3rd Time's the Charm!? A 2014 PTR *NEW 11/21!*

I can't believe the summer is essentially over and school has started again. It went by too quickly indeed!
Hoping your appointments went well!
I think your MK plans (or hopes perhaps?) are reasonable, especially since they will be spread out and you're aware that it could all go out the window! :rotfl:

How exciting! Can't wait to hear about your baby appointment!

Your trip plans look good! The running to-do list is a great idea! Wish I had been doing that for my trip because I feel like there are a lot of things I've forgotten and that would be a great way to keep track! :thumbsup2

I love that you're planning on doing more character interactions. I hope my sister plans on doing that as well with my nephew. She keeps talking about how he's going to be too young to remember and while that may be true, these are going to make precious memories and adorable pictures. I love looking back at pictures of me with the characters! I can't remember many of those visits but seeing the pictures makes me smile!

Summer really does go too fast, doesn't it? I hate when it comes to a close. As much as I love September weather it pains me to see summer end.

Fun pictures. I love the Christmas decorations. They are so festive. Love that castle picture. Gorgeous!

It really does go by too fast. And our weather has definitely been crummy and grey so it really feels like fall is here. The Christmas decorations really are unlike anything else!

I agree! My appointments did go well, and I'll be updating tomorrow or Monday if all goes as planned lol I think that being aware that your plans could all go out the window helps you to have a better trip, and to me, it's not worth getting stressed out over. We know that we have been many times and we are planning on going again many times in the future, so we focus on how fortunate we are for that.

I'm hoping to do an update tomorrow or Monday, but things went well! The running to-do list did help with my last report, so I would recommend it. You will just have to do it for your next trip :rotfl: I hope that your sister does at least a few character interactions, I love the pictures of babies with characters, even if they don't remember it (we will still remember!)

Love your ideas for your MK days; and great idea to make a list of character meetings...definitely a must with a baby. :)

I never knew they decorated up by the train station...we totally missed that last December and will have to check it out this December.

Thanks! I hadn't been up by the train station in quite a few trips so we made a point of heading up there, and I'm glad that we did. It was all decorated so nicely and it was nice to see a view of the park all decorated as well. I hope that you get a chance to do that on your trip!

Update time!! This is mainly going to be a life update, still not much has changed as far as the trip goes, but I'm excited nonetheless!

First, I just want to say that yesterday was 1 year since we lost our first baby. I cannot even believe that an entire year has gone by already. That was the worst day of my life, and while things are going well now, I at least felt that I needed to acknowledge the sweet life that was lost.

Now, on to the happy stuff!!

Today is DH and my 3rd wedding anniversary! I also can't believe that 3 years have gone by since that wonderful day. Our wedding day was truly what it should be. I was so relaxed and didn't stress about anything, everyone who we love was there to celebrate with us, and it was just such a happy day. Here are a few pictures of our day that I didn't post at the beginning of the PTR. Randy Champman took all of these photos - he is wonderful!!

We celebrated yesterday by going out for lunch to one of our favourite places, and then we started our baby registry! It seems a bit early, but I'm a planner (obviously lol) and we will be having an early shower because of the Christmas holidays.

In baby news, we had our anatomy scan and an OB appointment last Wednesday. This was the first time that DH was able to go with me so I was really excited. We found out that our screen for Down Syndrome came back negative and baby is looking great! The scan went pretty well, but movement and baby's position made it hard to get some of the shots, so I might have to go back for another scan if the tech couldn't get everything properly.

We had a hard time getting the sex shot. Baby had its little bum back by my spine for a while and then had the legs closed tight! We finally were able to get a peek, and while the tech is not 100% sure, it looks like our baby is a...

GIRL!!!

We are shocked, but so excited!! I really thought that the baby was going to be a boy. We aren't going to go too crazy buying pink, since the tech wasn't completely sure, but we saw 3 lines so it looks like we've got ourselves a baby girl!

Here's a recent picture of the baby bump I'm sporting...

My mom told me that if I was told I was having a girl, we would be driving to the nearest Disney store (about an hour away) to buy this adorable little Minnie Mouse coat that she had seen a few weeks ago. So Friday night, that is where we headed. The coat was on sale so she figured even if we do end up having a boy, nobody will be out a ton of money.

Here is the precious little coat

We also bought a few other things while at the Disney store... it is a good thing that the closest one is an hour away :rotfl2:

This adorable little Lion King outfit and slippers - it is yellow so I think it could work for a boy or a girl. And I'm already thinking about cute newborn photoshoot ideas!

I also bought baby girl a little set of headband mouse ears - great for newborn photoshoot and for our trip next December!

And finally, a shirt for me that I've been eyeing online for a while. I'll save this one up for our trip!

And that's all for today folks!

Happy Anniversary to you and your hubby. Love the wedding pictures.

I'm sure it is also a bittersweet day with the first pregnancy.

Congratulations on we think it's a girl. :)

So fun shopping for girls. I love the Minnie jacket, and the Lion King outfit can definitely be boy or girl.

 Sending a prayer for your sweet angel baby.

Your wedding photos are just beautiful.

I think it's smart to start a baby registry early. We did and it made for an easy way to track what we needed.

Your baby bump is adorable! I'm so happy to read your AS went well.

Oh my goodness, the minnie mouse coat and the simba onesie are precious. :lovestruc

Aw, I'm welling up! So happy for you two, well three now (plus your fur-babies)!!! I'm super emotional, can't help it! Lol. How exciting to be having a girl! BBB, anyone?? :)

I bet the one year for your angel was hard, but I bet she's looking out for you and watching over her little sister!

Congratulations on your three year wedding anniversary! Sounds like you both had a great day! I think starting your registry early is smart!

I absolutely love the Disney baby stuff! How cute!! I love how excited your mom is taking you to the Disney Store an hour away! Aw!!

Your bump is precious! So sweet! Happy for your little family! *hug*

I'm sorry about your sad milestone, but it looks like you've got a lot of good things going on to keep you looking forward now!!!

I'm glad that you found out you're having a girl so that you could go get a few things you wanted. We were kind of the same way with both of ours... we knew what we were having, but we didn't exactly buy a whole lot of gender specific clothes because... well, technology is sometimes wrong. :rotfl2: With our DD, they would only give us a "90% certain" that she was a girl. That 10% was just enough to make us wonder up until she was actually born. :rotfl::rotfl2:

Thank you Kathy!! It is so much fun shopping for little girls! Especially since I thought that the baby was a boy so I had been looking at a lot of boy stuff lol This is like a whole new world!

Thank you for all of your kind words :) I like having the registry set up now too, I am sure that I will be doing a fair bit of updating between now and the shower. DisneyBaby makes the cutest stuff, I could easily spend a fortune!!

I love your excitement!! I know that I am excited but you can't expect other people to be as excited as you are lol I am loving all of this little girl stuff - I had spent more time looking at boy stuff and there is so much cute stuff for little girls, it can be overwhelming! I also love DisneyBaby! There is so much to buy when you are a Disney-aholic!

I'm sorry about your sad milestone, but it looks like you've got a lot of good things going on to keep you looking forward now!!!

Thank you! I am trying to keep focusing on the positive, but acknowledging that the past is what got me here (positive and negative). That 10% would make me feel the same way you did! I would really hate to have a house full of pink (or blue) and a gender specific nursery and have to re-do everything once baby arrived! It was really fun to look at and buy some girly stuff (especially since the whole time I was thinking I was going to be told boy) but now I need to just wait it out!

Oh baby clothes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok backtrack as I know I've been horribly MIA. I've been MIA all of August everywhere I swear!

First of all, congratulations! I am so thrilled for you. I lost a baby before Evan and I know the pain..and the sweet joy. I am so happy for you!!!!

Second, LOVE the anniversary/wedding pics, just lovely, so lovely.

Cute baby bump and even cuter in that top. Love that!

Plans look good, we do split stays these days on a regular basis and rather like them as long as it's at least 2 nights, preferably more, per stay.

Love the coat and the lion king outfit! Yellow and green are good, you are safe that way in case they were wrong. Red too.

A girl! :thumbsup2

Happy Anniversary!! YAY for girl!! Congratulations. I am not going to lie having a girl is very expensive. Lol I have 2 and it is very dangerous especially with a Disney trip coming up.

Summers get so busy, and there is so much to read on the DIS, it is easy to get behind! I hope that you enjoyed your summer! Thank you for all of your kind words :) We don't usually do split stays, so that will be new for us, but I agree with you that it is better if you at least stay a couple of nights in each resort.

Thank you!! There really seems to be so much more "stuff" for girls. I have seen lots of cute baby boy stuff too, but there is just so much more for girls - you really need willpower!

Happy anniversary! What amazing beautiful wedding photos! Ahhh I love wedding photos on a normal day, but Disney wedding photos are a whole other category of amazing. :thumbsup2
So glad your appointments and scans went well, and how exciting about your baby girl! princess:
I am in love with the little Lion King outfit!!

Happy Monday Disboards!!

I'm taking a lunch break from my school reading and thought that I'd do a little update with our plans for Epcot.

I don't think that a whole lot will change here. My Epcot strategy is usually pretty relaxed, which will be good when travelling with a baby!

Once again, I need to make a list of characters that can be found at Epcot and decide which ones we want to see.

Future World

We will want to try out the new Test Track. Depending on who all is going on this trip, we might use the rider swap (which I will need to read more about!) or someone may just stay with baby while the rest of us ride.

Soarin is one of my favourites, so I also want to make sure that I get on that one. Similar to TT, we may need to use the rider swap for this ride.

Living with the Land is a must do! I'm a huge nerd and really enjoy this ride (and it's minimal wait times!). Hopefully the baby will enjoy the scenic boat ride as well!

Spaceship Earth is another one on our to-do list. If I don't make it on, I won't be crushed, but I do enjoy it.

I also plan on doing some browsing here

Figment has been a favourite of mine since I was young, so I want to make a stop here

I am pretty scared of all of the rumours going around about this pavilion though!

World Showcase

I really enjoy taking in the WS at a leisurely pace, so I am sure this is what we will do here again. We can stop to take in some sights, browse the shops, have a snack or a drink, maybe go for a ride on Maelstrom and the Gran Fiesta Tour.

Pretty basic Epcot plans going on here! I am sure that we will also visit this park more than once (although not as much as MK of course!) I always try and fit in a few new things on every trip, but now that we will be going as parents for the first time, I feel like everything will be new all over again so I want to introduce the baby to some of my favourites, just as my parents did with me.

To Do List:
- Make lists of characters to meet at each park

Looks like a good plan for EPCOT. It is definitely best to be able to go with the flow when you've got that stroller in front of you.

I'll comment about rider swap. It is fantastic and it is easy. Basically, you walk up to the start of the line with the person who is riding, the person who is waiting and the baby. Tell the CM you want the rider swap pass and they'll hand you a FP that is good for all day. Then, one of you can go ride it, and the other waits. You can use that pass right away, or you can save it for later in the day. Also, when you finally go to ride with that pass, up to 4 people can ride with that one rider swap pass. Take full advantage of them, even if someone is going to wait with the baby anyway... :rolleyes1

I love your Epcot plans...it's about ther same way we approach Epcot. :)

I think Andy's advice about the baby swap is very good. :thumbsup2

Thank you for your comments on the rider swap! We've never needed to use it before, so it is all new territory. I'm glad to read that it was effective for you!

Thanks Kathy! Epcot seems to lend itself to a pretty relaxed touring strategy.
