So we have offically decided to take my DS to disney world for his third birthday! We will be there for a week and at this point we are staying at the Car. Beach resort (may change to Wilderness lodge).

Any ideas, tips, suggestions, etc. to make his B-day EXTRA special?

I am think of getting presents from home and bringing them with us to have them from "mickey". It appears to be very expensive to get a b-day package from disney.

I am leaning toward breakfast at chef mikey's and the day at MK.

Thoughts?

We are thinking about planning a trip for next October for my son's third b-day as well. I think Chef Mickeys would be fun...tell them it's his Bday and they will give him special attention and a cupcake with a candle too. I think just being at Disney for his Bday will be special, but there is also the Bday button, get him a balloon on Main Street, have his hair done at the barbershop or at the NEW Pirate Boutique, set up a treasure hunt for his gifts at the resort or at MK, and of course TAKE LOTS OF PICTURES!!! My Dad celebrated his 60th at Disney with us last year and the resort (Old Key West) that we stayed at left balloons and a personalized card with Donald Ducks autographed picture in it!!! I thought that was really cool! HAve fun and I cant wait to see what other posters suggest :)

We celebrated our twin DS's 3rd bdays at WDW in March. We had breakfast at CRT (for our DD but the boys loved it as well) and had their bday noted on the ressie. They brought them out cupcakes and had the princesses sign bday cards for them. We had their bday dinner at CM's and they absolutely loved it. We ordered them the mickey head cake and it was really good. They also got a signed bday card from all the characters. When we got back to the resort, there were bdays cards under our door from Mickey including a photo and photopass cards that could be used for a 25% discount on the CD. Our boys had a great bday and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

We had our DD's 3rd birthday at WDW this past January. When we checked in, she got a birthday button, and a few days later she had balloons and a signed autograph birthday card from Cinderella left on her bed. On her birthday, we had early entry ADRs at Cinderella's Royal Table. We got there early and had a Photopass photographer take lots of pictures of her in her Cinderella costume. She got lots of attention at breakfast, the princesses each signed a Happy Birthday certificate. We had a personalized cake ordered ahead of time (yes, it was breakfast, but hey). We spent the day in MK, repeating her favorite rides from earlier in the week, and went to Toontown where she rode her first roller coaster (Goofy's Barnstormer). It was the first day of the new "Celebrate A Dream Come True" parade, and one of the dancers draped her in streamers and lots of the characters gave her some special attention. A bus driver gave her a Tinkerbell trading pin. That night, we went to Boma for dinner, where she got a Happy Birthday cupcake. By that point she wasn't really interested in more cake and was very full, but she did eat a few gummy bears off of it and licked the icing. She then picked out a new stuffed animal at the gift shop. On our way out, we saw a photopass photographer in the lobby of AKL with no line, so we had him take some family photos. All in all, a great birthday and a great last day at WDW.

We did ds 6th birthday at Chef Mickeys! We ordered the Mickey head cake and when they brought it out and lit the candle all the characters came over! All the attention was great! I got a lot of great pics with lots of characters! I also had a cake and divers at Coral Reef (but I don't think they do the diver anymore):confused3 He also got a birthday cupcake and table decotations at Crystal Palace! :rotfl: We were staying at Poly and he got a cake, balloons and a card from them also! He loved having his birthday at Disney! His Birthday button got him lots of attention from cast Members and other Guests also! Soooo may people wished him a happy B'day! It was great!:wizard:

We just celebrated my son's birthday in March. He turned 5. We had the Disney florist deliver mickey head balloons attached to a Mickey stuffed animal and it was reasonable. That was in the room when we came back our first night. We had a cake delivered to a dinner and did the castle lunch as well. We took a boat ride together as a "mama and me" activity. And basically loved on him lots. The whole trip just had extra attention for him. We also did the Pirate's Cruise for kids and took him to T-Rex.
