Heads-up for bargin hunters wanting these passes---

Just talked to Rosa at Paramount International Travel. Today (9/24/2004) is the LAST DAY they will be selling the 30 day Fun-in-the-Sun passes. She said DISNEY was discontinuing this promotion and the passes they now have expire after April 29, 2005. I'm not sure whether it is true about Disney no longer offering them because Rosa also said that after today Paramount will no longer be selling ANY tickets.

Good news is, they only cost $311 + $15 per order shipping charge. You must order them by 3pm eastern time TODAY. 888-281-6699. If you don't know what these are, MouseSavers explains them on their website.

I asked Rosa if I, being a US citizen (these are promoted only in other countries) would be able to buy and use them and her answer was a resounding yes.

::yes:: :wave2:

Nope! I asked her why and she said Disney was no longer going to offer the program. Then, and don't ask me WHY I asked her this, but I said "are you guys going out of business?" She hesitated for SEVERAL seconds. When she didn't answer I said "maybe I shouldn't ask. -- but if I buy the passes they will be good, right?" She confirmed that there would be absolutely NO PROBLEM with them as they were purchased by Paramount from Disney.

So, I don't know what is going on -- just that $311 is a heck of a deal!

I would love to think that this is some kind of mistake, but it seems that Rosa has never given out inaccurate information.

I am very sorry to hear this. :( Paramount has been an excellent option for ticket purchases and has had excellent customer service.

I wrote to Mary Waring (MouseSavers) as soon as I heard. She wrote back that she called Rosa and confirmed. Mary has taken them off of her links. Ah, well. I still haven't purchased mine but plan to as soon as I hear from the others in our travel group. There shouldn't be any problem with WDW honoring these come February, right?

Not at all! You paid the money, you have a "legal" ticket. You will have no problems regarding them.

Wow...this is truly a bummer. :( We bought our FITS passes last year through Paramount--we loved the passes and Paramount was great to deal with. I'm sorry to hear this, but thanks for posting cuz it's good to know...

I need a bit of help please. I have to decide whether to buy the 30 day at $311 or annual passholder for $403? We will be there from 2/1 through 2/12 (early checkout and then flights home) so we have a MAX of 11 days usage.

2004 APH has lots of 'likes' (free parking & food discounts), but the 2005 benefits have not yet been announced. I'm particularly interested in the 25% of Cirque Du Soleil. I even called Cirq and THEY don't know yet if the discount will apply! Also, it is doubtful that any of us will be returning before the APH would expire.

30 day gives all parks + Pleasure Island, Disney Quest & a free breakfast - not that we would necessarily use the PI or DQ, but we do eat!

I am REALLY in a quandry and have to decide for myself and 3 other people (adults) - none of whom are available to help with the decision!

ANY COMMENTS (quickly of course) you might have would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!

staying at a disney resort gives you free parking... so, that's not necessarily a "perk" of either pass... i would go w/the FITS to save nearly a hundred dollars, unless you are *sure* you will be back again w/in 12 months...

about cirque... disney visa (if you have one) regularly offers cirque discounts if that helps make your decision...

We were going to purchase these for our trip next year :( Have to find a different option now.

I wonder why they are discontinuing them?

I'm afraid that this may be a telling conversation. :(

That stinks!!! I have never ordered anything from Paramount International Travel, but was looking forward to ordering from Rosa for our next trip {2007}.

Question is, is Disney stopping these tickets all together or is Paramount International Travel just going to stop selling them? I thought I saw that some other places sold FITS passes also, but Paramount International Travel's prices were lower.
If Disney is stopping all together, what can someone do for tickets if they are going for 9 days {really 10 days, but we have a day left on our old tickets thanks to Charley}? Not really sure if APH would be the way to go or not for my family.

Please, any advice. Disney should really come out with something else besides a APH for people who don't live that close to WDW. My family would only be using it once and not going back for a couple of more years. Plus trying to get through DH head that we need the APH will be something else.

Hi there!

I just purchased 9 of these tickets yesterday from DiscountOrlando, and there was no mention of being discontinued at all.

They simply asked when I was going to the World and when I would like my tickets shipped.

How much are the FITS passes from DiscountOrlando?

Howdy everyone,

Now I am a little concerned and worried. I ordered my FITS tickets on 9/22 and I have not heard anything from them yet. I tried to go to their website today and it is not found. I hope that I will here from them this week and that I will get my tickets before I leave on 10/15. I also tried their phone number and it doesn't seem to be working either. I hope she responds to my e-mail tomorrow. Now I'm even more concerned that I won't have any tickets. I know I won't be out the money because I put it on AMEX but that is just a big hassle.

I really went back and forth on what type of ticket to purchase and now I think I made a wrong choice. I hope not.

Thanks,

Hi Frank!

Did you ever receive confirmation of your order? If you did, then I think that you have no worries - you will see your passes within the next wek. If you read the original post, it said that orders could be placed until 3:00 pm on the 24th.

If you never received confirmation of your order, then perhaps it was never placed. If your CC has not been charged and does not show a pending charge from Paramount, then I still think that you do not need to worry. DiscountOrlandoVacations has the FITS passes. You will need to call or e-mail them to get information on these passes.

Good Luck!

I placed the order with Rosa on the phone on 9/22 and I did receive a confirmation e-mail right after I got off the phone with her. I had to fax it back with my signature. I sent it back as soon as I got it .

I am pretty sure everything will be OK. I just can't wait until I have the tickets in hand. I will have to check with AMEX to see if I was charged but I may wait a day or 2 to see if I hear from Rosa.

Thanks for the help.

I also tried to get onto Paramount's website, and couldn't. I was able to order 3 FITS tickets from Discount Orlando Vacations with no problems. They were $310.00 each, and Free Shipping. What a relief!!

Can someone post or pm me the website for DiscountOrlandoVacations? I have been trying to find it and not having any luck what so ever. :(

Course it's been one of those days and nights also. LOL!!!

Thanks!!!
