3rd September Trip 1st Trip Report 9-12 to 9-18 2009

This is my first attempt at a trip report, so bear with me

Our vacations cast:
Me Devon (29) the disney lover and planner
DH Steven (30) the hardworker who needs to relax on vacation
DS SJ (3 almost 4)

30 days before we left we had given SJ a countdown calender with pictures of things we were going to do while at Disney. He was excited but I knew he didnt know how much fun it was going to be even though he had been the last 2 years.
We only live a little over 2 hours away from WDW so of course we drive

Day 1
The drive up was long rainy but uneventful. We arrived around 11am to Caribean Beach Resort. When we got to security it was our customers boyfriend who was the security guard we talked with him a few minutes then went to the guard house. I had done online check in so I got to skip the huge line of people waiting. I was very happy when I was told my room was ready and that I was in Trinidad north. Room 3151 I saw on the map how close it was to Old Port Royal and was very happy. I am pretty sure this is a preffered location so that would mean we got a free upgrade! We lugged all our stuff up to our room and of course SJ jumped on the beds.

Around 12:30 we decided to go to go to the park well we went to leave and Steven checked the door and it let him in without a key! So after a call to housekeeping we were waiting and waiting and waiting about 20 min late maintence shows up and fixes the door. But while we were waiting a CM showed up and said Happy Anniversary and handed me a signed Mickey and Minne picture and a photopass card.
So now its about 1 and we head to MK. SJ is fascinated by the bus ride he keeps saying mommy I love this ride.

When we arrive we see Pinocchio, Snow White, Pluto and Daisy SJ is loving it! I am loving all the halloween decorations! DH went to find a bathroom so i took some pics of the decorations

I wanted to get him on a ride I knew he would like so I went over to tommorland to ride buzz. OH MY what a mess, it was so busy! I am not use to crowds like that in Sept. There were a few church groups here that I noticed and there was spectro tonight so it was busy. So we grabbed Fast Passes for Buzz since the wait was 20 min and went off in search of a hotdog for my DH well when we got to fantyland SJ wanted to play on Poohs playful Spot so I told DH to go ahead and get something to eat and we would meet him there.

So now SJ is bored and wants to ride winne the pooh but it has a 30 min wait so no we will do it on Wed when we go back! So I call DH and he is all the way in Frontierland! So after 20 min he finally found us and we headed off to the Tommorland speedway also a 20 min wait but SJ REALLY wanted to go. So we did and it was GREAT!

We then headed over to Buzz and used our Fastpasses SJ’s eyes were so big the whole time, he was fascinated. After we rode we went and met Buzz and for the 1st time my little man was not afraid of the characters he loved him. Danced with him, gave him high 5, and got his autograph.

DH had went and got a soda and SJ asked for some this was the 1st time he had ever tried coke!

We then decided it was time to see some Pirates so we headed over to Pirates of the Caribean. SJ said he was scared but we told him it was all pretend and it would be fun and we would sit right next to him. Well of course he loved the ride but he loved the gift shop when we came out even more! He found a captain hook, hook and a sword and played with them for quite a few minutes.

Going to have to go back and buy them.
We then saw we needed to get to Chef Mickeys for our 4:30 reservation. When we get to CM there is a sign that dinner starts at 5. uh oh

So I go to the concierge and they tell me my reservation is 5:20 all well. WE wait in the bar area that overlooks the pool. At 5 we get seated and I have to say the food was horrible. All very right out of a can tasting. But that isn’t what we went there for we went to see the FAB 5 and they did not disappoint! SJ LOVED all of them. Got all there autographs, and stood up to take a picture with them all.

All in all a great time with bad food. LOL
We then headed back to our hotel. We arrived about 7:30 We got right into our bathing suits and headed to the kid pirate pool. SJ walked around the pirate ship a bunch of times having fun then I went and told him I would go up the stairs with him and that got him up the stairs and then he went down the slide, that was it he did it over and over and over until they came and closed it a 8pm. After I got SJ to bed I head the boom of the Epcot fireworks so I walked out the door to the balcony and saw the most beautiful view of the fireworks! Our room had the most beautiful view and I have 5 more nights of watching them

Signing up for your trip report. We were there 11-19th. We were also at the Magic Kingdom the 12th. It did seem pretty busy that day. That morning wasn't too bad but it was also raining. I suppose that makes a difference. Great pictures! Your little guy is a cutie!

Day 2 Epcot

We were woken early by SJ around o6:45 we were ready to go around 8:30 pretty early for us but of course when we went to leave the door decided not to lock again. So when maintence finally left around 9 we were off to Epcot. Wow was that place was quite. We went straight for test track, it had a 10 min wait or so it said but we walked right on. This we SJ’s first time being tall enough to ride. He was scared of it being loud. He was good on it but he didn’t love it.
We then headed over to soarin that one he LOVED. When we were in line I realized I had left my camera on the stroller and had a mini freak out so I sent DH to get it and just stayed to the side while I waited for him which worked out well because we ended up being 1st row almost center.
Now the countries were open so we headed off to Mexico for my DH he wanted a burrito so the boys ate and I didn’t. DH says that the food has changed for the worse since last year

We then checked out Mexico for quite some time and DH bought some Mexican seasoning.

When we went to leave it was POURING but we decided to say screw it and get wet I really wanted to spend time in each country this time especially shopping in the stores. I did get to look around Norway, China, Italy, and Japan quite a bit we also rode Maelstrom. Somehow it was 1:30 and DH wanted to be back to the hotel by 1 for the Dolphins first game. So at this point I still had not ate and I was getting grumpy not to mention I really wanted to shop a bit in England and at least get Crunchies and some nice tea. I did get my crunchies which I immediately ate one. And we headed back to the buses. Well on the way out I said wait a minute lets upgrade our tickets to SAP’s while we are here. So we did and it only cost $54!!! Whooo hoooo We got back to the hotel and I finally grabbed a burger and fries and we took it back to the room and hoped for SJ to get a nap in. Well it was clear that wasn’t going to happen and DH had already head to the bar so I said what the hell its vacation put your bathing suit on son we are going to the pool!
We got daddy and went and walked around castaway cay what an awesome place. WE then went to the big pool the zero entry was great. I didn’t get to go down the slide but I will! SJ was of course begging to go to the pirate pool so I grabbed a yummy adult drink and headed over there. He even got brave and started going down the big slide. Before we knew it, it was time to go to the room for showers before dinner. We had 6:50 reservations at Shutters while we were waiting for the table we played some video games. What a FUN place! We will be returning and with our free 30 min. pass. Dinner was ok We both had the steak, baked potato and seasoned veggies. SJ was exhausted and literally passed out in my arms at the table. I carried him through the restaurant then handed him off to Steven to carry him down the rest of the way. While he was sleeping in my arms in the restaurant the table next to us it was the girls birthday and when everyone sang happy birthday SJ did wake up for a1/2 a sec to sing ppy birthdaaaaayyyyy zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz it was so cute.
Now it’s around 10. SJ is sound asleep, Dh is at the bar and me well I am typing this up so I don’t forget a thing about this trip. I hope to get back to epcot I feel like we missed a lot.
