$39 fares + AP = Another trip!

So....I'm just innocently checking the fares on Southwest last week and I see $39 one way flights to Orlando. And wait, we already have AP's...Hmmm. Check the Dolphin - no availability on Saturday and Sun, check Swan, sold out Friday and Sat. Email DU, they say most of the AP rates are sold out.

But wait! I see AKL for $165 / night. Book it, I say! So what if we went in Feb.? And so what if we're going back in November? We're going in May for 5 nights, I say! DW says I'm nuts, but says it with a smile. All co-workers / friends say "You're crazy" - but do I detect a hint of envy in their voices?

So, I'm not crazy, am I?

Those AP's really save you money over parkhoppers....

We bought our first AP's in 1998 for 2 trips about 11 1/2 months apart, ended up going 4 times and buying DVC!

Lucky you. I'm on Orbitz fare watch myself for anytime there is a good deal between Newark and Orlando. When there is, we'll be there - even if it's just 2-3 days! We've never done this before, usually go every 2-4 years but these boards got us hooked, very bad!

I hear you. We are going back for our 4th time just because the AP is expiring at end of April and we got the AP rate. Can't beat it.

Now I just have to refrain from renewing the pass so I don't go back another four times next year.

I don't know... I kinda like the 12-step approach. We can justify it to others as getting help for our addiction - they won't know they are really secret marathon planning sessions!!

That's what happend to us when we bought them last May, because we knew of 2 trips for last year....I'm planning our 4th right now!!!
