Wednesday, February 20!
*Warning-if anyone named Marissa is trying to avoid pictures of New Fantasyland, she should probably skip the next 2 updates!!
Hi guys! I think this day is going to be kind of short, because I stopped taking notes really early in the morning, and I don't have a lot of pictures either! You will see why once I get to that part of the day, but for now, let's start at the beginning!
We had to get up really early that morning and pack all of our stuff, because we were switching rooms! We were still at AKL for one more night, but we were switching to a savanna view studio! So we got ready and packed up and brought everything down to the lobby, and Diane checked us into the new room while Caitlin and I brought our luggage to Bell Services. This was the first time I've ever used Bell Services, and I was very impressed with it!
Once our luggage was safely stored away and we were checked in, we went to the Mara for breakfast. I had a croissant sandwich, which was really good, and of course, I can't remember what Caitlin or Diane had! I don't think they had anything crazy, just some typical breakfast food, I really liked the Mara, it was good, but I prefer Roaring Forks at Wilderness Lodge!
We finished eating and went out to the bus stop to catch a Magic Kingdom bus and there were tons of people already waiting! And the bus was taking forever, so more and more people showed up! A bus finally came, and we didn't get on the first one, we ended up having to wait for a second one. Luckily, a second one came quickly and we made it in time for the rope drop show at MK!
I love starting out my day with the rope drop show! Brandon doesn't understand why I need to see it at least once a trip, but it's just so cute and it really makes you excited to go to the Magic Kingdom, doesn't it? We got a spot pretty close, which was nice! Soon the train was pulling up and all of the characters were coming out to welcome us to the Magic Kingdom!
We went in, and the first thing we wanted to do was go to New Fantasyland! I saw it already in November (which kind of makes me sad that I haven't gotten there in my November TR yet, but I'm writing about it here!
) but Diane and Caitlin would be seeing it for the first time! I'm not sure Caitlin really cared, but Diane did, and we wanted to see everything before the lines got too crazy!
First, I had to take a few pictures of the castle:
The first thing we wanted to do was Enchanted Tales with Belle!
We were pretty happy it said there was only a 20 minute wait, however, it was more like 30 minutes. It seemed like we were in that line forever!
The cottage is so cute, one good thing about being in line for a while is you can take a ton of pictures of it!
Finally we got inside! I love this painting on the wall of Belle and her mom, so adorable!
There are height markers on the wall, showing how tall Belle was at each age, so we made Caitlin stand near it to compare, which a lot of other little girls did too! I actually would have taken my picture next to it, but there were so many people in there, I felt stupid!
We went in the next room, with the magic mirror! I'm not going to say what happens here, in case anyone hasn't seen it yet, but it is SO cool!
Then we went into the room with the wardrobe, where people got picked for the parts they were going to play to surprise Belle! (Sorry this picture is awful, I couldn't get a good one!)
Caitlin didn't want a part, so she kind of hung back so she didn't get picked! I was kind of wishing she would, I almost volunteered to do it with her, because I want to be in it someday! And I know I'll never volunteer when I'm with Brandon, unless he gets picked to be one of the guards!
I kind of regret that now, it would have been fun!
Once all of the parts were handed out, we went into the library, where Lumiere was waiting for us!
He actually moves and talks, it's so cool! He explains how we are all there as a surprise for Belle and we're going to tell her a story!
Belle came out and she was beautiful!
I feel like I get star struck around Disney princesses or something, they are just so intimidating to me, but especially Belle, she is just so stunning and perfect! I wasn't sure I'd like her new dress, but it looks amazing in person!
We sat and watched the story, and I loved it! I think it is so adorable, and Caitlin and Diane seemed to enjoy it too! At the end, they have everyone who participated take a picture with Belle, then they let all of the kids who are in the audience go up to meet her if they want, and surprisingly, Caitlin actually went up to take her picture with Belle!
When we were finished, we checked the wait time for the Little Mermaid, and it was pretty long already, so we grabbed some fast passes for a little later. Since they are so close to the carousel, Caitlin wanted to go on, so why not? And guess what? This was my first time on the carousel!
It's cute, I like the Disney music it plays, but I'd probably have more of a connection to it if I went on as a kid. For some reason, we always skipped it on my family trips!
Continued in next post!
