3 WDW Trips in 6 months: August, October and December Reports *Completed*

Great start to your birthday trip. As for the buses, we stayed at AS Movies a few years ago and all 3 resorts did share a bus. I remember one morning we had to wait for a second bus because the first one was already full. Maybe they got smart and changed things.

I think the next value I want to try is All Star Movies. I'd love to see the lobby with all the Oscar pictures. Very neat.

You must have gotten an early start to arrive at 7am! :scared1: Disney is worth it though. :rotfl:

Hey LL!

All Star Movies reall was neat. The only value I've ever been to was Pop, so it was fun to try something different.

And yes, we got up long before the sun to be able to get there by 7am. It did pay off though. :thumbsup2

I just thought "are you blind??!!" I think people don't really look, they just see 2 babies and blurt something out, still it gives us something to look back on and laugh about. ;)

Great photos - I love Herbie! I used to have a Beetle years ago called "Bertie" - I loved that car. :cloud9:

You must have been up really early - no lie in on your birthday? Still, being at MK makes up for that!

Di x

Hi Di!

Bertie the Beetle... I like it.

Yes, we really did get up early on our bithday. Wouldn't you know it I think our birthday was the earliest we've gotten up all year. Seems so strange...

Thanks Sarah. It really did look like as far as MK goes, each All Star had its own bus. We never went by any of the others to drop off or pick up people and at the park, each All Star had its own depot/ queue for their bus. Don't know if it's permanent or if it's like this at any of the other parks, but is worked out great for us.

It’s going to be a French Quarter Christmas! :santa:

powalkback5-600.jpg

I’m extremely happy to report that we finally have made reservations for our December trip, and we’re going back to Port Orleans, this time in the French Quarter! I really didn’t think that we’d be able to get rooms there on relatively such a short notice, but I’m thrilled that we did. This will actually be the first time we’ve ever stayed at Port Orleans during December. We have visited French Quarter at least once to see the decorations and have breakfast, but that’s about it. We may just have to head back to Riverside for a visit while we’re there since we’ve never even seen it at Christmastime. Something to think about. We have reservations for 3 nights which is longer than our usual Christmas trip to make up for the summer trip being a tad shorter this year. Like August, this is going to be a trip with the whole family, so Mom, Dad, Buzz and I will all be along for the ride.

Now that we know where we’re staying, it’s time to start figuring out what we want to do and what ADRs to make. We have two days worth of tickets left from August, and I know we definitely want to do a day at Hollywood Studios since we didn’t get there in August or October. I’m still torn between Magic Kingdom and EPCOT for the second park. On one hand, we haven’t been to EPCOT at Christmastime in years and I would love to be able to see the Candlelight Processional, Holiday Storytellers, Lights of Winter, etc. again. We also just went to Magic Kingdom at Christmas last year and Buzz and I just were there for our birthday, so EPCOT would be something different. On the other hand though, Magic Kingdom has The Princess and the Frog characters and Riverboat show, and it seems that the show, at least, will only be there through the beginning of January. Decisions, decisions!

As far as ADRs, the only one we’re really thinking about so far was maybe The Wave at the Contemporary. We’re looking to have dinner at one of the resorts along the monorail line the first night so we could maybe resort hop in the evening and check out the decorations at especially the Contemporary and Polynesian since we haven’t been to either of them in a long time. If it turns out we can’t get into The Wave, I’m thinking Kona Café as a possible backup plan. As far as the other meals, it’s going to depend on which parks we go to, so we need to nail those down very soon.

That’s about it for December right now. I’ll be interrupting the October report periodically for more updates as we plan this trip out. We’ve only got less than two months, so I guess we’d better plan fast!

Oooh! I am very excited that you will be staying at French Quarter for your Christmas trip.

Tough decision on the parks. I think you'd regret not at least trying to see Tiana while you are there because who knows how long she'll really be out and about in the parks. :confused3 I know you already have tickets but is there any chance you could add a park hopper even to just your ticket so you can pop into MK?

I figured that you would be. Hopefully I'll be able to get some more photos of the French Quarter posted for you to see before you go unless I really fall behind on the October report.

I'm really thinking that Tiana is going to be a part of the Princess line that she'll be around for a while reguardless (or so I hope). It's the Riverboat show and Prince Naveen that I'm not so confident will stick around for long after the initial release. I was thinking about the Park Hopping option too, but I don't know if the rest of the family would go the idea.

We made it to Magic Kingdom a little before 8:30am and breezed through security and went straight to the ticket window to redeem our tickets. There wasn’t any line so we were directed straight to the ticket window. In no time, we had gotten everything processed and were handed our snazzy free birthday passes:

birthdayticket-600.jpg

We were both a little surprised that they were plastic tickets more like the room keys as opposed to paper ones. It turned out to be a nice (free!) little souvenir of the day.

mkentrance1-600.jpg

We had managed to make it to the park and through the turnstiles with plenty of time to spare, so we took the time to check out all of the Halloween decorations out front. We hadn’t been to Disney in the fall since we were in kindergarten, and back them they didn’t go all out decorated because there weren’t any Not-So-Scary Halloween Parties to decorate for. It was cool finally being able to see the Magic Kingdom all dressed up for the season.

If you look closely, you can see a lizard climbing on the bottom pumpkin near it’s right eyebrow.

mkw1-600.jpg

After a little while, the Mayor of Main Street came out to begin the Magic Kingdom Welcome show.

mkw2-600.jpg

The Welcome show has got to be one of the cheesiest things at Disney, but I really like it. It’s such a fun way to start the day.

mkw3-600.jpg

“Good mornin’! Good mornin’ to you!” I love that they use a song from one of my favorite movies in the show, and a non-Disney one at that! Anybody else know what the song is from?

mkw4-600.jpg

The train pulls into Toontown with all the characters on board.

mkw5-600.jpg

mkw6-600v2.jpg

Mickey makes a little speech…

mkw7-600.jpg

And the Magic Kingdom is open!

tsentrance1-600.jpg

On Main Street, we quickly take a look at some more of the Halloween decorations in Town Square before making our way toward Cinderella Castle.

Next chapter: My favorite Magic Kingdom attraction and some character fun.

I really want to know what movie that song is from. I know I knew the answer at somepoint but I can't remember at the moment.

I think pictures of Magic Kingdom in the fall are even more vibrant with all the fall decorations. They are just so pretty to look at!

Since no one else has tried to guess guessed it, I'll just give the answer. The "Good Mornin'" song is most famouly from Singin' in the Rain performed by Gene Kelly, Debbie Reynolds and Donald O'Connor (great movie and great sequence). It was originally from the film Babes in Arms performed by Judy Garland, who also originated "The Trolley Song" which is used in the Main Street Trolley parade later in the morning, and Mickey Rooney. The version they use in the Welcome show is closer to the Singin' in the Rain version. Just an interesting bit of trivia.

Magic Kingdom really did look great all dressed up for fall. Glad you're enjoying the pictures.

Oh wow, I never knew the Good Mornin' song was from SITR. The only other place I've heard it is in some commercial.

Yep, it is indeed. If you haven't seen Singin' in the Rain or at least haven't seen it lately, I'd recommend giving it a look, especially if you like musicals. It's one of the best one film. :thumbsup2

As the strains of “Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah” filled the air to signal that the lands of the Magic Kingdom were opening, Buzz and I reached The Hub. We had planned to start the day in Fantasyland riding my favorite attraction in the park- Peter Pan’s Flight. On the way to Cinderella Castle, we got distracted by some of the Halloween statues in the Hub, so, of course, she stopped to get some pictures.

hubstatues1-600.jpg

hubstatues2-600.jpg

hubstatues3-600.jpg

Buzz wanted to stay longer to take pictures before heading to Peter Pan, so I decided to head into Fantasyland and see if I could find any characters while I waited for him.

castle1-600.jpg

What better way is there to start a day at the Magic Kingdom than walking through Cinderella Castle? And I know that you can tell from the pictures, but the weather was gorgeous that day! It was so nice to see a bright, beautiful blue sky behind the Castle since the last few times we’ve been to Magic Kingdom have all been fairly overcast or gray.

castlemosaic-600.jpg

Once in Fantasyland, I spotted the Fairy Godmother. I rarely see her out for meet-and-greets and was hoping I would be able to find her on this trip.

fairygodmother1-600.jpg

She didn’t have much of a line either, so I went to say “hi” and get a few photos.

fairygodmother2-600.jpg

Next, I decided to check the area around Fairytale Garden to see if Cinderella’s stepfamily, the Tremaines, was out yet. The Tremaines are some of my new favorite characters to see in the parks. If you haven’t seen them yet, I highly recommend that you do. They’re really a lot of fun. You may remember if you read my Pre-Trip that I had been trying to convince Buzz that we should get an ADR at 1900 Park Fare, where they also appear, for our birthday dinner, but he quickly nixed that idea. Spending his birthday with Cinderella and her family just didn't sound like fun to him. Since Park Fare didn't work out, I figured I could at least go see the stepfamily in Fantasyland while we were there.

castle2-600.jpg

The Tremaines didn't appear to be out yet, so I took the opportunity to try getting a photo of the Castle from this angle, which was a shot that I had been meaning to take for a while and just never seem to remember once I get to the parks.

cinderellawishingwell-600.jpg

As I’m taking pictures of the Wishing Well, I hear some rather loud voices coming up the path, and who should it be but the Tremaines themselves- Anastasia, Drizella and their mother. They were out taking a walk this morning in the efforts of finding the sisters suitable husbands. I wish I’d gotten some photos of them by the well, but I was in the moment and didn’t think of it. They began talking about it, and Anastasia pointed out Lucifer at the well’s base and told me he always has the shiftiest eyes, to which I agreed.

stepfamily1-600v2.jpg

I ended up hanging out with the Tremaines for a little while as they strolled along the path from the Castle to Tomorrowland, and the trio was curious as to why I was in the Kingdom by myself on my birthday. They got excited when I told them I actually had a twin brother here too, but lost interest after I told them we was off taking pictures of the Castle that belonged to their not-so-beloved ex-maid. We chatted for a bit about birthdays and Lady Tremaine wanted to know if it was Buzz’s birthday too or if one of us was born at 11:59pm and the other after midnight.

stepfamily2-600.jpg

It was pretty fun just hanging around the characters like that outside of a formal stand-in-line-get-an-autograph-and-photo deal, especially with Tremaines since they’re always such a hoot. It's really something That sort of thing is really something I don’t see a lot of at Disney World. After a while, another family came along who wanted autographs, so the Tremaines decided to take a break from the husband search to do a meet-and-greet.

stepfamily3-600v2.jpg

I suggested that I could take some family photos of them to send out to the eligible men in the Kingdom, and they seemed to like that idea.

stepfamily4-600.jpg

stepfamily5-600v2.jpg

Before I left, Lady Tremaine wanted to make sure that I had given my mother a present for my birthday since she’s the one who did all the work. I told her that is sounded like very good idea and that I’ll have to remember that. By now, Buzz was done taking pictures and the two of us headed on.

peterpansflight-600.jpg

I was really afraid that by now, the line for Peter Pan would already be pretty long, but in what would be the first sign that October crowds are definitely smaller than summer of holiday crowds, it only had a 5 minute wait (if even that). I don’t think that I’ve ever waited in such a short line for this ride! Of course, the ride itself was wonderful. Honestly, Peter Pan is not my favorite Disney movie out there, but I really love the ride. The moonlight flight over London and that beautiful arrangement of “You Can Fly” that plays in the background just makes the ride so beautiful and relaxing. :cloud9: There was a moment or two when I was so relaxed that I forgot to pay attention and missed a little tableau or two in Neverland as we passed, but it was still fantastic. What a wonderful way to start the morning!

After the ride, Buzz and I tried to figure out what to do next. I was thinking about riding Snow White’s Scary Adventures and then heading off to be at Toontown by 9:30am in preparation for rope drop. Buzz wasn’t really interested in any of that, so we decided to go ahead and slit up now and meet up again once I was done in Toontown. Buzz ended up doing a couple of his Fantasyland favorites- The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and the Mad Tea Party- and spending some time taking pictures around Fantasyland before heading to Tomorrowland.

gus-600-1.jpg

Another of my favorites- Gus the mouse.

On my way to Snow White, it looked like the line was a bit longer than I had hoped for, so I decided to skip it for now. As I was trying to figure out what to do, I noticed a CM in front of Ariel’s Grotto. It turns out that Ariel was already doing meet-and-greets already even though the Times Guide had said she wouldn’t be arriving for another 40 minutes. The Little Mermaid is actually one of my favorite Disney films (you’re seeing this chapter’s recurring theme by now, right?), and I rarely ever see Ariel, so I decided to get in line.

arielsgrotto2-600.jpg

Along the way, I got a few pictures of the area. Ariel’s Grotto as we know it is supposedly going to be one of the first casualties of the new Fantasyland redesign, so I wanted to get a few last photos of the place. The old Grotto was pretty nice, but I’m really looking forward to the new Little Mermaid ride and Beauty and the Beast restaurant they’re going to put here eventually.

arielsgrotto1-600.jpg

The line wasn’t too bad. There were only two or three families ahead of me, so I only waited another 5 minutes or so here too.

arielsgrotto3-600.jpg

ariel-600.jpg

The photo of Ariel is a little lighter and softer than I would have liked (I’m still learning all the new setting to my new camera), but it didn’t turn out too bad and it was fun getting to see Ariel again. She made sure to tell me to have fun on my legs today. As I’m leaving the Grotto, I notice that it’s almost 9:30, so I headed towards Toontown to wait for rope drop.

Next chapter: My first trip to Pixie Hollow and Buzz conquers Space Ranger Spin

Hi Meeko!

I know the answer, but too late. :headache: I love SITR! I didn't realise you hadn't been to WDW at Halloween, it's lovely with all the decorations.

good to know October is quietish, and the weather is nice so hopefully we'll be lucky next year.

The Tremaines are great fun, dinner at 1900 PF is a definate for us next year!

Congrats on booking POFQ!!! It's a beautiful resort, and will look lovely at Christmas. As for MK or Epcot, it's a tough choice - they will both be lovely and have lots to see. You do have a couple of months yet to decide - no pressure yet!

Hey Di!

Nice to know there's another Singin' in the Rain fan here. :thumbsup2

1900 Park Faire looks like so much fun with the Tremaines. I would love to go, but I just can't see it happening with Buzz, Mom and Sam unless we went back and did breakfast with Mary Poppins and friends again. Maybe someday...

Thanks for the congratulations! I'm really looking forward to staying at French Quarter again. It's been far too long since last time (5 years? something like that). As far as choosing the theme parks, I wish we had a couple of months to decide. We're working on ARDs now and there is a bit of pressure to pick. I think we're very close to a decission- if we haven't made it already.

In my mind I hear Judy Garland singing the Good Morning song so that is probably where I've heard it before.

Great update, love all the characters! I love the pictures of Ariel's grotto, you don't see many of those on the boards. :thumbsup2

You don't really see a lot of pictures of Ariel's Grotto here, do you? I never noticed that. Maybe most people skip it because it usually has such long lines or the picture with Ariel is the only one that gets taken.

More characters are on the way for you. I'm hoping to get the Pixie Hollow update finished and posted tomorrow. :tink:

toontownrope1-600.jpg

By the time I got to the rope at Toontown, there was already a full row of people waiting. I wondered how many of them were Disers. They all seemed pretty savvy on their Disney planning. I didn’t see any lime green (do Disers still wear lime green?) and didn’t ask anybody, but there must have been some in there somewhere.

toontownrope2-600.jpg

To pass the time before rope drop, I took some photos from my spot in line.

toontownrope5-600.jpg

There wasn’t a whole lot directly in front of me, so I ended up just taking a bunch of pictures of the “Welcome to Mickey’s Toontown Fair” sign. I’m sure this will be a thing of the past in the next few years too.

toontownrope6-600.jpg

toontownrope7-600.jpg

Since this waiting isn’t the most interesting thing to write or read about, let’s jump to Tomorrowland where Buzz was going to ride another of his (and my) favorites in the Magic Kingdom, Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin. We were planning on doing it together later on, but Buzz figured that this was a ride he wouldn’t mind doing multiple times in one day. The line was pretty much a walk-on so Buzz rode twice. On his second time through he managed to find some secret target fairly early on into the ride worth a ton of points, causing him to reach the max score of 999,999 and the rank of Galactic Hero before even leaving the first room! None of us have ever managed to get the max score here before (I usually have a hard time ever making it past Space Scout). Needless to say, Buzz was thrilled with this. After lingering in Tomorrowland a little, Buzz headed off to Toontown, hoping to get in a ride on the Barnstormer next.

About the time that Buzz was getting the high score, it was just about time for the big rope drop. A few CMs came out with some announcements on how we’re all supposed to walk to our destination with no running, pushing, darting in front of people, etc. Once the rope was dropped, everyone was walked to either the Hall of Fame or Mickey’s House (the Barnstormer was down on technical difficulties this morning, unbeknownst to Buzz). As I’m walking to the Hall of Fame, I notice Mickey hanging out on his front porch. I knew that would have been a fantastic picture, but I had to keep moving. Breaking from the crowd at this point would have ensured a much longer wait at Pixie Hollow, and this morning, that was my main goal. All in all, the rope drop hoopla wasn’t as bad as I’d heard people say with people pushing children out of the way and strollers being used as weapons and such, but it was still pretty hectic, and a few parents were getting awfully close to breaking that “no running” rule. Can't imagine what it's like on a busier day!

pixiehollow1-600.jpg

Once inside everyone separated out into two lines- the fast-moving Princess line and the slower-moving Fairies one, much to the annoyance of most parents standing around me in the Fairies line. From the moment I got in line to the point where I was brought into the shrinking hallway, I wanted a little less than 20 minutes, which isn’t bad at all from what I’ve heard, and then another 10 by the time I got to the first fairy. Counting the 15 minutes before rope drop, it was a 45 minute wait exactly.

pixiehollow2-600.jpg

The shrinking hallway turned out to be the only somewhat disappointing thing about the Pixie Hollow experience. I had heard how the CMs walk the groups down the hallway, explaining how we’re shrinking and such. Well, as soon as the rope droped, the family in front of me started running down to the next rope with the family behind me about to do the same before the CM could even get all the parties into the hallway, causing me to have to run between them. Not very "magical". The CM did come back and explain what just happened and why we were fairy-sized now and also handed out free gifts to everyone- little red coin purses with Tinker Bell and Terence’s picture on them promoting the new Tinker Bell DVD. A cute little souvenir, but I couldn’t help thinking “What am I going to do with this?” It’s sitting in a drawer somewhere. If anyone really wants to see a photo of it, I can pull it out and post one of it.

pixiehollow3-600.jpg

The theming was pretty cute in the waiting area, complete with giant bugs and snails.

pixiehollow4-600.jpg

When it was my turn to enter Pixie Hollow, they first had me stop and wait with a CM until the first fairy was ready for me. She asked if I was familiar with the fairies, to which I responded that I had seen the films. I guess they figure that not everyone has seen the movies and make sure that the CMs can fill in everybody on who the characters are. I'm glad I did go ahead and see it before the trip or I would have been extremly lost. In a couple of minutes, it was my turn to meet the Fairies.

pixiehollow5-600.jpg

The first one I met was Terence, the pixie dust keeper. The CM I was waiting with told me that Terence had just started taking breaks from his dust duties to visit Pixie Hollow a few days earlier and everybody seemed excited about it. He came over and invited me to fly, which I guess actually means “run”, back to his spot. Terence spotted my birthday button and wished me a “Happy Arrival Day” (of course, in Pixie Hollow, fairies aren’t born, but come into existence after the first laugh of a baby and then arrive in Neverland) and asked if I had found out what my talent is yet. I hadn’t, but he seemed to think I could be a dust keeper too.

pixiehollow6-600.jpg

I think having Terence around really was a nice addition and kept the whole Pixie Hollow experience from being too girly. The Princesses should follow suit and add a Prince or two to their rotation to add some variety in.

pixiehollow7-600.jpg

terenceauto-600.jpg

Terence’s autograph, complete with his bag of Pixie Dust hanging from “C”.

pixiehollow-12.jpg

Next was Tinker Bell herself. :tinker: Tink was a little surprised that I knew her name and what a great tinker fairy she was before she introduced herself and asked how I knew who she was. I decided that “I’ve seen your movie” wasn’t really a fun explanation, so I played along and said that Terence had told me about her. She seemed to like that. Tink was very chatty (it’s so weird to say that after so many years of never hearing her speak other than the bell noises from Peter Pan) and telling me about life in Pixie Hollow and wishing me a happy “Arrival Day”.

pixiehollow8-600.jpg

Somehow I never imagined that Tink would ever be a character that would come out for meet-and-greets after so many years of her only appearing in the Magic Kingdom fireworks and the occasional parade, so it was a somewhat strange, but also neat, experience to get to meet her.

pixiehollow9-600.jpg

tinkerbelauto-600.jpg

The Fairies really had an assembly line going when it came to the autograph books. While I was still getting pictures with Terence, Tink came over and got the signing out of the way before I even got to her.

pixiehollow10-600.jpg

The last fairy was Fawn. Honestly, out of all the Fairies in the movie, I thought Fawn was the least interesting so I was a little disappointed that she was the there, but she turned out to be pretty cool. She wanted to know if I had pumpkin muffins and acorn tea for my arrival day yet and had to tell her I hadn’t (though pumpkin muffins do sound delicious; I wonder where one finds them). She said that she would offer me some, but the squirrels already came and ate all hers. She chatted for a while about her animal talents. Did you know the animal talent fairies paint all the stripes on zebras differently “so they can tell each other apart” and then fly them to the mainland?

pixiehollow11-600.jpg

fawnauto-600.jpg

Fawn’s autograph.

Once Fawn and I had said our goodbyes, she told me to follow the first star on the right to be able to get back to the mainland. I have to admit, Pixie Hollow was really cool. It was a lot more immersive and interactive than almost any other character meet-and-greet I can think of, and the Fairies were seemed really into it and good at improvising. It really makes the Princess location pale in comparison. Hopefully, the Princess locations in the new Fantasyland will be more of this caliber. Plus, it was great to be able to meet some new characters since I hadn’t on my last few trips. All in all, a lot of fun. Oh, and just as an aside, when I got out around 10:20am, the Fairies line was already over an hour! Glad I got there early.

toontownwhistle-600.jpg

I debated getting in line for the Princesses next since the sign above the queue listed the characters for today as “Mystery Guests”, but I ended up passing on it since I wasn’t interested in jumping right back into the Hall of Fame line again and was feeling like exploring other parts of the park. I tried to get a hold of Buzz, but he wasn’t answering his phone, so I decided to head to Fantasyland to see if I could find a certain White Rabbit.

Next chapter: Exploring Fantasyland

Happy Arrival Day! I love that. :rotfl2:

I agree with you, they should add a Prince into the rotation with the Princesses. Something for everyone. :thumbsup2

I'm glad you enjoyed your Fairy meet & greets. I think Terence is a wonderful addition. :thumbsup2 You captured some great pictures of all three. :wizard:

Thanks LL. Pixie Hollow was a lot of fun. I'm gald the wait was worth it.

Glad to know you're with me on the Princes. If only Disney agreed with us.

On my way back to Fantasyland, I tried calling Buzz again. Turns out he was still in Toontown. He didn’t get a chance to ride the Barnstormer because it was down, but he did manage to see Mickey and Minnie’s Houses and was in the process of waiting to meet Mickey. I told him that was on my way to Fantasyland and asked him to call me when he was ready to move on.

fantasylandwalk1-600.jpg

Back in Fantasyland, I checked around the Mad Tea Party to see if I could find any characters, but didn’t have any luck. I had to make a decision: 1) go back to Toontown and see the Princesses or 2) stay in Fantasyland. My lack of enthusiasm about waiting at the Hall of Fame again and the fact that I was a little too embarrassed to walk past the string of CMs between Pixie Hallow and the Mad Tea Patry who had just wished “happy birthday” moments ago again so soon. No matter, I had been hoping to have some time to walk a photo walk through Fantasyland before too many construction walls went up anyway, so I figured I’d just do some exploring until Buzz and/ or any of the Wonderland characters showed up.

You just can’t escape that Castle! Don’t get me wrong, I’m excited that the Winnie the Pooh façade is getting a make-over to make it look more like the 100 Acre Woods, but I’m going to miss this view of the Castle over its current form complete with turrets and flags.

I’d been hoping to get this photo for a long time. Did I mention how happy I was that there was plenty of blue sky today? :goodvibes

Pinocchio’s- looking very empty before the lunch rush.

Last time we were here, this shop had just reopened and the sign only said “Fairy Treasures” and had no Tink figure flying above it, which looked pretty bland. It looks better now, though I miss the way it use to be with Tinker Bell flying around the store more and being able to see her sitting in the dresser drawer through the key hole.

Cinderella- the crowed princess (even if the crown is a little off-center on her head… oops).

Sir Mickey’s, I think, is one of my favorite stores in all of Disney World. It’s not because of the beach towels or Mickey ears of whatever it is they sell here, but the theming is so great. Willie the Giant peeking into the shop is such a great touch.

Princess Minnie. I chatted with a CM here for a little bit before heading on.

The line at Snow White’s Scary Adventures was now a walk-on (maybe the line here dwindles down after Toontown opens?) so I decided to ride it. Nobody else out of the 4 of us really likes this ride a whole lot, but I think it’s fun.

swsa2-600.jpg

Since I had my new camera, I tried to take a few photos on the ride to try out some of my new settings. This was the only one that came out very well.

swsa3-600.jpg

Just for grins and giggles, here’s one of my not-so-great photos from the ride just because I thought it came out somewhat interesting looking. :rotfl: I enjoyed my ride anyway.

A few more pictures outside the ride.

After the ride, I continued back towards the Mad Tea Party. Didn’t end up getting many photos on this stretch since most of the buildings were already walled off and being refurbished. When I got back to the Tea Party Alice and the White Rabbit were out. It had been a couple of years since I’d last met Alice l and was hoping to find her on this trip, but I was really happy to see the White Rabbit. It’s been years since I’ve seen him out and had never gotten his autograph, so I jumped in line.

While I was in line, Buzz called and met up with me. Of course, he had to tell me about his max score on Space Ranger Spin. For a moment I thought he was joking, but quickly realized how serious (and excited) he was. He also told me that he got to see Mickey and Minnie at Toontown and how Minnie gave him a birthday kiss. Can you believe that Minnie kisses other guys right in front of her boyfriend like that? :scared1: Anyway, Buzz disappeared somewhere (probably taking pictures in Fantasyland or something) once it was getting close to my turn in the characters line.

I asked the White Rabbit if he would sign my autograph book, but told Alice that she could sign again if he would like to, but that she already had. While the Rabbit signed away, I got a photo of Alice by herself.

A few of the White Rabbit.

The elusive (well, for me, at least) White Rabbit autograph.

And a photo of the two of them with the White Rabbit taking Alice’s arm “like a gentleman”. It was nice to see the White Rabbit out. I kind of miss the Mad Hatter who use to greet here with Alice, but he apparently is tied up doing the Move It! Shake It! Celebrate It! Parade instead. The White Rabbit was a good substitute, though certainly not as uproarious as the Hatter, and it was nice to see him out again.

Next chapter: Time to Celebrate!

That is one beautiful blue sky for sure!

Love the photo tour of Fantasyland.

So glad you were able to meet the White Rabbit. He looks awful cute! I am a sucker for anything that is a bunny/rabbit.
