300 days at WDW, a new site

I still can't figure out why he goes "home" one day a week and where is his home? The air travel is one of the most expensive parts of a trip.

maybe he has lots of air miles saved up
oooh the MK parade is on now! :goodvibes

Its funny, I sort of have the exact opposite impression of Jupelo. I find it hard to believe so many people are buying into all of this. I believe it shows that most people are incredibly trusting until they are proven differently. I for one don't by what he is doing, something just isn't right IMO. Also, can a 19 yo really check in to a hotel? I am going to assume they can but I'm not sure.

I think its weird I have never seen him show HIS food, just everyone elses. Why doesn't he show a half eaten turkey leg or an empty tray? And with all the people who read these boards and with the amount of people on this board who have family visiting, has anyone seen any CM or guest they recognize?

I also wonder about his last posting where he asked people for feedback on how he can make more money on this. He stated that he is only "profiting" 20-30 dollars a day on the current banners being advertised and he needed to make more in order to keep this going. I have to wonder if he and all of us can keep this up for the next 11 months. I honestly don't think he plans on spending all that internet money he has saved but is hoping to break even.

Well I really don't believe about the whole 300 days thing, but I think it's very neat to feel as if you are walking through Disney. That's just me.

But I don't think it's fair for him to ask for money if he set up the website himself.

Look, I don't know why we have to psycho-analyze every little thing. Who cares who or why he is doing this or if what he says is true. I have really enjoyed watching his pictures the last couple of days. In my opinion, if he can find a way to make money off of this then, more power to him!

Either look at his pictures or don't, but I don't think it's necessary to tear this guy apart in the process.

JMHO

I agree completely. Nobody is forcing ANY OF US to look at the pics .. OR buy anything if he so chooses to start charging. I think people have control issues. :duck:

Trusting of what? I just like to see the pics.. I dont care what his motives are.. and if he asks for $, I wont give. SO.. Until then I will have fun looking at the places I've been and enjoying the memories they bring back. What's the point in being negative.. There's no "trust" issue, unless I was giving the guy something. I'm not. So, no trust needed.

Not that it is the place of anyone on these boards to question this man's motives, validity or funding, but it is possible in many ways for a teenager to come by a large amount of money. A personal experience serves as an example. One of my friends from grade school had a brother who was brilliant with computers and his timing was perfectly alligned with the dotcom boom. By the age of 19, He had purchased a half million dollar house, and went into a BMW dealership and paid for his new Z3 convertable in CASH on the spot. It is very possible to get lucky and come into huge amounts of money very quickly if the timing is right.

There are far worse things that a 19 year old with $100,000 in savings could be doing than spending 300 days at Disney and establishing a Charity.

I just checked the site, and there are now Jupelo t-shirts available... but only if you purchase the complete DVD set from Relive the Magic. For $199. This kid is really pushing ways to earn the money. It's definitely a neat site, but I would imagine very few people will be forking the money over for the DVDs and shirt. Especially since you are supposed to order the DVDs and then send a separate email saying what size shirt you want. What are the chances the right order will be linked to the right t-shirt? Or even that you will get one at all?

I agree!!!

Can I ask all of you something that believe this whole crazy thing is legit?

If we are to believe that this "19 year old" owns his own business, obviously has millions of dollars, and simply wants to "spead the magic of Disney" to the rest of us, why is he selling t-shirts?

I don't mean to sound rude, but seriously - Think about it for just a second.

How long are the structures for the Osborne lights up? Jupelo notes that the video snapshots are not live but are a couple of days old. The above photo is from his website on 1/16/2006.

SO what's next we see him in the stalls in the bathrooms? Possibly with the camera snuck under the stall next to him?!? I wouldn't want that to be me! :hyper:

I've been waiting for days now to see some pics of him sleeping. Now THAT would be awesome!!!

I would not be so sure. There is a kid in the UK (I think) that would put up something on his site for you. I believe it was $1 per pixel and he has grossed almost $1 million dollars. Now I would never buy from him, but many did. I saw this a little while ago on the TV Sunday moring news, so don't remember the entire story.

Googled it Mickeyfan2! That kids site is called Milliondollarhomepage and om darn why didn't I think of that  ! Oh well, what can ya do, no use crying over spilled...millions, haha! Sigh :confused3 . Maybe some day I'll think of something really good!

In the meantime, I go every now and then and look at some of the shots taken on the Jupelo site. They arn't very good at all, and I don't look often. Don't care what he's selling, or how hard he tries to make a buck. Good for him I say! We are all after a bit of the pie after all. Me I don't plan on buying anything just because someone may start a charity and it might be a good one and a minisule amount of the money I spent on a product I only just so much wanted will go towards said charity.

I doubt anyone else would either.

Did that make any sense at all :scared: lol!

The story is that he received an extortion email from a hacker who took his site down when he did not respond. Apparently it's back up now.

This is no stranger to me than the guy I saw on TV the other night that is trying to visit every Starbucks in the world. I say more power to him. He is 19 years old, key word "Teen" not the brightest bunch (but we love them anyway). Just kidding teens ha ha. I have two myself and they can come up with some really wacky scemes. Maybe he realizes that you only live once, so live it up. Would I spend that kind of money if I had it? Probably not, but who am I to judge what someone else chooses to do just because it is not something I would do?

Oh for the record? Nah, I don't really care for his site, but that is just one ladies opinion. I of course looked tonight for the first time when he seemed to be at the vet or something?

If he really is giving to charity, I think it is very noble. If he is a con artist? Well, I don't really have any money to give him anyway so I would be a lost cause to him. LOL.
