the funny man is back. Let's see...I can give you a ballpark estimate if you'd like. Three times shopping with Nicki, two times every other day and then three times on our departure day. 18 times, if not more.

I can't wait to hit our old favorites and the new ones Nicki has planned; she has never let us down yet.

I think I've been to every single one of the restaurants Nikki is taking you too except Tommy Bahama. I like them all. Steamers is great! There is a new place next door called "The Local" that impressed me once.

You must try Tommy Bahamas. It is not cheap, but it is so good. This will be our third time there.

How exciting for KTTK tour! I can't wait to take the tour. We also want to do the AK Trek as well.

The AK trek will be the next one; maybe the kids will want to do that next year with us.

The outlet malls here are insane, aren't they? We've hit 2 of them in Orlando so far. And once was last Friday during the tax free. Gah! Cleaned up. I feel like I would always get jipped at most of the Chicagoland ones.

I am NEVER successful at the Chicago outlet malls except for the Skechers I go to for my shoes; I always feel ripped off. I sometimes think I should bring an extra suitcase for when Nicki and I go shopping so that I can buy all that I want.

Yay for Nickiland! I know how much you cherish those trips. Some quality beach and bestie time are always good for the soul.
I really need to seek out the Tommy Bahama's in Orlando. Sounds right up my alley.

Sorry to hear about your mother's situation. Before you decide to have them move in you should check some social service agencies to see what options she has. If your relationship is strained it will not improve by living together. You and Mark are such a great couple and parents and that is where your priorities are. Plus I know you said you plan to move to FL in a couple of years and Andy might buy your house, so how would that work with your mother there? Do not feel guilty thinking of yourselves, I know you are not a selfish person.

My brother is checking with public aid, checking other apartment complexes for lower rent, etc. I am putting it out of my mind until at least after vacation. Yes, you brought up a good point about Andy; he should definitely not be burdened with all of that...he is young and has his own life.

I love that you are always able to combine your Disney trip with a beach trip. Such a great combination. How far is Miami from the condo? There are so many places in Florida I still want to see.

Miami is about 2 hours and 20 minutes from the condo...so not bad at all.

I am so with you on the family drama stuff! I know exactly what you're going through! There comes a time when you just have to say "I'm done!" and actually mean it and stick with it!

It's funny because although I wasn't totally blown away by OKW at first, the more I think about it, the more I like it in retrospect! More specifically, I miss my quiet little balcony overlooking the golf course! Wish I could've spent more time sitting out there!

I think with the issues you had with check-in, it might have dampened your enthusiasm. We truly have found a new home here.

So, since I have to get my girls TR done by tomorrow, I am just going to do a recap of our days here. Unfortunately, the weather is calling for some rain during our trip (I should be used to this after June), so it may alter our plans, but I'm hoping not by much.

We arrive in Orlando around 11:30; we check in here



We are dining here:




Saturday, August 17 is our



And we will be dining here for lunch



Then we head here:



and we will be having dinner at Rose & Crown for the first time in about five years.

Sunday, August 18 brings us here:



And we will be dining with some favorite friends before park opening:

(no, those two cuties won't be with us, but they will be in December)

We will hang out at the MK until our lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern; we'll probably go back to the hotel to rest/swim and then back to the MK for EMH's.

Monday, August 19 will bring us here:



And we will be having breakfast here at 9:30 a.m.



We will also be having a DIS meet when we finish breakfast with emmysmommy (Brenda and daughter Emily).

We will hang out at AK for awhile and then go back to the resort to rest/swim until we need to get ready for dinner here:



After dinner, we will tour around the Polynesian, hope to meet up with Solana31 (Suzi) and her son, and then we will watch Wishes from the Poly beach.
