3 Top Must Do Things at WDW

The Candlelight Processional is one of my very favorite things.

You said no rides, but I have to say the TOWER OF TERROR:cool1: :yay: :woohoo: :rotfl: :goodvibes

I really love One Man's Dream. It brings tears to my eyes thnking of Walt Disney. He is truly my "hero". I wish he could have lived to see Walt Disney World!

Our top three would be:

1: Eating at Crystal Palace with Pooh Bear and Friends
2: Typhoon Lagoon was so fun and I loved snorkeling with the fish/sharks
3: All of the fireworks shows

Disney here we come!!!!!!!!!!! :cool1:

Let's see, I would say...
1. Jungle Parade @ AK
2. If you've never had them, the sweet potato pancakes at the POR resort for breakfast. (the restaurant has a name, but I'd have to go look it up.)
3. Fantasmic

Festival of Lion King (best show at WDW, IMHO)
Beauty & the Beast
Lights, Motors, Action Stunt show

I vote for Candlelight Processional, too! It's also fun to look at the decorations at the different resorts.

Costs money:
-Rent the SeaRacer "speed boats" at DTD or one of the resorts, or one large boat for the whole family to ride in together.
-Get your DD's all pretty at the BBB at DTD or MK, it'll be a special treat for them.
-Do a fireworks cruise for the whole family

Free/Cheap:
-Wake up Tink
-Ride in the front of the monorail, a family of 4 can do that.
-Make masks in the World Showcase in Epcot. Your DDs will love it!

Tour the Deluxe Hotels to see the Christmas Decorations.
Monorail at night. Make sure to ride it to Epcot, it rides through the park.
All the firework show, they are very different at each park and parades.

Make sure you don't miss the Osbourne Spec of Lights at MGM. It is free and absolutely beautiful. It will be at night for about 2 hours.

1. Fantasmic - the best night show
2. Charater Meal - Chrystal Palace is a lot of fun
3. Downtown Disney- We missed it last time and I hate that we did.

1. Festivial of the Lion King... at AK
2. Beauty and the Beast at DS
2. Mickey's Philarmagic at MK
3. Fantasmic Show
4. Illuminations
5. Wishes
I hope you enjoy them.

I am a passholder and live 40 minutes away... so my top 3 are the little things.

1. Get to the park early (15 minutes before it opens) and watch the opening ceremony... It is special and different in each park.

2. Take a break from just hitting the parks and walk around the boardwalk. Also check out the resorts... especially during the Holidays. They are decorated so beautifully.

3. Eat at either the sit down inside Mexico or Boma at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. It is a buffet that is simply amazing! Go on a Wednesday or a Saturday and get the Carrot Ginger Soup...to die for!

I hope those help! :flower3:

We did not do that (opening ceremony) once during our 2007 trip. I definately plan on it for the 2008! Thanks! :goodvibes
PS: On Extended Morning Hours is the ceremony early or the usual time?
I agree on Boma, it is unique and wonderful! :thumbsup2

From our recent visit the very first thing I can suggest you do before you enter the parks is..... cut up your Visa card.:scared1:

1. Fantasmic
2. Monorail - Wait to sit up front, especially when traveling with kids!
3. My new favorite restaurant - Raglan Road

Excluding rides, I'd have to say:

1. Monorail (Does this count as a ride?)

I consider it a ride!!! hahaha.
It basically MAKES the trip for me.

I remember one time we went and just used the rental car & on the last day we couldn't stand it another minute without getting on the monorail!!! hahaha we rode it all the way around (switching over of course) and back until we finally got off at the magic kingdom. :cloud9:
i can say the spanish speaking part on the monorail flawlessly which is pretty impressive if you knew me haha :rotfl:

btw anyone going in February the 20th-27th? :surfweb:

1. Order a bowl of Conch Chowder at Olivia's located in Old Key West.

2. Be the last one in the park.

3. Buy an extra trading pin and give it to the first kid you see about to have a meltdown.

What is "Wake up Tink"? My DD8 LOVES Tink and I would like to know anything there is to do that involves Tink! Thanks. We are going in Dec. Also someone mentioned looking for Tink @ her store....something about a keyhole.. Maybe we should start an overlooked fun at WDW thread...

1. Pace yourself so you can get the most of your trip.
2. If you'er staying at a WDW Resort, take time to expore it.
3. Don't forget to see The Festaval of the Lion King at AK
(I've told that to several people and they always forget--
We love that show and have seen it several times--
Best Show at the Parks).
Have a Fun and Magical Trip!!!:goodvibes

We like to watch the Electrical Water Pageant.
Riding the monorail at night to check out the lights.
We enjoyed the boat ride from POR to DTD. (especially at night) It was about 15 minutes long and really enjoyable.

My sons added:

Either water park, but we like Typhoon Lagoon better.
Disney Quest at DTD (especially Virtual Pirates of the Caribbean)
Cirque du Soleil and pizza afterwards at Wolfgang Pucks Express.

3 more:

Hoop de Doo Revue (take a boat to Ft. Wilderness)
Early morning (8:00am) character breakfast at Crystal Palace so you can get some uncrowded time at the MK before park opening.
Haircut at the Main St barbershop
