3 year old....old for enough for kid's club or Flounder's?

I *think* 3 is old enough for the kid's club, right? Also, what type of activities do they usually have planned for 3 year olds? Did your child have fun?

I know I can probably find these answers on websites, but I like asking ya'll. Lotsa good answers on here

As long as he/she is fully potty trained they will let the child in. I think you know your child best as to whether they will enjoy the club. My kids loved stuff like that by age 3.

Three AND completely potty trained.

They had a sail away party. Snow White came and danced with them. They did some simple crafts. They played. The events are called things like "Nemo's Coral Reef Adventures" and "All About Animals." Every night from 9:00 til close they played movies while the kids crashed on mats. The do feed them lunch and dinner if they are checked in during those times (they usually take them up to the buffet where they seem to preload trays for them with "kid food" like chicken fingers and mac n cheese).

If they are potty trained then they are old enough at 3 for the clubs....at 3 I think the child would be bored in Flounders as there is not a lot geared for the 2 1/2-3 year olds there.

The key to the club is that the child needs to be able to handle ALL bathroom needs. That means without help from counsellors. It is more than "can tell them when he/she needs to go." However, the way to mitigate this is for you to go to the club every 90 minutes or so, just to check in. Take your child to the bathroom while you are there.

Many kids are "potty trained" to the point that they can tell you when they need to go, but may still need help with clothing, wiping, etc. These are the things that the counsellors specifically are not to do. It's an unfortunate reflection of our society, but bottom line is that they cannot go into the restroom with the child. In the event of an accident, they will help the child clean up and page you. The easiest way around the whole issue is to show up yourself periodically and take the child while you are there.

The activities there are really great! Most little ones love it.

Thanks so much guys! Maddy turned 3 on this past Friday, and she is completely potty trained. She LOVES anything Disney (especially the Princesses)! I'm hoping she's going to have a blast on this vacation

I remember when my DD got potty trained I had to get her lots of elastic waist pants so she could do the whole bathroom thing on her own so that is a good tip- don't send your toddler to the club in overalls or other high maintenance clothing.

We've had three year old girls at our dinner table on two different occasions, and both of them went to the children's clubs and had a great time. On our last cruise, there was some type of character party set on the first evening. We were dining in Animators Palate, but she didn't even stay for the show because she was so excited about the party. Her dad finally took her, and on the way they met Lilo, who I think was heading for the club. So she got to go in hand-in-hand with Lilo. I think that was a highlight of her cruise!
