Thank you! I need to get myself caught up on your report, I just remembered that I went to read it but I don't think I finished and commented.

Sorry to hear about your brothers, I hope they can both fully recover quickly.

You definitely have that pregnancy glow! It sounds like you guys are on top of everything. I'm excited to see your nursery when it's all done.

Scarlett is just precious. I bet she'll just love the baby. :lovestruc

Thank you :) I can't wait for the nursery to be finished! I will definitely post a few pictures when we get it finished. Scarlett loves everyone, and she has so much fun with the kids at my moms daycare so I can't wait to see her with the baby.

Thank you :goodvibes I said the same thing - what are the chances that both of them find out about these issues and we get news that they could both need surgery within a few days of each other. My one brother was a little worried that I was going to go into early labour when I visited him in the hospital& at least I would have been in a good place for it :rotfl:

Oh, and I'm loving your new ticker!!

Sorry for the health scares from your brothers. I hope everyone's treatment/recoveries go well. I know that worrying about them has to be difficult for you with everything else that is going on right now.

It sounds like the time is coming near! Good luck getting the rest of the nursery finished and everything in place for the baby! And don't worry about posting trip related updates. We all know you've got more important things to worry about. Feel free to share baby pictures when the time comes though. :thumbsup2

Saw your pics a few weeks ago , you ARE adorable!!
From our family to yours!

I know I am far behind on your report; however, you are always in my prayers.

Thank you. It was scary but things are looking much better now. The time is really coming up fast now, but I'm officially on my maternity leave so I have a bit more time for things like the DIS now!

I hope that you and your family had a wonderful Christmas and New Years!! I'm sorry that I'm late saying this to you, too.

Praying all is well!!

Thank you for your comments!! I have been so busy and not feeling the greatest as the end of this pregnancy nears so I haven't been online much. I hope that you and your family had a wonderful Christmas and New Year though!!:goodvibes

I just wanted to post a quick little update for everyone.

The holidays are always so busy, and with work and the baby coming, I had no time for getting online to do much. So even thought it is late, I'd just like to say that I hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Years with your families!!

Our Christmas was busy (and even included a couple of trips to Labour and Delivery) but it was nice to be able to spend time with all of our family.

I am officially on my maternity leave now, which is giving me some much needed rest. I've been feeling pretty uncomfortable, sore, and even a bit sick some days, so I am taking all of the rest that I can get!

The nursery is almost finished now! The baby's laundry is done and put away, and most things are set up and ready to go. We still need to find an area rug for the floor and some type of window covering, but the basics are all finished, and that is what is most important!

In trip news, we are finally getting close to being able to book!! We are looking at the first week in December right now. The week that we went in 2012 was amazing and our original plan was to go at that time, but Disney changed the season, so it is no longer considered value season :( Boo!

My mom priced out a few options for the rest of the family and they are seriously considering Art of Animation right now. My 5 year old cousin is going, and would really love to stay there.

DH and I haven't been on an actual vacation together since our honeymoon, so we would kind of like to stay somewhere on our own so that we still have some feeling of our own family vacation and then we can meet up with my family for some meals and things like that. I think that Wilderness Lodge is still our number one choice, but we will see what happens. I'm not going to be taking a long maternity leave, but money will be tighter so financials might determine where we end up staying.

To Do List:
- Make a list of characters for meet & greets for each park - DONE!
- Start planning some movie nights - my mom really wants us to do at least a couple of these and I know my cousin would love it!
- Make a new packing list
- Start researching extra things that I will need to bring with a baby

I think that's about it for today, and I'm going to try and get caught up on everyone's reports over the next few days!!

I'm sorry you have been feeling uncomfortable and a little ill. I hope with some rest that all gets better.

Just a word of advice: be careful the first week of December. We went December 3 - 8 just last month and it was a little more crowded than the year before. I think a lot of it had to do with Thanksgiving being late and the Christmas parade taping. Unfortunately, the same happens this year with Thanksgiving and the taping.

I did start a TR and don't remember if I sent you a link...but it's in my signature.

Thanks for your advice about the dates. I haven't really looked into it yet, but my mom had said that our TA told her that they changed the season dates, so it was a fair bit more expensive to go the following week. I hadn't even looked at when Thanksgiving falls this year. As always, there will be more planning and crunching of numbers lol

Sorry to hear you aren't feeling well, hope you're feeling better soon! Glad the nursery is coming together for you, and your maternity leave has officially begun! How exciting!

The baby will be here so soon! Eek!

My DH had to pick his vacation in November, we will be there 11/29/14 - 12/6/14 so the same week!

Take advantage of your maternity leave and get plenty of rest while you can. :thumbsup2

I say this as someone who is actually considering staying at AoA, but I can completely understand where you're coming from about the resort dilemma. I'd definitely love to stay at WL in your situation, but you've definitely got to make sure everything works for your budget.

Ok, maybe Kathy's right. This week is starting to look like a busy one! :rotfl2: We're planning a trip for the same week.

Thank you! For the most part, I can't really complain, but when you are 5 feet tall, you run out of room for baby really quickly lol

I can't believe how fast it is coming up - I'm sure you understand that feeling! That is a great week to go, I'm just hoping that crowds aren't super big when we are there because we've gone at so many low crowd times lately, I won't be used to it anymore!

I definitely plan on taking advantage, and so far, it has been working out pretty well lol I usually have some type of resort dilemma when planning a trip, and because I'm budget conscious by nature, the good deal usually ends up winning out. That is why we ended up staying at CSR last year, I probably wouldn't have otherwise, but the deal was too good to pass up. The fact that it will be baby's first trip and DH and my first vacation together in a few years makes me want to really make the most out of it though!

Hey there! Sorry to hear you're not feeling the greatest! It'll all be over soon and you'll have a little bundle of joy on your hands! :goodvibes

As you know, we went the first week of December this year, 12/2-12/9 and it was a lot more crowded than it has ever been before going the first week. As KatMark said, it's probably because it was just a couple of days after Thanksgiving. The least crowded day we were there was our last one believe it or not. MK was EMPTY that morning. I haven't started my TR yet, but I'm hoping to get a jump on it when I have to travel to Chicago next week for work since I'll be all by my lonesome, lol.

:cool1: for being on maternity leave!

Sorry that you are uncomfortable but it will all be worth it and very soon. The shower looked lovely (though missing Disney onesies lol!) and Scarlett is as cute as ever. How scary about your brothers, and both of them to boot! Glad to hear things are looking better.

That first week of Dec is one of the busiest at DVC resorts due to the lower points so bear that in mind. That said, if you can swing WL, being able to come back to the resort easily from MK will be nice with a 1 year old!

I remind myself every day that even though I might be uncomfortable, I've wanted this for a long time and it will all be worth it in the end!

I'm going to have to look seriously into some dates sometime soon. I think that DH should be able to get time off whenever, so that shouldn't be a factor. It is just so hard to know what to do! I can't wait to read about your trip!

It is definitely nice to be on leave, my body is really appreciating it lol I have a bunch of Disney clothes for the baby but for some reason, no pictures of them in my photo bucket! Some of the very first purchases were Disney items - my mom made sure of it lol

I don't know much about DVC, so thank you for pointing out that information for me as well. This is going to be a tough decision!

I thought I'd post another quick little update before I disappear for a while!

Baby is due in about 10 days! I can't believe how close we are getting. I feel like my body is starting to progress towards delivery, but with no imminent signs of labour. I am just hoping to avoid induction if I can, but trying to plan any of this is a waste :rotfl2:

I just started another semester at school (yes, I am that ridiculous!). It is going to be tough to finish courses with a newborn, but if I don't do it now, I will have to wait another full year before the school offers these courses, which I really don't want to do. After this term, I should only have to take one more half-credit course and my degree will FINALLY be finished. Doing a BA part time really takes a long time, and I will be so glad to have it completed.

Baby girl seems to love going to lectures, it is the funniest thing. She starts kicking and moving around like crazy when I am sitting in a lecture. I am hoping that this means that she will share my love for learning!

As for our trip...

My mom told me a week or so ago that some of the family is considering going at the end of October/beginning of November, instead of the December trip we originally talked about.

Now, I can see their logic in this. My aunt (I think it is her lol) can't get the time off in December so they had to look at a different time to go. Fair enough. And they figure they could possibly catch the MNSSHP plus all of the Christmas decorations going up in one trip (planning a longer trip at this point).

But I am really torn about what to do. I really really want to take DH in December, and I do want us to have our own little family vacation (something that is quite important to DH). The baby will be almost a year old and this gives us a bit more time to save (which we will probably need since I am on maternity leave now). I am just afraid that if we keep our trip in December, despite what the rest of the family does, that my mom will be upset with us. She really wants to be there for baby's first trip, and she has done a lot for us so I always try to do things with her in mind if I can. But I doubt that she would keep her trip in December if the rest of them go in October/November. I did some preliminary, dummy date pricing and both of these times are the same price, so that isn't an issue.

Decisions, decisions...

Good luck with school and with baby girl. Make sure when you come back to post there are baby pictures involved! :thumbsup2

Hmmm - very late October/early November might not be a bad time to go. I left November 4th this year, but right after that the Christmas decorations all started to go up. It will probably only be a month earlier for you, so its definitely something to consider. Personally, I have found that if you don't go right in the beginning of December you get stressed when you get home because Christmas is right there waiting for you.
