3 Princesses Hit the Parks!-A 2/13 Girls Trip TR!*Update 6/19, pg 23-The End!*

I believe we have had the discussion about migraine before. Be careful with too much ibuprofen as it can really tear up your stomach (it thins the stomach lining) and it can also cause rebound migraines. That said, what currently works for me is 2 Ibuprofen (400mg total) and one excedrin migraine. If I need to stay awake I will have a diet caffeinated soda. I rarely have soda so the caffeine really helps. You should definitely talk to you doctor though. Also start doing a food/headache journal. Keep track of what you are eating and when the headaches occur. I get them if I don't eat and simply from squinting into the sun. Also too much citrus, and sometimes just a full moon!

Glad your sore throat is better after only a couple days on the antibiotics! Thats a great sign!

Thursday, February 21

Hi everyone! Sorry it's taken me so long to update, I had 2 CPR classes last week, so I really had limited DIS time, and then this weekend flew by with again, limited DIS time! :confused3 Life getting in the way of the DIS, it's so unfair!

So Thursday morning, we had to get up really early! We had to check out of Animal Kingdom Lodge and then take a cab over to Bay Lake Tower! :thumbsup2 So we all got up and got ready, and I'm pretty sure I went down to the Mara to get tea and coffee for Diane and I, because I have sunrise pictures by the pool from that morning!

IMG_2733.jpg

Isn't it amazing? I really loved it there, so pretty!

We got all of our luggage together and brought everything downstairs and went outside to get a cab. It was so easy, they already have cabs there waiting for people, it's so nice! Makes it so easy to switch resorts if you have to!

After about a 15 minute drive, we were pulling up to Bay Lake Tower! I was so excited to stay here, I've wanted to stay in an MK resort for a long time! I have stayed at the Wilderness Lodge twice, but BLT is practically INSIDE the MK!

We payed the cab driver and were getting all of our luggage situated, so I had to get a picture of the entrance (with Caitlin in the corner!)

IMG_2745.jpg

Look at the art they have in the doorway! I love this resort!

IMG_2744.jpg

We went into the lobby to check in, which Diane took care of since she rented the DVC points, and I just looked around and admired the gorgeous lobby! It smelled SO good in there, it almost reminded me of that amazing scent in the Beach Club!

IMG_2739.jpg

IMG_2738.jpg

Isn't it beautiful? I really felt like I loved it SO much at that point!

Once we were checked in, our room of course wasn't ready at 7:30 in the morning, but that was ok, because we had a park to get to! So we had Bell Services take our bags and we walked over to the Contemporary to get the monorail!

IMG_2746.jpg

Next is one of my FAVORITE pictures EVER, I love it so much! I took it on the walkway between BLT and the CR, and I took it with my phone, not even my real camera (of course, Instagram helped enhance it a bit!)

IMG_2749.jpg

Isn't that the most perfect view? Look at the sun and the water, I was just SO happy at that moment!

When we got to the Contemporary, we looked around a few of the shops, since it was so early. I took a picture of the pillow pets to remind myself to buy one soon, I kept wanting to buy one but I couldn't decide which one!

IMG_2750.jpg

Soon we hopped on the monorail over to the TTC, and then got off to switch monorails, since we were going to EPCOT! My favorite place in the entire world!

IMG_2753.jpg

IMG_2754.jpg

There it is! Spaceship Earth from the monorail!

IMG_2755.jpg

When we got off the monorail, Diane had to go to Guest Services to try to add days to her park hoppers, but I think they were closed, so I went to the restroom while they went to the coffee/espresso booth. I'm pretty sure Diane got Caitlin a donut since we didn't eat breakfast, and when I came out, I found us a spot in line for rope drop with only about 5 people ahead of us!

We had to wait a little while until we could get in, but I'm pretty sure they started letting people in a few minutes early!

IMG_2759.jpg

IMG_2760.jpg

Our plan for the morning was to hit Soarin' and Test Track, and then do whatever, but we HAD to do Soarin' and Test Track, preferably multiple times! I actually didn't know which one would be better to do first, or if we should get FP's, I didn't know the strategy anymore, so I asked people on Twitter, and everyone said to get Soarin' FP's, then to Soarin' standby THEN go to Test Track! But Caitin was dying to do Test Track, so we went over there first, hoping it wouldn't be too long of a wait, then we'd run over to Soarin'!

I don't remember what the posted wait time was for Test Track, but we didn't have much of a wait at all to get in the room where you design your car!

IMG_2764.jpg

IMG_2765.jpg

Caitlin designed our car, and this is what it ended up looking like!

IMG_2768.jpg

Once you design the car, you go into the area where the cars actually are, and you're supposed to scan your card or room key, whatever you stored your car on so you can see it during the ride on the screen. I actually don't remember seeing our car at all, but I could be wrong! :confused3

Mostly I was confused by Test Track! It doesn't seem to have a theme anymore! I mean, it looks cool, it's all neon lights, and the actual ride is the same, but it just doesn't make sense anymore! I still like it, because I love the actual ride, especially going outside, but the story is kind of stupid now! They should have just modernized it a little, instead of changing it completely!

When we got out, Caitlin wanted to go on it again, so I took their park hoppers and went over to Soarin' to grab FP's for us! I was hoping the standby line wouldn't be too long, because if it wasn't, I wanted to ride it really quick!

Once I got to The Land, I ran downstairs and grabbed our FP's, with a return time of 10:35, which wasn't bad at all!

IMG_2771.jpg

Continued in next post...

February 21, Part 2

I checked the standby time, it said 20 minutes, so I texted Diane to tell her I was going to ride it alone while she was on Test Track, and she said the line was longer for Test Track than it was when we went on it, so she might be a while anyway, so that worked out nicely!

I got in line for Soarin' alone, which was strange, but by that point, I was starting to not let it bother me! I just played around on my phone, trying to get the stupid Disney wi-fi to work, which would work for about 30 seconds before you had to sign into it again! You would think Disney could get decent wi-fi!

Once I got down to the ramp part of the line, I was about halfway down, and they were asking for a single rider, so I put my hand up, and they unhooked a chain for me and I cut SO many people! AND I got put in the front row, in the middle, my favorite place to ride Soarin'! The perks of being a single rider, you get to legally cut the entire line!

And Soarin' was amazing, as always! I absolutely love that ride, it's so perfect! I didn't even care that I was alone riding it, because I love it so much!

When I got out, I think I was texting Diane to tell her I was finished, and they were right there waiting! We were starving from not eating all morning, so we were going to grab some breakfast from Sunshine Seasons! Caitlin couldn't find anything she liked, so she just sat there while Diane and I ate. We both got the same thing, which was...

IMG_2770.jpg

The strawberry shortcake, of course! We didn't want to get anything too heavy since we wanted to wait until the World Showcase opened so we could eat a quick service there!

When we finished eating, we still had a little time before we could use our Soarin' FP's, so we went on Living with the Land! I love that ride, it's so relaxing, but it seemed extra long that time, I don't know why! But, you will all be happy to know, that I finally noticed Blueberry Boy at the end! (No picture evidence, though!)

Finally, it was time for Soarin' again!

IMG_2772.jpg

I don't think we got the front or middle that time, but it was still great! I'm not sure Diane and Caitlin are as impressed with Soarin' as I am, but at least they humored me and rode it! :cool1:

Since it was a little after 11 when we got off Soarin', we decided it was time to head over to the World Showcase! Diane and I really wanted fish and chips, and if we wanted a table we wanted to be the first ones there!

On our walk over, we saw the Oz playground for the Flower and Garden Festival, which looked really cute!

IMG_2773.jpg

It was nice that we got to see most of Epcot decorated for the Festival, even though it wasn't starting for another week or two, it looked beautiful!

IMG_2774.jpg

Diane wanted to stop at the Refreshment place near Canada to get Caitlin chicken nuggets, since there was no way she would eat fish and chips, so we decided to split up, I'd go get the fish and chips and they would get the chicken nuggets. So I walked over to the UK, and I took a few pictures along the way of my beloved World Showcase!

IMG_2775.jpg

A lot of the topiaries were already out, which was so cool, I really love the Flower and Garden Festival!

IMG_2776.jpg

IMG_2778.jpg

When I got to the Fish and Chip shop, I saw that it wasn't open until 11:30! Ugh!! There was one lady, waiting there like some stalker, and I didn't want to do that, so I wandered around a little and waited for Caitlin and Diane.

IMG_2781.jpg

Sooo pretty!

Once Caitlin and Diane came back, we got a table so Caitlin could start eating, and Diane said when they were walking back, a bird swooped down and grabbed a chicken nugget right off Caitlin's plate! Isn't that so horrifying? Not only that that happened, but the thought of a bird eating a chicken nugget just grosses me out! Let that be a lesson to you guys-if you are walking around the World Showcase with food, cover it! :rotfl:

I decided to go wait in line, since it seemed like other people were hanging out by the fish and chips place. Finally it opened after what seemed like hours, and I got one order of fish and chips which Diane and I split. They were fantastic, I love the fish and chips there, especially the chips, they are SO good! :thumbsup2

IMG_2782.jpg

Once we finished eating, we were ready to explore the World Showcase!

IMG_2784.jpg

Our first stop was France, where Diane wanted to check out the shops, since I guess she never gets to when she comes to Disney with her DH!

IMG_2785.jpg

I wanted to look at the new bakery

IMG_2788.jpg

so we walked in and it's huge! Then we looked around the little shop there, everything is so cute! Diane found this sugar and creamer set, which she wanted to buy, but never went back for!

IMG_2789.jpg

I was actually thinking of getting them too, but I forgot to go back for them also! :confused3 I hope they still have them in December!

We were ready to leave France, and walked by Belle's meeting spot and noticed she was going to be out in a few minutes, and there was no line! I asked Caitlin to please meet her with me and she agreed, even though she didn't want to meet princesses! I was SO nervous, Belle was the first princess I was going to meet in Disney!

When Belle came out, we went right up to her, and she commented on how there was a picture of her on my shirt (I was wearing my Belle shirt that day, which you guys would have been able to see, if the picture with her wasn't horrible!) and then she talked to Caitlin about going on adventures and playing hide and seek with Chip, she was so sweet!

This is the only picture I'm going to show you, because the one where we actually looked at the camera is probably one of the worst pictures I've ever taken in my life! :rotfl2:

IMG_3221.jpg

But there's the photographic proof that I actually met a princess! And now that I've done it, I think I'll be able to do it with Brandon! Maybe I'm over my princess fear! :cool1: (Oh, I just realized you can kind of see my Belle shirt in that picture!)

We stopped in Morocco for a little while and looked around, it's one of my favorite pavilions, but I don't know if Diane and Caitlin really liked it. Caitlin wasn't too interested in the World Showcase, unfortunately, but I can't blame her, it's not really for kids!

IMG_2790.jpg

We went to Japan and looked around the store there, which again, happens to be another favorite of mine!

IMG_2792.jpg

Caitlin got a little fan there, and they wrote her name on it in Japanese, which I thought was so cute! I almost want to get one next time!

I think it was Italy where Diane and Caitlin signed up to do an Agent P mission! I think Italy is pretty, but I never spend much time there, although this Lady and the Tramp topiary is so cute!

IMG_2796.jpg

IMG_2797.jpg

Their Agent P mission was in Germany, so while they did that, I decided to get a pretzel!

IMG_2800.jpg

Yum, I LOVE the pretzels in Germany! It was huge though, so whenever I'd run into Diane, I would give her some of it!

Up next...finishing up in Epcot, getting our room at BLT, and MK!

(I know it was a random place to stop, but I used 25 images and I don't have time to do another update! I will continue hopefully tomorrow or Wednesday!)

When I got home I realized I never went back to get that creamer set at Epcot:sad: I don't know how I forgot to go back. I hope they still have it when you go b/c I really want it.::yes::

:goodvibes Ah, check in at BLT. When we first checked in I was sure I would never want to stay anywhere else. I have always wanted to stay in all the resorts but when we checked in that morning I really thought I might be ruined with BLT. I loved the lobby, the palm trees, the smell, the walk to the CR lobby, Chef Mickeys, the gift shop..... it was just perfect. Until it wasn't.... Not sure if our afternoon experience ruined it for me or what but I'm glad I am now able to continue my quest on trying new resorts. (Although I do want to give BLT another try, just this time it will have to be the MK view)

I love those cream and saucer cups! I really hope they have them in September!

So proud of you that you conquered your fear of meeting face characters!

Both of your sunrise pictures are so beautiful!!! Love.

OH BLT. My beautiful, lovely home. It's funny, they recently switched check-in over to the BLT lobby... when I stayed there we had to check in at CR! It makes so much more sense now.

The pillow pets are just exploding! They totally didn't sell those in the CR shops back in August! (Hahah so many changes between our two trips!)

AHHH your Soarin' experience sounds great! TAKE THAT, PEOPLE WITH GROUPS!

OMG, that cannibalistic bird!

IMG_2749.jpg

Isn't that the most perfect view? Look at the sun and the water, I was just SO happy at that moment!

That is a pretty darn perfect view! Doesn't get any better than that picture.

What a great morning in Epcot. It looks like you guys are hitting all the best rides and treating yourselves to one of the my perfect Epcot treats ever - the strawberry shortcake. Yum!

What a beautiful day and you got a lot of unique pictures. Fun update!

One can never have too many sunrise or sunset pictures. Your photo of the sunrise is gorgeous!

The point of Test Track is that you are testing the car you designed. After every section all the cars loaded for the vehicle are supposed to show up in the order they performed. It doesn't always work so well though. Plus, one time that I rode it the sound wasn't working, so the whole time I had no idea what was going on.

Yay for getting to bypass all those people AND getting a front row seat for Soarin'.

I love your BLT sunrise pictures!! Gorgeous!! :goodvibes

Soarin and Test Track AND Strawberry Shortcake?? Sounds like a great Epcot morning to me!! :thumbsup2

Ahhhh that bird would have freaked me out as well!

I love that creamer set. I don't drink coffee, so it would just sit and collect dust here, but it is so darn cute.

Being a single rider always makes me feel a little awkward and sad...until they ask for one on a ride without a dedicated single rider line, then I am loud and proud to be a single rider!!!! :lmao: Gotta love when that happens.

Strawberry shortcake for breakfast sounds like just about the BEST. BREAKFAST. EVER!

That really freaks me out about a bird swooping down to steal a chicken nugget. Birds freak me out in general, but for one to steal food off a plate IN MY HANDS...I think the rest of those chicken nuggets would have ended up on the ground had I been holding the plate! Those Disney birds are SO aggressive!!

I'm glad you got over your princess meeting fear! They really can be very fun, as I learned with Paxton this past trip. Before that I had only ever met Snow White and it was so awkward that I kind of swore of face characters for awhile. But having a toddler/child with you for those face character meets definitely helps take the edge off! :thumbsup2

Bay Lake Tower is beautiful. I really want to stay there.
Caitlin designed a beautiful car!
I love Disney’s topiaries. They are very detailed and just amazing. What was your favorite one you saw?
I love how all the princess feel like they are the real ones. They way they talk and react is just spot on.

DD

Great start to the day. Love that you were able to bypass the line for Soarin!

Sounds like a great morning in Epcot!

It is actually making me sad that for my upcoming trip that WDW doesn't have more single rider lines as I will be solo the entire time. Very cool that you got to skip a big chunk of the line though in order to fill that single spot!

The creamer set is really cute! I wonder what my non-disney loving hubby would do if I started adding Disney touches to our house!

BLT looks beautiful!
When I saw the Epcot monorail sign my stomach did a little flip!
Test Track looks weird now. I'm definitely not someone who has an easy time with change, but I am trying to be open minded about this... but reading everyone's accounts of it is making it hard!
I love Soarin! And the strawberry shortcake at SS. DH told me that he didn't want to eat there next trip. I told him I would eat there without him because I need that shortcake!
How sweet that you got to meet Belle! She's my favourite princess.

When I got home I realized I never went back to get that creamer set at Epcot:sad: I don't know how I forgot to go back. I hope they still have it when you go b/c I really want it.::yes::

Yeah, I don't know how we both forgot about it! I'll definitely get you one when I go back, I hope it's still there!

Yeah I don't know what happened with BLT. I'd like to stay there again too, but I think Brandon would hate it. I can't even say he'd like an MK view, because he's not a big fan of the MK, I think he'd like AKL much better. It was really pretty and everything but I don't know. There was something weird about it, I can't even explain it!

I love those cream and saucer cups! I really hope they have them in September!

So proud of you that you conquered your fear of meeting face characters!

Aren't they adorable? :lovestruc

Haha, thanks, me too! :thumbsup2

Both of your sunrise pictures are so beautiful!!! Love.

AHHH your Soarin' experience sounds great! TAKE THAT, PEOPLE WITH GROUPS!

OMG, that cannibalistic bird!

Thanks, aren't they just amazing?

Really, that's so weird! So many changes in just a few months! :confused3

Yeah pillow pets are everywhere now, which is nice, because it made it much easier to get one when I wanted one! They even have them online now, I'm dying to get the Pooh one!

It really was, I loved being able to skip everyone in line because I was alone! :cool1:

I KNOW isn't that terrifying? I mean, I like birds but the thought of them eating other birds freaks me out! :scared1:

That is a pretty darn perfect view! Doesn't get any better than that picture.

What a great morning in Epcot. It looks like you guys are hitting all the best rides and treating yourselves to one of the my perfect Epcot treats ever - the strawberry shortcake. Yum!

What a beautiful day and you got a lot of unique pictures. Fun update!

I really love that picture, Bay Lake is so picturesque! :lovestruc

It was a great morning in Epcot! I love that strawberry shortcake! I actually saw a strawberry shortcake cake in the store the other day, and I was tempted to buy it, then I thought, well it won't be as good as the one at Sunshine Seasons. So I didn't bother. Lame. :confused3

Thanks!

Yay for getting to bypass all those people AND getting a front row seat for Soarin'.

Thank you! I am obsessed with sunrise pictures at Disney, they are all so beautiful! :cool1:

Yeah, I mean, I get the point of Test Track, but it just doesn't come off well when you're on the ride, you know? I just liked it a lot better before, but at least the ride part is the same! That's all I really care about!

Yay, Soarin'! :upsidedow

I love your BLT sunrise pictures!! Gorgeous!! :goodvibes

Soarin and Test Track AND Strawberry Shortcake?? Sounds like a great Epcot morning to me!! :thumbsup2

Ahhhh that bird would have freaked me out as well!

Thank you! :goodvibes

Pretty much the perfect Epcot morning, you can't really ask for much better! :cool1:

Yeah I'm glad I didn't see that bird thing happen, I really like birds, but when they do weird things like that, it's terrifying!

I love that creamer set. I don't drink coffee, so it would just sit and collect dust here, but it is so darn cute.

Isn't it so cute? I don't drink coffee very much either, so I doubt I'd even use it if I got it, but it's just a cute little thing to display to remind you of Disney! :yay:

Being a single rider always makes me feel a little awkward and sad...until they ask for one on a ride without a dedicated single rider line, then I am loud and proud to be a single rider!!!! :lmao: Gotta love when that happens.

Strawberry shortcake for breakfast sounds like just about the BEST. BREAKFAST. EVER!

Haha, yeah I got over my awkwardness of being a single rider really fast when I realized I got to skip ahead of the line! :yay:

Yep, I love that strawberry shortcake, it's SO good, and it's a perfect breakfast!

I know, I don't know how they didn't drop that plate! It's just so gross thinking about a bird eating another bird...I like to think birds only eat seeds and bread and fruit! :rotfl2:

Yeah I'm glad I waited to meet a Princess when I was with Caitlin, it made it so much easier! Belle did talk to me, but she focused more on Caitlin, which was nice! Now I think I'm ready to meet the Princesses the next time I go with Brandon, hopefully he can do all the talking since I seem to mute anytime I'm in the presence of Disney royalty! princess:

Bay Lake Tower is beautiful. I really want to stay there.
Caitlin designed a beautiful car!
I love Disney’s topiaries. They are very detailed and just amazing. What was your favorite one you saw?

It's a really nice resort, I'm glad I got to stay there!

The topiaries are adorable! I really loved the princess ones, and Lady and the Tramp in Italy! :thumbsup2

Haha, that's exactly why the Princesses intimidate me! They are all so perfect! :goodvibes

Great start to the day. Love that you were able to bypass the line for Soarin!

Thank you! Me too, great single rider perk! :cool1:

Sounds like a great morning in Epcot!

It is actually making me sad that for my upcoming trip that WDW doesn't have more single rider lines as I will be solo the entire time. Very cool that you got to skip a big chunk of the line though in order to fill that single spot!

It was!

Haha, well Soarin' doesn't have one and they still let me skip! They also let me skip on Tot! :cool1:

Isn't it! Haha, you should get one and give it a try...:rolleyes1

BLT looks beautiful!
When I saw the Epcot monorail sign my stomach did a little flip!
Test Track looks weird now. I'm definitely not someone who has an easy time with change, but I am trying to be open minded about this... but reading everyone's accounts of it is making it hard!

How sweet that you got to meet Belle! She's my favourite princess.

It really is! I loved being right on the monorail line!

Yeah Test Track is strange now. I mean, it's fun, but it's just different! :confused3

WHAT? No Sunshine Seasons? You definitely will have to go alone! :thumbsup2

Belle is my favorite too! :cheer2:
