Nice......

So you're choosing to steal? What kind of example is that setting for your kids? It's people like this that ruin things for everyone else.

So you're getting mad, dana1003, because people aren't supporting your circumventing of the rules? Like someone above said: If the few dollars is what it's about, then I wouldn't be planning a trip to WDW. And if it's simply that your children won't eat enough, just don't pay for them and let them pick off your plate. They can't MAKE you order something.

I really don't understand how you're going to get around it - the server is going to note down how many adults and children are at the table and charge you for them at a buffet. The ONLY way you MAY be able to do it is by not letting your kids eat anything but then you said, "there are four adults going and that should be enough food between us"...the kids WON'T be allowed to eat unless they pay. Buffets are priced at a flat rate, regardless of whether you eat three fries or three full plates. If you don't want to abide by those rules, don't eat at that establishment.

This is not just a Disney problem..it is everywhere. This is why we must pay high prices for just about everything. Yes I know Disney is higher than most family eateries but still. If the OP isn't wanting to pay for the food because her twins won't eat OR she doesn't think that it is worth the price just for characters then she should enjoy the free interaction with the characters in the parks and have everyone share a non-buffet TS meal or even a CS meal. If I didn't want to pay over 20.00 for my kids that weren't even going to eat that is what I would do.

Except that the OP was talking about taking her 3 yo twins to a buffet and letting them pick off her plate but not paying for them.

ITA!!!

It's bad enough that the OP would actually consider doing that, but the example that she's setting for her kids is even worse!!

Her attitude towards others here pretty much tells me that she thinks that the rules don't apply to her.....:sad2: That's sad.

Well I guess if you are going to mostly CS places it doesnt matter.

We had a three year old with us in OCt and we paid for her at Princess Breakfast and Chef MIckeys even though she had maybe two bites of something. The rest of of the time, for all our meals, we did CS and let her nibble off of ours...

This is why I tell my friends to bring their kids to Disney before they turn 3. :) It's a huge money saver all around, and 2 year olds love the whole experience. We took DS 2x and DD 1x when they were 2. It's so much fun for them.

I have no idea why the OP posted, except to get validation for lying. It's funny, because I believe that a lot of people in real life will tell you not to worry about it, go ahead and say they're two, but on these boards it's a big no no. I feel the same way, it's nice to hang with like minded people.

My DD2 was charged for several meals during our recent trip because she looks older. The CM's were very willing to remove the charge once I informed them of her actual age. She will be three in a few weeks (hence the trip two weeks ago) and I will be paying for her from now on. Is this a problem - NO. Rules are rules and you either follow them or don't go. However, I do think that Disney needs a "junior" price on meals such as ages 10-17 or so. I don't think that considering a 10 year old an adult is very fair. But again, Disney made the rules and I must follow them. Like a pp said, it is people like this that ruin it for everyone else. :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

My DS is a very picky eater. He has PDD and sometimes wants to eat the same thing for weeks and won't eat anything else, and he eats very little. But if we were paying for dining in August, we would have to pay as if he were an adult, even if there is very little on the menu that he will want or eat. Do I think it's fair? No. But it's Disney's rule so it's what we have to do. I'm just glad we got it for free.

Disney charges way too much money for kids are 3-9. My four year old never eats anything. I'll say she is three as long as i can. People need to do what they feel is right.

I see she wants to do the: Lie, Cheat and Steal your way to a wonderful Walt Disney World vacation. :headache:

We were at H&V when DD was 3 :bride: and she was very ill, and did not feel like eating. :headache: She slept most of the meal, and we all ate. We did not realize how sick she was :guilty: at the time, just thought she was over tired, and she did not eat or drink anything. Even though I had fixed her a plate the server offered to remove her from the bill, but we told her no, because we had used up the plate of food, and had taken up space at the table. It was the right thing to do - and we could not see doing it any other way.

I was not happy about paying for DDP for my now 3 year old princess princess: last week at WDW, but I am so glad we did. She enjoyed her food so much - having her own plate made her feel special and she ate more than I thought she would. :woohoo: We also had to stay at the Moderate resort because she is 3 now, and AllStars don't allow more than 4 plus a baby in a crib. :sad1: Rachel is so small, and she still sleeps in a crib, but we follow the rules anyway. We would not have it any other way. I used to wonder how we would ever afford all 3 princesses :cheer2: :bride: princess: at Disney, but we do, and we all love each and every trip. Plus, we have a clear conscience when we leave. :dance3: :yay:

The disney moral police ride again............................

Whatever:rolleyes: I don't give a crap if you lie about your child's age, just don't come here for validation. Seriously, if you are that hard up for money, stay at home.

The disney moral police ride again............................

I don't think the "Disney morality police" needs to even respond to this one. This is obviously a case of the OP knowing that it is wrong and looking to stir the pot on a heated issue. What kind of response was she expecting? "Oh, I think is is great that you are cheating the system. Have a magical time!" :confused3

I think most of us are mature enough to realize that she will not get these kind of responses.

I don't need your validation............... Just want to help other people out on these boards. If you don't like what I have to say I guess its too bad.

No, you would have to say that she is 2. Yeah, I'm sure lots of 4 year olds look like 2 year olds. Give me a break. If Disney charges too much for your liking, then stick with your local state fair and have fun eating fried dough and riding the Pirate Ship instead :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

I think most of us are smart enough to take our kids when they are 2 years and 11 months old, rather than just turning 3 years old ;)

My soon to be five year old has gone on 7 trips. Cast members don't even question my child on his age at the hotel, parks, or at the character meals. I'll be going in Disney in August and I'll skip my state fair thank-you.
