Hi! I just wanted to share my good news. Last March my mom was diagnosed with stage 3b lung cancer and only given 8 months to live. the immediatly started her on radiation and chemo. She has completed all of that ( it took almost 9 months) and she just went for another Pet scan and she is cancer free.party: Thanks for reading!!!

GREAT NEWS!!!! Congratulations and may she remain cancer free forever.

God Bless you and especially your MOM!!!!!!!!!
I work for ALA and am just thrilled about your news!!!!!!

your whole family must be both relieved and thrilled, you have all been through a tough time especially your mum. I think you now need to go on a family disney holiday to celebrate your good news.

Lots of love to you all :woohoo: :thumbsup2 :woohoo:

That's wonderful! So glad she responded so positively to the treatment.

That is fantastic! It is nice to hear something positive!! :)

Yea! That's FANTASTIC!! :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

I have a coworker who has battled breast cancer a couple times. This past time they found it in her shoulder, and her clavical actually broke. I'm amazed that she is back to work! :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes She said she had to keep going for her little ones. :) She had a baby several months back. Just after that was when they found the cancer again. I'm truly amazed that people are surviving this stuff! pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

That's great news, I'm so happy for you & your mom.

We also had some very bad news about a family member with cancer, then received the news that it may not be quite so bad so I know what a relief it can be.

Enjoy!! :goodvibes

That is FANTASTIC!!!! A friend of mine was diagnosed a year ago with Stage 4 lung cancer. She went through her treatments and was doing great, then the cancer came back. They just did surgery a couple weeks ago to remove it and she is doing WONDERFULLY!!! She's a miracle!

My youger cousin Gigi waas diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and given 2wks to live. Thank God she had an aggressive oncologist who was willing to pull out all the stops! She managed to hang in there for 3-1/2 years during which she took trips with her young son and set her affairs in order. We were sad to lose her, but she gave it all she had. She had way more time left than anyone ever dreamed and she made the most of it.

Good for your cousin. I'm sorry she didn't make it but it sounds like she made the most of it! That's how you have to live your life, you know? DOING, not just sitting around. I had cancer back in August, had surgery to take care of it in early Sept. I didn't need any other treatments thank God. But I will say, it's changed my outlook on life. I look at everything differently now!:thumbsup2
