I was there on Jan. 5-9th and Christmas music was playing everyday at Epcot. It was really annoying since Christmas was over and it drove me insane. :rotfl:
The Beach Club carousel was down though.

Christmas decorations were still up at the parks. (I only went to MK and Epcot and Christmas decorations were still up there, not sure about the other parks)

But I don't believe that this guy is at Disney that long.
We were there Jan. 2-9, and Christmas decorations and music were everywhere the whole time. It was making me crazy - all I wanted was to hear the regular park music, and I never got a minute of it!

The tree in the lobby at Pop Century was finally down the morning of the 8th, and they stopped playing the Christmas music there at that time, but that was the only place we saw that happen.

But, he does keep you coming back for more! That's just good marketting/publicity/whatever! Someone once said that bad publicity is still Publicity!

He had a nice five-minute walk behind someone with a rather large posterior yesterday! DW said she'd be honked off if it was her behind that people were making fun of on the internet!

I'd be interested to hear what the official WDW stance on his site is...

HE isn't keeping anyone coming back for more. This THREAD may be. However, once this thread dies down I'm sure traffic will coincidentally die down as well.

Fortunately, it wasn't necessary for me to view a very boring attempt at self-promotion and anyone's blurry backside in order to post this comment.

This is ridiculous, people. I've been on the DIS for awhile and I've never seen this kind of stuff posted. It's crazy how sarcastic alot of people on this particular board are.

It's not going to be the best quality if it's being posted second by second.

I for one find it intriguing and an ingenious bit of technology. I thought it was a video camera at first too but according to his site, they're simply a bunch of digital pictures strung together. The only way I can think he pulls it off would be to have a camera that takes the pictures automatically every second or so. Since he's taking thousands and thousands of pictures a day, he's probably set the camera at the lowest resolution possible (storage reasons alone), and together with the lack of a flash and the fact that he's moving, the quality is naturally pretty bad.

I do wonder about the legal aspect of putting people online that have no idea they're being photographed however. I guess it's not much different than a service like Flickr though...

Its funny, I sort of have the exact opposite impression of Jupelo. I find it hard to believe so many people are buying into all of this. I believe it shows that most people are incredibly trusting until they are proven differently. I for one don't by what he is doing, something just isn't right IMO. Also, can a 19 yo really check in to a hotel? I am going to assume they can but I'm not sure.

I think its weird I have never seen him show HIS food, just everyone elses. Why doesn't he show a half eaten turkey leg or an empty tray? And with all the people who read these boards and with the amount of people on this board who have family visiting, has anyone seen any CM or guest they recognize?

I also wonder about his last posting where he asked people for feedback on how he can make more money on this. He stated that he is only "profiting" 20-30 dollars a day on the current banners being advertised and he needed to make more in order to keep this going. I have to wonder if he and all of us can keep this up for the next 11 months. I honestly don't think he plans on spending all that internet money he has saved but is hoping to break even.

Interesting reading his website - Disboards were mentioned >
That aside, I can't thank all of you enough for the endless kind words about this project. For those of you who might be curious, here is just one example of the (literally) hundreds of upbeat emails I got:

Hello Jupelo,

Thanks for inviting my sons and I on your journey. We are enjoying your trip so far and have discussed how awesome a young person you are to actually be making this happen. BTW - you never answered on your website the meaning of your pseudonym.

I stumbled across your site from the DisBoards. You have really started a message board war there - although it does not take much to do that. :) My sons (just turned 13 and 11) and I are Disney nuts. We were there 12/3-12/11 2005 - CBR (hail to the cantaloupe and chocolate pudding) and are planning our Halloween trip, maybe POR or if we can't swing it, POP - maybe we'll see you there! People think we are "a bit off" also because we scrimped and saved for years for this past trip and are scrimping and scrounging for our next one, but it is all worth it to us. THE MAGIC! THE MAGIC!

You are VERY CORRECT about your analysis of the Disney Magic and bringing back great memories - strange you are so wise for your years, but I guess that is what owning your own businesses does to you - you become a student of human nature.

Anyway lest I become too verbose, I'll end. Thanks for letting us hook up with your adventures! We'll be living your life vicariously in slow-mo occasionally throughout our mundane daily routine, bringing us a bit o' magic during the time we are away from the World.

Be well, have fun and good luck!

Jill, Ian and Devin

OK, after I posted I traveled back over to his site and he was eating again. He seems to be in restaurants a lot more than most people but perhaps it is I happen to check it out during his dining hours.

Anyway, he said he was staying at the Grosvenor in DTD but he used a resort ID card to charge his strawberry's, small water and pastry, it came to appx $7, he showed the register. Now it came up, guest ID on the display AND it said approved AND he shot the CM holding the resort ID waiting for it to go through and then be signed. Does anyone know if the Grosvenor has resort ID's and if they do, do they have charging privledges at the parks?

Enquiring minds, well my mind, want to know...:)

The photos do provide proof of sorts. It looks like it's screen snapshots from a video tape taken every 5 seconds. The camera appears to have been left on always as he walks around the parks.

There are enough people watching this website now that if the photos are fakes, someone will notice.

Yeah if you don't want to look at his pictures then stop looking at his site. In less you are just looking for something to complain about. :confused3

I don't know. I just think it's humorous is all. It's all so silly, I kind of am enjoying it.

it looks like he does a lot of 'resort hopping,' he's stayed at disney hotels too. the footage isn't live and is sometimes from several days ago so maybe that's why you saw him using a guest ID when his trip report said he was at grosvenor? :confused3 or maybe i'm completely wrong :upsidedow

The only reason I questioned him using a resort ID card was according to the trip report he wrote that accompanied the "pictures" he took that day he said he was at the Grosvenor, DTD and Epcot.

Someone on this list must have stayed at the Grosvenor at one time or another, does Disney take the Grosvenor's cards in the park? Is he deliberately saying he is staying at one resort yet is at another? I still can't figure out why he goes "home" one day a week and where is his home? The air travel is one of the most expensive parts of a trip. How did he get back to the airport? Did he take a cab, mears?

I am sorry I am so skeptical on this guys actions and real motives, it must be the homeland security course I took in the fall...:)

Also, I can't imagine him actually holding everyone's interests in another few weeks or so, I mean, it is basically just a lot of people's back sides and trash cans, so many trash cans!!!
