Was wondering if anyone has taken their own party supplies onboard for a birthday. How big is the cake you get at dinner? Can you order one for your room (even at an additional charge?) We want to have a little party in our roon on DD's birthday.

We are off to buy NEMO today!!!!:Pinkbounc

Don't know if you have a Circuit City by you, but I saw an ad that they were having Nemo for $14.99. Everywhere else I saw it was going to be $19.99.

Finding my way to a Circuit City today!

HTH!

sorry, can't help with the birthday party info. ;)

For the DVD? Great price.

We got ours for $19.99 with a free Nemo plush doll at Toys R Us. Think you get a free Nemo lithograph at the Disney store with it.

We have only watched it 2 times today so far and had seen it in the theaters 5 times!!! Love Disney Pixar movies.

I brought party supplies for my DD's 3rd birthday (hats & blowers primarily). The cake is small. We had 4 people in our "party" & it was big enough, but not a "real" bithday cake (but what does a young 3 year old know). Don't know about ordering another cake. Call DCL and ask them. Latex balloons are a hazard (inhalation and allergy), so I would stay away from those. Mylar balloons are safer, but I don't know if you can get them on the ship (maybe Shirley at Perfect gift sould send some? too hard to pack!)

I was thinking of doing same thing...But, decided to shower him with gifts instead. We live in Orlando, so pretty easy to buy Disney Souveneirs at lesser prices.

I have purchased everything from a CD, stickers, workbook, Disney Mr. Potato Head, stuffed Goofy and Pongo, a Disney Outfit, Pin starter set (and xtra LE ones), etc. etc. and will sneak into cabin room, which will be decorated, before hubby and son come in- and create a basket full of these things as a birthday gift.

Then, we will celebrate at our table with the smaller cake at dining room...By the way, I found at party supply store a Disney candle with his yr. # "5", and a button which says- "I am the B-day boy" for him to wear. I think he will enjoy the plethora of gifts a lot more...and I don't have to worry about a party that might be difficult considering there is SO MANY kids on board...How many whistles would I have to bring "50"??. Less headaches and more memorable, in my opinion...

I can't wait until we see his face and sees the cabin FULL of gifts and decorated with all the Disney grandeur...

None the less, have a wonderful and magical time- whatever you decide...That's what is all about, right???

PS- My parents (Grandparents to Nicholas) who live here locally will be waving at shore by Jetty Park with a HUGE sign that says HAPPY BIRTHDAY. We shall see it as we sail by. Anyone else celebrating on our sailing, take advantage and have camera ready- you can always say it was for you...Innocent enough, right??  :wizard:

DS will be celebrating along with our DIS tablemate's DS on our cruise. We have arranged for their cakes to be brought at the same dinner and are bringing party hats & horns with us to celebrate. The rest of us will just enjoy our desert while the boys feast on their cakes. :)

We just celebrated our little 3 year olds birthday on the wonder and it was great. I think you could get an extra cake if you ask and I would not recommend trying to take one on board. Disney offers 3 gifts for bdays in their gift section and we mostly enjoyed the stateroom decorations and the memory box. If I had it to do over I would have left off the pluto basket. I recommend a really formal picture with mickey or minnie. We bought our son a tux off e-bay for his birthday picture. We also bought our little girl a dress I will try and get more info to you on the dresses.
