Today was our last full day of holiday
But we still had plenty to do
shopping!! So off we went to do a little bit of shopping. First stop was the Premium Outlets and the Coach store. As it was a lot quieter today I homed in on the Signature Patchwork bag I liked and soon I was handing over my trusty credit card
By now we were hungry so ventured into the food court and order a 12 inch beef sandwich to share along with a cold drink each. Once we had eaten this we carried on with our shopping and then once the whole mall had been exhausted we headed South to the Outlet by the airport. As it happens, this used to be Belz and it looks like the one used to in Orlando and is now also owned by Premium Outlets. I found the Skechers shop quite easily and soon found a pair of shoes I liked and as it was second pair half price Nathan also found a pair he liked
I then made my way to the Adidas shop and found a nice t-shirt. After much umming and arrring we decided to go into the Samsonite store and buy the huge bag to put all our new purchases in, remembering the leather motorbike clothes we got in San Francisco and the fact we now needed to get them home! So once again more money was spent, all for a worthy cause. I stopped in a little gift shop and found a little cacti made our of glass squares which was quite cute and certainly symbolised where we had been. Now the one task I failed in was to find a pair of Crocs in the right size and colour
So in one last final attempt of a shopping splurge we went back to the Fashion Show Mall where Nathan got a few Lacoste Polo Shirts and I again tried to find some Crocs but to no avail
Oh well I thought I could always check the airport they usually have a few stores! So by now it was later afternoon and we fancied a swim back at the hotel.
It was a lovely afternoon and not too hot so we soaked up the sun for a while and dipped ourselves in the pool a few times. After which we headed to the room to get ready for the big event PoTC 2
Whilst getting showered I decided to study the Strip in more detail and we could actually see the airport quite well.
It was quite interesting watching how the planes followed the length of the Strip on landing.
Then we watched the sunset before heading out, whilst starting to pack
Once again the queues were huge so we made our way to a trusty old friend, yes The Cheesecake Factory. We were soon seated and started with the Crispy Crab Wontons - Our Version of Crab Rangoon. Fresh Crabmeat Blended with - Cream Cheese, Green Onion, Water Chestnuts and Sweet Chili Sauce - Fried Crisp in Wonton Wrappers, to share as an appetizer. We also had a couple of Bud Lights
I then had the Cobb Salad - Chicken Breast, Avocado, Blue Cheese, Bacon, Tomato, Egg and Lettuce Tossed in Our Vinaigrette.
While Nathan had the Buffalo Chicken salad - Mixed Greens Tossed with Spicy Crispy Pieces of Chicken Breast, Tomato, Celery, Blue Cheese and Vinaigrette. Topped with Spicy Buffalo Sauce and Blue Cheese Dressing , which no longer appears on their menu
The salads were very tasty and very very filling, once again we were too full for a cheesecake. We then headed off down the Strip to the cinema, stopping en route to pick up some chocolate M&Ms. We got to the cinema about 11.30pm and were soon inside and getting a drink. Once inside the screen itself we found a couple of seats near the back and soon the place was packed, there was even a baby in its pram, which luckily slept through the whole film! I must say the film was entertaining and by the end of it wanted to get to bed but we just had to wait until the last minute to see what the surprise was, well it was funny
We quickly headed back to the hotel and fell fast asleep as it was gone 3am
and we were meant to be out of the room by 11am and the packing was only half done!!!
