Great updates, I love the relaxed day you had in St Thomas
The movement of the ship that evening scares me though - not sure how I would have coped :(
I will have to remember the walk like Mickey or Goofy tip! :)

Subscribing! :coffee:

I stumbled upon your post (someone linked it to reference the mixology class) and here I am an hour and a half later!!!

Love it...Now off to bed I go!! :cloud9:

What a terrific TR! I LOVE how every update is linked separate. So easy to read everything without having to wade through multiple comments! Awesome!

Quick question though, I had no idea about the air not turning on unless something was put in the card slot? Can someone explain this to me? Is that on the inside or outside of the door? I guess I don't understand "keeping" the lights on once you're inside the room?

Thanks and I'm thinking this will be a valuable tip!

CRSNDSNY ~ I had some stuff come up the last couple of days but I'm really hoping to finish the whole report before the day is through. :cheer2:

DreamBound23 ~ I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Stay tuned for more! Big thanks to Loveysbydesign for posting the link! :thumbsup2

BadWitch, the slot is located inside your cabin, if you don't keep your room key (or some other type of card) in the slot your lights and AC won't work. So if you want to come back to a cool room it's been suggested to bring an old gift card or something similar to leave in the slot while you're out of the room so that it stays on. You can turn the lights off and on manually when the card is in the slot. I hope that helps. :)

YES! thank you! I'd not have known this! :cool1:

After lunch it was time to head to our Wine & Chocolate tasting in Ooh La La. This was fabulous! It's $30 per person, so a little on the pricey side, but just the whiskey pour alone would cost you more than that if you ordered it by itself.

The chocolate is also expensive, the brand is Vahlrona and to give you an idea of the price/quality, a 0.7 oz. bar cost $2.50 where a 1.55 oz. Hershey bar cost approximately .65 cents. I'm not a chocolate snob by any means, I think a Hershey bar tastes pretty good, especially one with almonds in it, and my favorite chocolate is Dove's milk chocolate promises. This chocolate was amazing though. I do not like white chocolate at all and am not a great fan of dark chocolate either...I didn't leave a drip of this chocolate uneaten.

Each person's setting had 4 glasses, champagne, red wine, port, and whiskey. There were also 4 vessels with our different tasting components, I believe the first was melted caramel, the second was solid milk, white and dark chocolate, third was the most delicious Parmesan cheese I've ever tasted, and last was melted milk chocolate.

The person who leads the tasting will give a talk about the history of chocolate, which I found very interesting. Some of it I knew, a lot of it I didn't. They instruct you on how to sample the drinks and chocolate/cheese in front of you, generally it was taste the beverage, then have a taste of one of the chocolates, then taste the beverage again to see how the chocolate changed the flavor. It was fascinating how it really did change. I'm still not a fan of champagne, but the chocolate made it more tolerable. I did discover that I like Port though, I had never tried it before. The whiskey was the real shocker for me. I nearly choked on the initial sip of it, it burned! After the chocolate it was so smooth and you could really appreciate the taste of it more.

We both really enjoyed this tasting, I don't hesitate to recommend it to anyone who likes "adult" beverages and chocolate.

The Bubbles behind the bar, I loved the look of this, I loved all of Ooh La La!

We were on the move a lot today, as soon as we finished up here we were off to the Galley tour. This isn't a very long tour, it lasts about 15 minutes, I thought it was kind of cool to go into the kitchens and see everything, maybe because I love to cook and find anything food and kitchens pretty amazing. You're not going to see anyone in there working and I know a lot of people think it's a boring waste of time, but I liked it. The chef will allow a time for questions, so if you are curious about anything, make sure you have your questions ready! By the way, this tour is free and it isn't always offered, so if you're interested go to guest services to see if they are offering it on your cruise and get your tickets.

Everything was SO clean, which you would hope it would be, but still, I was in awe of how clean it was.

Fresh from the oven chocolate chip cookies are offered at the end of the tour and the Chef will take pictures with anyone who wants them.

After the tour we were off and running again! Since the lines for pictures were so long on formal night and our plan to catch the matinee of the show that day didn't work out for us, we made sure we caught it today. The show today was Believe. It was alright to me, I already expressed my dislike for the way Genie was being portrayed and he was a big part of this show as well. I did enjoy the musical numbers though.

After the show I went to a shop and got some cough syrup. I'd been developing a cough and it was getting worse. So it was back up to the cabin for a nap and Brian went to Meridian to hang out with some friends.

Wow, such wonderful updates!!! The chocolate and spirits tasting looks yummy. I may have to check that out on our upcoming cruise.
All of your food pics make me so hungry. :) Your atrium pictures came out very very nice. We want to get some pictures taken, too. Our last family portrait together was on the Magic back in 2009!

Wonderful updates
Your photos from semi-formal night are lovely and your sparkly sandals look fab, who needs heels! :goodvibes
Isn't the chocolate tasting fun? we did it on our Alaska cruise are really enjoyed it. I can't stand the taste of whiskey normally, but the one we had at this tasting, especially when combined with the chocolate was delicious :cloud9:

Another great update!

I'm a fan of scotch and whiskey. I'm curious about which chocolate they had you eat with it - white, dark, or milk?

I am loving your TR! Learning a lot about the Fantasy, have only cruised on the Wonder and the Magic. Really love the photos. Thanks for posting!:flower3:

Thanks everyone!

tukogirl ~ If I'm not mistaken it was the melted milk chocolate that we tasted with the whiskey, someone else feel free to chime in if you remember differently because I'm not entirely sure, but I think it was that one. I like whiskey in cocktails and I like honey whiskey to drink on the rocks, but straight up whiskey is not my thing. My husband on the other hand was in heaven!
