didn't work so well for me. I really hope they can get hers managed, it can be so hard. She will grow out of it but that doesn't help now I know. I wouldn't wish it on anyone. We tried so many things!

Great deals on the flights and I love the little top! How nice you don't have to haul all that stuff. Sometimes a vacation may not be the most financially responsible thing to do but it is the best possible mental health and relationship thing to do. At the end of the day you will have those memories and they are so priceless. Paying off a school loan just doesn't help one get through tough times as much as the moments you'll create on a trip like this. Not that it wouldn't feel great but...you know what I mean. We certainly have things that maybe we should spend our money on instead of travel but I'd rather go without some of those things...than miss the time with my family.

A little over four months! I'm sure the time will fly by!!

Sorry to her about the baby reflux. So hard when your child is going through that and theres only so much you can do about it. But she will get better and soon will be in Disney World!

Nice job on the flights! So nice that you have them now and their done. And you know cheap!!

Aww I love the giraffes!! So cute!!!
