30 day countdown, 30 new Disney experiences

For dh and myself the big new thing is to see Disney at Christmas. I have always wanted to go during the holidays but we usually go in Jan/Feb. So for us we will be doing a lot of firsts with all the Christmas things they have to do and see. :) :) :)

we tried the fantasia mini golf as a new attraction this last trip and absolutely loved it - its located behind the swan and dolphin (5 min walk from the swan)

5. Extra Magic Hours - Being on property for the first time gives us our first opportunity to use EMH. I know some people think they are great and some think they are too crowded. We plan on hitting some AM ones and are fully prepared to add park hoppers if the crowds get too large. There's also a late night (2am) at MK that I'm looking forward to.

What a wonderful idea you had to countdown your days.

I don't think could come up with 74 new things and that is how many more days I have to go.

I love this. Myself and alot of friends are AP holders and we seem to, about twice a year have a "firsts" trip, where we all do something we'd never done before in the parks.

My next trip is for my birthday, where DB is planning a scavengar hunt for all of us, which I am super excited about!

I have 94 days, can I post 94 times? Just kidding!

1. First trip without my parents; I turned 18 this past August and this December I am going without my parents to Disney for the first time.
2. First trip with friends. A group of my friends are all going together.
3. First trip going during Christmas. I am so excited, I went once when I was around the age of three but I don't remember much of anything so I cannot wait to bring my camera and flash away.
4. Possibly my last trip before I plan on doing the DCP.
5. Only my second time staying at the Pop Century.
6. First trip I am splitting up Disney and Universal and doing them together. I am still contemplating staying at Disney instead of Universal.
7. First time driving down by myself.

I am so excited, and feel so old. But, there is no way I will be acting old down there. I am already starting to pull out all my Disney shirts and Mickey ears.

6. Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party - That one was easy enough to figure out. It's in my signature. Halloween is my favorite holiday so buying tickets for the party was a no-brainer for me. I'm looking forward to seeing the costumed characters "in costume".

/
7. Food and Wine Festival - I don't care for wine but I love food. Actually, this is one activity I'm not sure about. Some of the seminars are really expensive. I think we'll just walk around and play it by ear.

we are 28 days (i think) and it's our first honeymoon at WDW. :P

We are traveling with another couple who is going for their first time. That will be fun.

DH is doing his first Segway tour and we're playing mini-golf for the first time together in WDW.

Hmmmm...I dunno what other firsts we're doing...it's sort of our 'Best of the Best' tour for our friends. :)

8. Resort Hopping - I've never actually been to any of the WDW resorts. Well, if you count the monorail going through the Contemporary then I've been to one. I figure a 2 week vacation is a great opportunity to see some of the other resorts.

Ooooh, Poly - good place, first time or 100th time!

I was on a boring conference call today :surfweb: and actually made a list of all the things that will be "new" - I can only come up with 20 - I'm going to kekep thinking about it!

Dh and I just got from our second trip to WDW and we had a few "firsts" this trip that we didn't do last time:

- Finding Nemo: The Musical (it was AWESOME)
- Triceratops Spin
- Captain EO
- Figment ride
- Walked around the Italy Pavillion (and took pics of Via Napoli :) )
- Took the boat (instead of the bus) from Hollywood Studios to World Showcase around dusk (it was really pretty, relaxing, and romantic!)
- Peter Pan ride
- Tiki Room: Under New Management (I like the one in Disneyland MUCH better...)
- Carousel of Progress

There were many more....it was an amazing trip! :cutie:

This is an awesome thread!!! I just got back this morning and there were a lot of firsts that I did.

- split stay (first stay at the CR (BLT) and first stay at CBR)
- we didn't have plans. We woke up on our own and did whatever we felt like doing
- Dined at Via Napoli (loved all the eye candy)
- MNSSHP
- dining without a reservation (walked up to Ohana and waited the 1 1/2 standby time)
- Mini golfing at Fantasia Gardens
- Took the boat around hollywood studios, epcot, and the epcot resorts
- Saw the Mainstreet Electrical Parade
- Rode Dumbo and didn't care that I was the only 26 year old adult without a kid riding the ride.
- Rode the Barnstormer - again was the only adult and didn't care!
