395 days of planning all lead up to this! Sept/Oct 2012

Sometimes posting in a thread on the DIS is like putting your hand in a cage and seeing who is gonna bite you.

:rolleyes1

It's amazing how many of the people on here will bite your head off. Or in this case, hand.

Oh boy. I honestly don't understand what the big deal is with that new policy.

Seriously it seems like every person who doesn't like it must fall ill every time they are at Disney. It's all "Oh so Disney doesn't give a S**t about me if my kids gets sick that morning and is puking and if I don't go I have to pay $10 per person". popcorn:: I read for something like 20 pages before I finally had to comment. I'm sure Disney will be lenient (sp?) and will not charge the fee but I can just see people in another park and it's raining...or they are at their resort having fun at the pool and don't wanna go just calling and playing the "sick kid" card and hope not to get charged.

My point was "Disney gives you the curtosy of letting you book your ADR 180 days in advance, they are only asking for the same curtosy to cancel within 48 hours of your scheduled ADR. How is that asking too much?"

And then I got lots of snappy comments on how was I going to prevent my kids from getting sick, etc.

Hell if one of them is puking their guts out I'm not concerned about $40. I'm gonna worry about my kid. But if they have a fever or just icky tummy they will go to dinner but not be forced to eat.

OMG...you are SO right! Some people will say ANYthing thanks to the anonymity of the 'net. You're a brave soul to venture onto the ADR cancellation thread!

Just put another $350 on the trip tonight! Feeling very good since I only just booked the trip in September!

$2065 to go!

That was the insurance when I booked through the Disney company. Very basic insurance. Everything was booked at disneyworld.ca (well wherever it gets directed to) and that was the price. And of course we'll get insurance on our flights (which has to be booked seperately since I'm in Canada) when we book them.
