It's only 30 days until my next Disney vacation and I decided to list a bunch of things (one a day) I'm doing for the first time while at Disney. Why? Because I have nothing better to do and I like seeing my post count go up. ;)

1. 2 week stay - this is the longest vacation I have ever taken and the reason I am able to do all these new things. I realized that in my previous trips to Disney I tended to hit the latest attractions and my favorites from my first trip. I never took the time to do "old things" that were "new to me".

2. Staying onsite - this will be my first stay on Disney property. Well my first stay on Florida property. My wife and I recently stayed at the Grand Californian at Disneyland. But I assume that staying on property at DLR isn't the same as staying on property at WDW.

32 days out here and can't wait! We also have a long trip planned (10 days and if the airline cooperates, we may stay 11) There are so many new things for us this trip also and this is our 10th trip.

1. First trip for F&W and MNSSHP

I love your idea!

I also love bumping up my own post count.

So here's to me joining in with all the posters that like to post encouragement WHOOOOOO!

Just sharin' the love ;-)

great idea. i don't think i can get to 30 new things but we will be doing a few new things this trip.

2 new restuarants - o'hana and via napoli
new resort - boardwalk
new tour= mickey's magical milestones

last year we did the wild life discovery excursion, the year before the family magic tour, and the year before that my ds 12 did a pirate adventure. there are so many tours etc that can add to the wdw experience.

we try to stay at a different resort so that we can say we have stayed at all them at least one night(not in my signature are 2 nights at pop, 1 night at pofq, and this year 1 night at por).

we also like to try a new place to eat but are getting close to trying all of them.

3. Old Key West - we're DVC members and our first 3 nights will be at OKW in a studio. I've never seen the resort in person but the pictures convey a very laid back and relaxed feeling. If this is only the first 3 nights of a 2 week stay, you can probably guess what #4 on my list is going to be. Hey, coming up with 30 things is hard. I have to milk it where I can.

Love the idea! We leave in 31 days. It will be my first stay at the Poly, first MNSSHP, first dinner at Boma, and first time to see Fantasmic. 2 weeks at Disney :worship::worship::worship:

My longest trip was 4 years ago, we got to go for 9 days, and still never had time just to sit by the pool. I'm hoping to have a couple of hours by the pool this trip, but I'm not holding my breath. Hey! if it happens it'll be another first. If you see 3 middle aged women with a 12 year old boy walking like we're on a mission, (Mission: to see the most we can possibly see in 6 days!:rotfl:) that will be us.

18 days out.

New things: 2 new resorts (AKL/BWI), 4 new restaurants (Jiko, Boma, Cape May, Chefs de France), and a less commando style of touring. First Halloween party, first Disney race.

Great countdown. Your first 3 are great and I think I know what #4 will be-very cool!!!

I've enjoyed both of my stays at AKL. I think our next family trip will be AKV.

Let's see we only have 6 days so this should be easy!

Trying out Via Napoli for the first time ;)

Fun idea! :goodvibes

Along the same lines, we try to find at least one new thing to do each day of our trip that we've never done before. It might be eating a new food item, trying to find a different hidden Mickey, watch a parade from a different spot, etc., ... but our favorite is trying to do something nice for at least one stranger each day ... giving away fast passes, offering to take a family photo so everbody can be in the picture, maybe paying for an extra Dole Whip so the person behind in line will have a surprise treat ... just simple things like that but it's fun to help pass along the magic.

11 Days out, many of my first are in my siggy, but want to add that this trip I will try my FIRST DOLE WHIP :upsidedow

Malaguti - I'm excited for you to try your first Dole Whip!

This is my first trip as an "adult" - have gone before in my early 20s but my parents still were paying. This is my first Disney vacation with no friends or family to accomodate (as mean as that sounds) - just me and DB! And because of that, also my first trip to built in 2 "free" days: sit by the pool, explore the resorts, go mini golfing, head to a water park if we decide to. To tell the truth, finding all the options for our "off" days has required more planning than the normal trip does. But I'm still having a blast :goodvibes

New for us this trip:
Chip & Dale's campfire
Pick a pearl at Epcot Japan
Dining at 50's PTC, 'Ohana, Tusker House Donald's Safari and Hollywood & Vine
Fantasmic
DDP
Kitchen Sink at Beaches & Cream
Chocolate Carousel at Beach Club
Tonga Toast!
Flight of Characters in DTD
Movies & Rides in World Showcase - really just about everything at WS
Lots of new rides since we haven't been there since 2005 - Soarin', TSM, Exp. Everest, Dinosaur, BTMR (never been), . . .

So excited for all the fun! Next time I think we'll have to try a different resort! :thumbsup2

4. Animal Kingdom Villas - after our 3 day stay at OKW we're moving over to a 1br savanna view at Kidani Village. This is our home resort. We're really looking forward to seeing the animals from our balcony. What other hotel is an attraction in itself?

GREAT idea!!

I think we have 70 days left...

1st time going to the world as a MARRIED couple. Will be on our honeymoon :lovestruc

What other hotel is an attraction in itself?
Every WDW resort is a mini attraction. There's something to see at all of them. But believe it or not, for kids, All Stars is a fun one. The oversized characters and toys are worth the ride over. My fav is Woody. The pool areas are also well done.

The Polynesian Resort is for us. Also, the Boardwalk and Fort Wilderness.

Fun idea!
