Don't you just want to shake him by the shoulders a bit?!? I keep saying that DH just doesn't understand... Of course, I hope he feels the magic. We are preparing for him to be not impressed, and that way any little bit of excitement or enjoyment will be icing on the cake. If nothing else, he will enjoy the resort and get in some good nap time!

Yes quite often in fact. Though when mentioning yesterday that plans may change (the family we were meeting we may not be meeting down there due to personal things going on for them), his comment was as long as we are still going for as long and we are doing the Halloween MNSSHP I don't care what the days are. So maybe he is a bit excited he just doesn't want to let on how much so? Maybe he'll get more excited once my taxes come in, and there can actually be money put down to make it more real that we are going haha!

OK, so I kind of fibbed a bit in my last post. But since occasionally nursing type people visit here, I'll come clean - I've been spending a lot of medical time with DD18 as of late, 10 hours at emergency and various other tests since Sunday. Apparently the flu was not the cause of the illness of the past two weeks, as DD18 is jaundiced and her liver is not functioning properly. Lots of testing to continue, but so far Hep C has been ruled out. We had some improvement of blood work in today's test, and ultrasound came back clear. She seems in pretty good spirits now that she is not constantly vomiting, but as she puts it "this yellow skin is not working with my current eye shadow palettes", so she's still got her priorities in order, lol. However, we will have to see how stable things are, and how specialist appointment goes, before we can embark upon this trip without parental guilt. Hoping for more good news from Friday's upcoming blood tests. Thanks for reading.
Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear about your DD. Hope she feels better soon.

WOWZA! Liver issues can be VERY serious! I'm so glad her tests are normalizing and that she's at least feeling a little better. Vomiting stinks. Well, I mean it's not fun either.

Eh hemmm.... Anyway, please keep us posted! It'll be interesting to hear what they come up with. SO happy it's not any of the "biggies"!

Hope your daughter is doing ok. Sounds like some scary stuff. I'm happy that things seem to be improving for her! Will keep sending positive thoughts your way!

Sorry for the scare, but good thing she will be resting at home this weekend. Sending more hugs and positive vibes.
