35 MM Camera Deal At Target!!

I needed a 35MM camera at the last minute for our trip tomorrow (we have one, but it's too bulky, and my digital eats batteries like crazy). I was looking all over for a particular Canon one I wanted that was under $100, but wasn't having luck. I stumbled upon the Minolta Freedom Zoom 130 at Target. It was originally $139.99, and on clearance for $69.99. Of course they didn't have anymore left and the kid said I couldn't buy the display.

I did some more hunting, went to other stores, etc...couldn't find anything. Went back to Target, a different person was working, I asked again if I could buy the display and she said sure and that it would be an additional 30% off!! So I got it for $49 and change. I'm so excited!! It sure pays to be persistent! It has good reviews that I can see online and it didn't come with a box or instructions, but the clerk showed me how to use everything.

Definately check your Target if you are needing a new camera!

I have one suggestions for ALL digital camera users...Get rechargeables that are "Nickel-Metal Hydride" of 1800mAh or higher... They are worth every penny.

We bought a set of 4 plus a fast charger for $30 and a second set of batteries for $23 (Canadian so it may be cheaper than that for you...) We Used nothing but on our last trip and it was rare that we would even use one complete charge per day but we always had the second one in our bag...

F.Y.I We take over 250 digitals on each day!!!!

You will never buy anything else...We also use them at home for things like the cordless mouse I'm using right now...

WOW, I guess it is much higher in Canada. We spent 15. on the charger with 4 batteries and each addition set of 4 was 8.00.
Ours are the Hi Energy Nickel Metal Hydride. Not 1800s but, they do quite well.

Mine just broke and I thought Wow Great Deal but I see you live on Long Island. Did you buy this in the target at Roosevelt field? If you did you took the last one.

I got it at the Setauket store. We just got back from our trip...and I saw the same camera at the Camera Shop in the MK for $250.00! I sure hope my pics come out good.....I can't wait to get the pics developed tomorrow!
