DM & I just got back today from our 8 night stay at WDW.
We stayed 4 nights at the Poly, 3 nights at the Boardwalk and 1 night at POP.
Polynesian
Simply fell in love. This resort is a Deluxe but still has a relaxed atmosphere. The grounds are breathtaking. Depending on the time of day some flowers are opened and some are not so you always see different things. We also saw a lot of ducks and bunnies.
We had room 3909 in the Tokelau building (Garden View) and didn't have any issue with Mousekeeping at all. We even got towel animals every day (yes I admit, I brought the smallest one home with me
).
The rooms are HUGE. Our last resort was POFQ and we already thought the room was very nice, but this was wayyyyyyy better. We could see a little bit of the beach from our balcony.
Pools are great, the quiet pool is literally steps from the building entrance. It's not very "quiet" during the day but it is at night. Great slide at the Volcano pool !
The lobby is beautiful and has several great shops, Captain Cook's is very convenient for refilling cups and getting snacks.
The monorail... well let's just say now I understand why some will not stay on a resort that is not on the monorail route. It makes everything so much easier. A few minutes walk from our building, fast, clean... We were so spoiled by the monorail that we actually skipped AK entirely this trip just because we had to take a bus to get there.

We arrived around 2pm after taking the boat from Epcot. We'd seen the lobby before but it was still impressive. The best part was that we got upgraded to concierge!!!! It was totally unexpected and we were thrilled ! The resort is gorgeous but has a definate "Deluxe" feel to it - by that I mean you don't see many families having fun in the hallways or anything like that.
To be honest, while I thought the resort was beautiful and had a lot of charm it just isn't my kind of resort. Too perfect, and, well, some people were a tad stuck up. One of the concierges was exceptionally rude to us, to the point where I actually considered calling up the front desk and complaining. He made us feel out of place and unwelcomed, and unfortunately for me that feeling lasted for our entire stay.
However all the rest of the staff was pleasant, if not friendly.
We only used the quiet pool. We went to check out the Luna Pool once and it looked like a lot of fun however it was very very crowded and not the kind of pool you can really swim in. The DVC part of the resort was MUCH MORE lively and laid back compared to our floor.
Inkeeper's Lounge is the room on the Concierge level where you can find snacks and drinks through the day. We mainly used it for drinks since there is no place in the resort itself to refill your mug, you need to go to the boardwalk bakery in order to do that. It was definitely a big plus. We did get snacks there a few times, however for dinner and desserts in the evening, you need to be there pretty much as soon as they are served or you're out of luck. Not a big deal for us, we were very thankful just to be able to get a drink and fruit in the morning.
We LOVE the World Showcase so it was perfect for us to just take the boat & enter through the International Gateway and not have to bother with Future World at all. We only went to MGM once but still were very glad that the boat could take us there as well. The boats come regularly and are very relaxing. I loved seeing the Boardwalk, YC/BC all lit up at night from the boat.
All in all, I would come back but probably only if it was the only resort with an AP discount. It is a VERY impressive and upscale resort and I felt like I was walking on eggshells all the time - the "incident" with the concierge definitely didn't help. However I loved the fact that it felt as if we took a time machine back to the 20s - even Bell Services was in character

I booked our last night there, because when I booked BWI the 4th night wasn't available. We just needed a place to sleep since DME was picking us up at 10 the next morning.
After staying in 2 Deluxes we weren't too thrilled about spending a night in a Value. I was also worried that the resort would be huge and we would be very far. We got a room in the 80s section, which is pretty much as far as you can get, but it was less than 5mns to walk to the main building. We were actually pleased with this resort and if we choose to go to a value again we'll choose POP. I liked the theming, and the shop is great. We spent more on souvenirs in that shop than we spent all week combined.
We knew what to expect for the rooms since we'd been at ASMO before. There's only 2 of us so it was fine. Sure the beds aren't anywhere as comfortable as the ones at BWI or Poly, but it was only for one night.

Luggage Transfer - we used it twice and had no problem. Since we were only staying overnight at POP we asked if they could keep our biggest bags and just let us get our carry-ons and it was great not having to lug all that stuff around for only one night. Both times our luggage was there before we even got to the resort. We were told luggage is transferred between 1pm and 3pm.
Hope this helps anyone trying to pick resorts and/or planning a split stay
