30 days to go before our first trip home

The excitement is gathering higher and higher in anticipation for our first trip using our DVC at BLT. We bought in sight unseen on Black Friday promotion last November at NY DVC store. We had CR reservations for a Feb trip but cancelled and made the August BLT 2 bedroom reservation. Don't you love the reaction you get from some people when you tell them your going to Disney in August?
We've made several trips to WDW over the last 10 years. I first went to a conference in 1999. I was blown away. Couldn't wait to share with my young family a couple years later. As rookies, we stayed at the Double Tree Suites in Downtown Disney. We did the buses, no resort restaurants and barely figured out fast passes. A couple years later, we did a long 10 day trip at Polynesian. We went with my sister-in-laws family. Learned how fun it is to go with large group, resort restaurant hopping and LOCATION. A few other trips, we've stayed at BC and Dolphin and Swan. Also have enjoyed theming and property of Port Orleans and CB. This experience led to our biggest reason for buying at BLT. LOCATION. The hardest part of decision was between BLT, BCV or BWV. EPCOT is our favorite but the deal for BLT direct from Disney and the location for MK is awesome for Wishes every night.
Planning a post everyday till take off. Maybe even a live trip report. Big reason for DVC was to enjoy the anticipation.

I hope you enjoy your stay. I did a split stay between BCV and Blt last year and thought it was a great combination to be close to Magic Kingdom and than Epcot.

I'm very interested in a split stay for a future trip. Need to work on DW. Gives opportunity to experience another resort and location. Get a chance to walk into EPCOT, Chill with the animals or relax in a quiet, lush resort.

Have a great trip and enjoy the anticipation! We leave for AKL two weeks from today!! I've been showing our 3 year old (first trip) pictures and he dances through the living room yelling "I there, I there". Can't wait to see his face when we walk down Main Street.

A split stay sounds like a good idea to me. I'd like to try AKL and BWV. Get to experience both and take advantage of location at an EPCOT resort.
