My DD2 is turning 3 right in the middle of our DW vacation. Since she is 2 at check-in, she is not included on our dining plan, but I also am feeling really uncomfortable with the whole celebrating her 3rd birthday and having her listed as a 2 year old. From talking to the Disney CM at reservations, she is still allowed to eat with parents even AFTER she technically turns 3 since we are on the dining plan. I'm not sure if it will be worth it, though, if I have to explain our situation at every meal. Especially since we will be doing a couple of special character birthday meals for her after she is technically 3. Has anyone else had this same situation with their kids not being on the meal plan because they were 2 at check-in, but dining after they ARE technically 3? Did you get any odd looks or were you hassled at all by staff? I don't want anyone thinking I am trying to cheat. I am NOT going to lie about her age. I don't want to pay for her to be on the meal plan, though, if I'm not breaking any rules. She definately doesn't eat much and I would prefer just to share with her or pay out-of-pocket for something special she may want. Also, I'm confused about what to say when making dinner ressies. When I ask them to note her birthday, they ask how old she will be. If I say 3, will they then expect her to pay or to be on the dining plan? I would love any input. I'm about ready to just pay and add her to the dining plan, just not to have to deal with the hassle so we can ALL enjoy her celebration and not feel like we are somehow cheating!
