There was a huge quality leap forward this year (mostly this summer) on 360 cameras and camera rigs (and some even bigger ones coming very soon). I decided that there was a model I thought was to my minimum standards on what I want from a video recording and finally jumped on purchasing one.

For the first time in several decades, I feel like a complete newb on where I would want to film from. The game is a little different when it's not just directly in front of you video your taking. I'm expecting a lot of time in the parks and finding out what works best for me.

I would love some feedback, even if you have never done any 180, panaromic or 360 video before including what and where you might be interesting in seeing.

my short list right now:
- Wishes from behind the castle.
- Jingle boom (disney named it poorly). not 100% sure where I want to be for that one but a good projection viewing location at minimum.
- mk parades. I'm not 100% sure where would be the best spot to get this.

any thoughts, feedback, ideas? what would you want to see if you can watch a video that is all around you.

Top one that comes to my mind would be the 360 degree nye fireworks at MK. And the Epcot NYE fireworks

- mk parades. I'm not 100% sure where would be the best spot to get this.

My first thought for the parade would be in the reserved area in Town Square, looking down Main Street. Part way through you would have some parade on 3 sides of you, plus the castle in the background. The Hub would give a similar situation with floats around you, but you wouldn't get that head on shot like in Town Square

I think there is a dead spot so the floats can turn the corner there and nobody is allowed to stand. I wonder if they would let me put up the camera there and remotely control it from outside the reserved area.

So the first official disney 360 video has appeared. Looks like they rented one of the stupid high quality broadcast units that a couple companies make but interesting to see disney jumping into the 360/VR recordings this early in the game..
