1. I have 368 VGC points, December UY (split 2015/2016; latter can be borrowed), @ $15. Very few people have this many VGC points available.
PLEASE NOTE: VGC IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO RESERVE LESS THAN 7 MONTHS OUT. Out of curiosity I just searched for studio availability between today (June 23) and year-end. There is only one night available. So you pretty much have to reserve 7+ months out from an owner there.
It only makes sense to use these points for reservations 7-11 months out, at VGC.
2. Also 355 SSR points, for stays 3/1/2016 and later only, at $13 a point.
To give you some perspective on VGC, renting a studio from 12/13/15 to 12/18/15, would be:
100 points = $1500
5 nights cash from Disney w/ tax = $3124
The VGC DVC studio is better than the VGC regular hotel studio.
Sorry, cannot transfer. Rentals are final transactions, not refundable (but if you have someone else whose name can be substituted, that is no problem). When DVC Members commit points, sometimes borrowed from future Use Years, they become encumbered. They lose value over time. Cancellations months from now impede the ability to re-rent them. DVC is not like a hotel.
I have been renting since 2006, including often through Disboards. Please send a PM and thereafter it's much easier to communicate via email or telephone (especially if you have questions or want to look at various options), so please include yours if you are willing to do that.
