3 parks in one day (only Disney day) thoughts?

Planning ahead for November when we plan to be in Orlando for another event. I'd like to experience a few of the new and not so new things at Disney if at all possible while we are in the area but would only have 1 day, Thursday, November 16, 2023 to do it. There will be 6 of us, all adults.

I'm thinking about getting a park hopper so we can go to MK for Tron, AK for Flight of Passage, then finish at Epcot for Remy and/or Guardians (some of our party won't ride this one and will probably do Soarin' instead). We'll have a car so plan to drive between parks.

What do you think? Doable or foolhardy?

Also, based on past history, it looks like that night will likely be a Christmas party at MK so that's why I thought we'd start the day at MK.

3 parks in one day is certainly doable. But riding Tron will be a wild card. You might not get a boarding group of LL early enough in the day. And you can't rope drop it.

Have you considered adding the Christmas party and flipping your day? It's a lot in one day, but we've done it and it can be fun.
That would be nice, but I don't think we'd want the extra expense of a park hopper and a party ticket.

Totally doable. We have done 3 parks in one day many times.

you can do 3 parks in a day, but you might not be able to do the top rides in each park - especially since (i believe) you can only buy 2 ILL$ in a day.

if your goal is to do these particular attractions to the exclusion of basically everything else, i would rope drop (or just standby) FoP, head to MK at 2pm with a lLL$ for tron, and then close out at epcot with a ILL$ for GotG.

Are you staying onsite? I'm guessing maybe not since Disney isn't really the reason you will be in town.

This will greatly affect your ability to get the ILL$. If Tron is still a VQ at that point, being onsite doesn't affect anything (and it will probably not be as hard to get that many months from now).

I'd start the day at AK, followed by MK. and then monorail over to Epcot.

Unless I missed it, no changes to park hopping starts at 2 pm, so you wouldn't be able to hop to AK until then. I do agree that how Tron is being handled will be a big determinant for me because say it is a virtual queue, I just did GoG a couple weeks ago at 7 am and our time was late afternoon. That puts a crunch on the rest of your day since you can't hop until 2. I'd probably settle on two parks.

We did it not long ago - but we did Epcot, HS, and MK as our 3. Spent a fortune between tickets, ILL, and Genie but :confused3

Now, we had a 3 year old with us and drove in that morning for the day. Adults could have accomplished more.

Park reservation was for MK.

7am book Genie+ Ratatouille for midafternoon
8:30am ILL Rise for evening
8:30am ILL Guardians for midafternoon
10:30am book Genie+ Winnie the Pooh
10:45am arrive at MK
Genie+ Winnie the Pooh
Genie+ Dumbo
Walk-on Teacups
Genie+ Buzz
Book Genie+ for MMRR for late afternoon
Haircut at the Barbershop
Snack/picture at castle
Drive to HS, stopping for ChickFilA on way
Book Genie+ for Smugglers for evening
Take Skyliner to Epcot
ILL Guardians (child swap so takes longer)
Genie+ Ratatouille
Skyliner back to HS
Genie+ MMRR
ILL Rise
Snack and drink break
Book Genie+ for TS Mania
Genie+ Smugglers
Eat dinner at Docking Bay
Genie+ TS Mania
Leave park at 9:10pm and head home!

We could have done more at MK - the rides were easy to get back to back - but wanted lunch and the 3 year old needed some rest by that time.

We've done it. It's a wild ride and you'll probably be exhausted. Pick and choose your most important rides at each park and keep expectations low.

Tron will most likely still be on Virtual Queue, Guardians may not be. You will need park reservations for MK (a 1 day MK ticket includes reservation) to try for VQ boarding group. Definitely probably all doable if you fork out for paid LL for Fop and Guardians but that’s going to be extra 30 bucks or more plus park hopper for each person.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of spending for ILL or Genie+, so we may have to settle on one park or maybe forget it altogether. We're willing to pay for hoppers but don't want to waste our money if attempting these attractions will be nearly impossible. I'll just have to see how are going as we get closer to November. Thanks!

I would do one park and the party over three parks in one day. I did actually 😆 Chose EP for F&W for the day and then we went MK for the party that night. No regrets. And plenty exhausting! I cannot imagine just going to EP to ride Soarin to see some crooked world monuments.

Is all 3 parks something everyone is jazzed about? It sounds like a lot of wasted time to me driving between parks, parking, security when you’re paying all this money to be inside the park but if everyone in your group is like “YEAH! 3 PARKS, ONE DAY LET’S DO THIS!” Then go for it.

Woah. You’re looking at the Fri before Thanksgiving week. Crowd levels will be High… yes it’s still possible to do them if they release GOTG from the VQ but you’re looking at 2-3 hour wait for FoP and GOTG IMHO if it’s not VQ.

It'll actually be the Thursday before Thanksgiving, but still a busy day I'm sure.

Ah, lol you literally said Thursday. Where is my head today 😆 Still busy but not a holiday madhouse yet, I was there that time last year. Prob looking at 2 hours for popular attractions then. Might have a shot at F&W being open fwiw but dates haven’t been announced yet.

My original thought was to go to MK to see the new Tron attraction while in town. Then one thing led to another! One of the group has never seen the Pandora area at AK and we thought why not go there so he could experience it. Then if we had hoppers anyway, let's also head to Epcot to take in a new attraction there too. In the way back past we have been known to do 4 parks in one day. BUT that was before the park hopping restriction (2 PM) and they still had the old FP system (which we rocked, by the way!) and it wasn't a bunch of new rides we were trying to do.

They are pretty much leaving it all up to me to figure out. Maybe I'll just decide to do the Christmas party and save the other stuff for another trip more focused on Disney. I wonder how Tron will be handled during the parties...
