34% full

We only had 5 kids on our Alaksa trip and it worked out great too. I thought it would be a disaster because we had two sets of sisters - one 4 and 9 and the other 11-year-old twins - and my DS who had his 9th birthday during the trip. But all the kids got along great and DS became really good friends with one of the twins. We had a trip full of kids last summer in Yosemite and he didn't click with anybody, but on the Galapagos trip this past March the way the kids bonded was just amazing. So you just never know.

Smuggs, I noticed you are down to just 2 weeks! Please let us know how the Embassy Suites works out for you. I had a dream last night that the shuttle didn't get us back to the airport in time to meet our group. I had a dream before the Galapagos trip that we missed the plane, which we didn't, of course.

We are now at T-42. I just spoke to ABD and there are still only 15 people on our trip. I would like to have another kid or two, since there are only 5, including my own, but a smaller group sound kinda nice. The date just before ours is full with 44 guests, and I'm very glad we don't have that many.
As you know, I can't comment on the kids' bonding part, but I'll tell you 15 people is a fabulous number of people. Although I was surprised at how little of an issue 39 people was on the Med cruise. The Guides seem able to handle it easily, no matter how many are on the trip!
