300 days at WDW, a new site

Honestly - This is freaking me out. Why would someone do this? It's just bizarre.

LOL who cares why this kid is doing it. Think of it this way.. if you are planning on going.. you can just watch him for a lil while and see how the crowds are. ;)

On a trip to Universal Studios recently, we sat next to a guy at the Beetlejuice show that I had seen several times at the show. He was sitting in the front row, where I had seen him before. I asked him, "so, you come to this show often?" He replied "every day."

Is the Beetlejuice show that good? Maybe it should go on Broadway! ;)

Interesting, but this guy has way too much time on his hands. I read his bio and everything...something isn't completely "right" with him. But more power to him for going to WDW for 6 days a week.

When I see something like this, I tend to think the samething but it makes you realize how lucky we are to be Americans and live in this great country. Only in America can someone take a year out of his life and only God knows how much money to spend a year at WDW. He's doing this for the same reason that some fly a balloon nonstop around the world or spend millions to go to space as a tourist. Because you can and the fame and attention this brings.

I'll be willing to bet a Dole Whip that the media of some kind will be picking up on this story. I can see the morning tv shows picking this story up soon. For the rest of his life he will be known to some as the guy who lived at WDW for a year and documented his experience. Part of me thinks he needs to be medicated and put under medical supervision. Another part of me thinks he's doing something no one else has and if this floats his boat, then more power to him.

We have a lot of different people in this country that do some pretty odd things because our country allows us the opportunity to do crazy stunts like this. I hope that the 100k (that's the number I heard) he's blowing on this in a year will be worth it. If he's doing this because he feels lost and trying to find out what he wants to do with his life then I hope this helps, but I think he's off a little on this one. I wish him well and I'll bet he will never sit foot in Disney theme park again after this is all over. :scared:

The only thing is.. and a few others have said something before.. is its 10:20 pm.. MGM closed about 3 1/2 hours ago... and its showing he's on the great movie ride.... I don't know..

Hey Beckwhy - http://www.jupelo19.com/howitworks.html

"Now, even though Jupelo19.com probably feels a lot like it's all happening live, usually what you're seeing took place a few days ago (it takes me some time to get all the photos arranged so they display in sequence). So keep that mind - especially if it's raining on this site but it's a bright sunny day in Orlando"

His back story & trip reports have been very interesting - I agree that this story will get picked up by the news and talk shows soon! As always, you hear it all first on the DisBoards!

I always thought it'd be neat to do a semester of college at WDW - I couldn't even imagine a whole year! (But, I'd sure like to try!!!)

LOL Yeah... I got bored trying to read all he wrote.. umm but where do you get that counter thingy?

Sorry.... but don't get what is so "amazing" :confused3
I would much rather look at the "Picture of the Day" thread.
I guess I don't have the patience to keep "refreshing" :confused3
It is an interesting concept though! ........ ::yes::

I guess it would be much more effective if there was sound!!! Just watching the Tarzan show now..... (even though I like the show)... just seems boring without sound.... I just want it to "Move On" already :crazy2:

I agree- how about a camcorder instead????? Technology is available. ;)

I'm sorry, if I'm the only one that thinks this is a little disturbing.

:goodvibes He's in the World of Disney right now, cool! Yes it would be great if all the pictures were clearer and I agree sound would be wonderful, but that ain't gonna happen. I don't know much about these things but I can imagine what the bandwith would have to be then :scared: . I enjoy it when he's in the shops, because I actually imagine them when I'm home dreaming of our next trip :flower: . Although it was a bummer when he walked right past the Nightmare stuff in the shop on the way out of TOT!

I thought too, maybe he will forget himself and walk by a mirror and reveal himself. Do you guys really think he will get print and TV? Somehow I don't, don't know why. People don't seem to know what he's doing, those who are walking in front of him. However he's taking the pictures, he must be very quiet and discreet.

I have heard reports that quite a few people who have purchased things from shoptheparks had a lot of trouble with that company, didn't recieve their order and such, emails weren't answered. In fact haven't they changed their name a few times? Just a heads up incase anyone is tempted to order a DVD or anything else they sell. Plus the mark up is quite high.

It's always best to order from Walt Disney World Mail order by calling
1-407-363-6200 and letting them know what you'd like. No mark up other than postage too :flower: !

This is really interesting, but it's 4:30 AM here in MN, meaning 5:30 EST and he's walking to Saratoga Springs to catch a bus???? It's perfectly dark here and perfectly bright and sunny there. Don't think that's right??? But fascinating none the less.

OK, I read some of the trip report and he plays it over again at night. Interesting.
