3 pairs of Minnie ears and Stalking Thumper~My first TR 5/6-5/11 *UPDATE 6/13, pg 14*

Boooooo to the trip report almost being over :sad1: You'll have to post a link to your PTR when you start it so we can follow you over there. As far as TOT and RRC go, I love them too! They are two I can ride over and over, unlike some of the other roller coasters and thrill rides at Disney, which are great once or twice and then start to jostle you too much.

I can ride ToT over and over again, no problem...RnRC I can do a few times before it starts giving me a headache! My head just bangs back and forth between the shoulder harness and I can only take so much of it! That's my only problem with that ride! And I will definitely post a link to my PTR once I start it, I just want to get this finished up first! I can't wait to start it! :cool1:

ToT looks awesome at night! Koby loves that ride & loved the pic! He wants to ride it at night & hopefully we can get a pic in front of it at night for you! Sucks that you waited too long to get yours :(

Awww, so glad Koby liked the picture! :) Riding it at night is so much better than during the day! Hope you get a good picture in front of ToT, I'm so sad I didn't get one, but there's always next time! It's gonna be one of the first things I do! :thumbsup2

Well, personally, I think you went out with a bang on your last night!!!!!! Awesome pics of night time ToT. How great that you got to ride it three times without any waits. I love your fav picture and I like the one with the green lighting on the ToT sign. Very cool.

Boo to the man who continued to argue his way onto the RnR. That's so annoying and selfish.

Looking forward to your last morning.

Thanks, I think our last night was pretty perfect too! I'm so glad you like my favorite picture, I love it so much, I almost want to frame it...I just wish you could see the background a little better, but my little digital camera is only capable of so much! :rotfl:

Yeah the guy who argued until he got on was annoying...my DH even said to the CM's "I wouldn't have let him on" and they just kind of sighed...I guess they see that a lot! :confused3

Hey jen! Sorry I’ve been MIA but I’m back to catch up!!

Great pic of ToT during sunset! So beautiful! So sorry that the CM let the man in when he didn’t have his key card! That kinda defeats the whole purpose right?

Wow! Great pics of ToT after dark! It is really creepy! LOL!

Awww I hate that feeling that your trip is over! I totally get the part about trying to soak in everything! LOL!

It’s ok, you have next trip to look forward to now!!

I know, I can't believe that guy did that! I've heard of it happening but I've never actually seen it! I don't like seeing that kind of thing happen in Disney! :rotfl:

I just love ToT when it's dark, if you couldn't tell! :lovestruc

I hate the last night of being in Disney World! It's sooo sad...in 2008, our first trip together, I actually cried walking through Epcot during extra magic hours...then when we came home I was in a Disney depression for months, until I convinced Brandon to go back the next year! :rotfl:

Wow! Those ToT pictures are AMAZING! :thumbsup2 I love that ride too, girl! And it's so cool that you didn't have to wait to ride it!

I know what you mean about trying to drag out the last moments of your trip by going to DTD. I always do that on my last night at WDW. Even if it's just hanging out somewhere at the resort, I just can't stand to go to bed because then I know it's really over!

Thanks, I knew you would like the ToT pictures! :cool1: I'm so happy I didn't have to wait in a line to get on, I love running through there like a little kid, going on over and over! It just reminds me of our first trip together, it was so much fun! :)

I can't stand going to bed the last night either! And this time it was especially bad because our flight home was SO early, and we had to leave the Beach Club SO early, I'm never flying home that early again! :rotfl: I actually kind of like ending my trip at DTD, I wish it was open a little later, at least 1 am or something! 11 is too early! :rotfl:

I love riding ToT during the night!

I hate that I just discovered your TR, and now, it's almost time for it to end!

Yay another ToT after dark fan! :lmao:

Aww, thanks for saying that about my TR, when I first started I thought no one was going to follow it since I was so new to the TR part of the boards, and everyone is so nice over here! I'm glad I'm starting a PTR so I can keep talking to you guys, I hope you will all follow along on that too! :)

What AWESOME shots you got of TOT--I love them (it is my favorite ride in all of Disney).

I hate that leaving part too. I just finished up the Disney portion of our PTR. Although this year it won't be quite as sad because we are going to Marco Island after for a week and will be spending part of the time with a good friend here from the DIS (and the FOOD PORN QUEEN, MickeyNicki).

Thank you, ToT is definitely my favorite ride too!

That's a good idea, going somewhere after leaving Disney! If I had the vacation time, I'd do that too...actually, who am I kidding, I'd spend the extra time in Disney! :rotfl2:

I'm going to have to look for your PTR, I could swear I've seen it, but I don't think I ever subbed...:confused3

Oh my! ToT looks so creepy at night. Your pics are amazing!!

Thank you! I love my ToT! It seems like everyone else does too! I don't see how someone could NOT love that ride!

Well I guess it's finally here. The time to finish my trip report. This won't be a long update, or very exciting, for that matter. I just think it's necessary to finish it with actually getting home, since I started my TR with my packing day!

I'm not sure when I went to sleep our last night, but it was pretty late. The next morning I woke up very early. I went outside to our balcony and just looked outside for a while, hoping I would remember how beautiful the Beach Club was that early with no one around.

I took this with my phone so it's not the best quality, but it's from the morning before the sun was even up

IMG_0257.jpg

:sad1::sad1::sad1:

So sad to be leaving.

Unfortunately, it was getting to be time to wake up Brandon and get moving. I knew he would be too lazy to take a shower before we left so I didn't even bother leaving him enough time. I just woke him up and told him we had to go and he got ready pretty quickly.

We got all of our stuff together, took one last look at our lovely club level Beach Club room and left. :sad1:

We went down to the lobby to check out and no one was even at the desk, it was so early. Finally a CM came out and she was very sweet, and got us all checked out very quickly, and told us to come back soon, to which my DH replied "oh we definitely will" :):):) which made me SO happy! :dance3:

We put all of our stuff in the car and began the drive to the airport. I remember complaining about Jet Blue changing our flight home and how annoyed I was about it. If you're not familiar with Jet Blue, when you buy your flights online, you get to pick the seats you want. When I bought them, both flights had 1 row of 2 seats, the aisle, then another row of 2 seats. So I picked seats in the front of the plane for the flight down and 2 seats in the back of the plane on the flight home, both next to each other, in the same aisle, of course!

I got some email about a month before the trip that Jet Blue changed the time of our flights by like, 5 minutes, so for some reason, when I got it, I checked the seats I picked. I guess when they changed our flight home they changed the type of plane too, because this one had 2 rows of 3 seats! And it showed that the seats I picked were aisle seats, so we would be sitting across the aisle from each other! :scared1: I quickly changed them to a window and middle seat, but I knew someone would take that extra seat in our row and we'd be crammed in with some stranger for the whole flight. So driving to the airport, I was telling Brandon "watch it be some giant man who's gonna spill over into your seat" since there was no way I was sitting in the middle seat! :rotfl:

Boo, we're here. :sad1:

IMG_1162.jpg

We returned our car to Alamo, where Brandon proceeded to have this long chat with the attendant about the Celtics :sad2: and I was getting annoyed because we had to go! I didn't know how long any of the lines would be and I hate taking chances of being late when it comes to flying!

The check in line for Jet Blue was pretty long, which wasted a lot of time...and the security line was even longer! :scared1: In our previous 2 trips, we have never had to wait that long to get through the security screenings, it took forever...it was just a mob of people!

We went on the mini monorail and went to our gate, where they were already boarding! :scared1: That's one of the things I don't like about Jet Blue...they make you board soooo early! Brandon wanted to get breakfast and I had to go to the bathroom so we went to do those things and met back up right outside the gate...he ate his breakfast quickly and I brought mine on the plane with me (it was just a hash brown from Mc Donald's, nothing crazy!). Then it seemed like we sat there forever...until who sits down next to us? A giant man. Seriously. I saw him get on and I said "well, there he is, he's sitting in our row" Yep. At least Brandon is a good sport and can deal with these things better than me!

Finally we took off, and Brandon tried to sleep. Did I mention he had to work that night? Yep, he works nights, goes in at 2:30 and comes home at 11. I asked him if he minded coming home and going to work when I planned this Disneymoon and he said no...now he was complaining about it! He only had 3 days of personal time left until July, and there was no way we were going on our honeymoon in July, so we had to work with what we had! He was freaking out that he was going to be late, he's never doing this again, blah blah blah...finally he stopped complaining and went to sleep for a while!

Eventually, we landed in White Plains, NY, and we had to wait forever to get off the plane...where I learned a valuable lesson...don't book seats on the back of the plane! You have to wait for everyone else to get off! Finally we got off and went to baggage claim, which again, took forever...White Plains is a tiny airport, with only 1 baggage claim area for all the airlines...so if any other flight gets in when yours does, all the luggage goes on there and you just have to wait to find yours. :sad2:

Finally we got our stuff and raced out to our car...and paid $150 for parking. :scared1: It was a good thing we saved that, knowing it would cost a ridiculous amount of $$$ to park here, but OMG! If we flew out of Hartford, it would have been like, $70!

We got home pretty fast, compared to the drive there, since there was no traffic and no detours or construction going on. Poor Brandon only had time to take a quick shower and eat before he had to leave again to go to work. :sad1: So I was stuck home with nothing to do but unpack and be sad that our Disneymoon was over and I had to go back to work the next day. :sad1:

So that's it! The official end of my Disneymoon! I'm going to leave my comments about our trip until my next update, where I will show you guys everything we bought! But it was a great trip, we had a great time, and I can't wait to start my PTR so I can FINALLY talk about our November trip we are planning!

I'll do my last update with my souvenir pics tomorrow, then we can chat about that for a while until I start my PTR, where I hope I will still be talking to all of you! :dance3:

The link for my PTR is in my signature. Actually, I'd stay at Disney too. But since the condo in Marco Island is free, that's what we did last year and what we'll do this year.

Cell phone or not, your pic turned out pretty good of the view from the BC before the sun came up.

I'm sorry your trip is over, but you had a great Disneymoon and you are going back in November. :)

Look forward to continuing to chit chat through the "pics of your souvenirs" and your PTR.

The cell pic turned out pretty good! Sounds like you had a great Disneymoon! Can't wait to see the pics of the souvies!

Oh no! The trip is over! :sad2: I've been dreading this moment! But you had a wonderful Disneymoon and I am so glad you shared it with us! I can't wait to see your souvenirs and start reading your PTR!! :woohoo:

I have totally been there when your Disneymoon is over... it is a worse feeling than when a regular Disney vaca ends:sad1:!!! great TR

Kimi

Wow, that really sucks that he had to go to work that night! And here I've been complaining because our school is making us go back earlier than usual and I will only have one day off when we get back in August before heading back to work...now I'm grateful I have at least that! Looking forward to seeing all the stuff you bought! :thumbsup2

Love, love, love your ToT picture!!! I've never been able to ride it at night; we are usually waiting in line for Fantasmic (which will probably be the case again this year, too.) Depending on when the sun sets, I might try to get to ToT!

So sad that it's over! BUT, you must post those pictures of what you bought.

And $150?? Ridiculous! Fees for stuff like that are absolutely terrible!

Thanks, I wanted to go inside and get the camera to take a real picture, but I figured, the phone was good enough!

I can't wait to go back in November!!!! :cool1:

Thanks, our Disneymoon was great, the only thing that I have to complain about was that it was a little too short! At least I have a full week in November to look forward to!

Lol, I've dreaded this moment too, but now that I'm pretty much finished with this TR, I'm getting more excited for November! I can't wait to start my PTR! :)

It was a little worse knowing our Disneymoon was over, more so than a regular Disney vacation, since it only happens once! I'm hoping we can renew our vows down there in a few years since I didn't get my Disney wedding! :)

Ugh, yeah, it's ridiculous that he had to work that night but he doesn't like to take unpaid days off. I guess he could have just called out that night but it wasn't really worth it! I didn't like going back to work the next day, that was annoying, usually when we go I'll have us fly back on a Saturday so we at least have Sunday to adjust back from vacation mode, but this time, it just wasn't possible! :confused3

Love, love, love your ToT picture!!! I've never been able to ride it at night; we are usually waiting in line for Fantasmic (which will probably be the case again this year, too.) Depending on when the sun sets, I might try to get to ToT!

You should definitely try to ride ToT at night!!! You don't do evening magic hours at DHS? I can't miss those, I love being there at night!

Yeah $150 to park was insane...it's because it's a small airport right outside of New York City so I guess they think they can charge that and no one will have a problem with it! :confused3 Probably why I will never fly out of there again unless someone can give us ride to and from the airport! :)

I will be back in a little while to post my souvenir pictures! :)

Nope, never been to EMH at DHS. It normally works out that we have an ADR or something else to do on those nights. This trip, we'll be at MNSSHP on their EMH night. It was the only way I could work out MNSSHP and Fantasmic with the day we wanted to go to F&W Festival at Epcot, which is a must do for us this trip since we've never been. I've done morning EMH though, but that's it.

Oh, that's too bad, I don't think I could miss EMH as DHS!! Our first trip in 08, they did 2 showings of Fantasmic, one was during the regular hours and the next one was during the magic hours, so that's how we did both! And we didn't even wait for a seat, we just walked right in! I really need to do an October trip for the F&W festival and MNSSHP!

Souvenir pictures!!!! Yay, I just love buying stuff at Disney! I told myself I wouldn't buy too much but...well, I think I might have went a little crazy, as usual! :)

Just so you know, I took all these pictures after our trip, some I took a few days after we got home, and some I took a few days ago! I wish I took pictures when I bought this stuff but...another thing to remember for next time!

Up first are our lovely Mr. and Mrs. Mickey mugs

IMG_1171.jpg

I LOVE these, and I'm pretty sure they were only $10! I wasn't sure about buying them at first, but then I figured, yeah, why not, it's the only time I will be able to buy wedding stuff at Disney so I might as well! :)

Next...a pizza cutter, a Marie keychain and a wedding magnet/frame!

IMG_1173-1.jpg

I'm sure you're wondering why a pizza cutter, out of all the kitchen stuff they have...it's because it's the only thing I registered for that I didn't get at my bridal shower! I thought this was cute, so why not? I love the magnet, again, I needed to buy wedding stuff while I could, and the Marie keychain is adorable. Although I'm not sure if you're supposed to use it like that or put a picture of your own cat in there, it almost seems like you can. I like it as a Marie keychain! I have 3 cats, I wouldn't be able to decide which cat to put in there so Marie is staying! :rotfl:

A wallet

IMG_1174.jpg

I thought this was cute and I needed a new wallet so I got it, but I don't think I really like using it. I feel bad because I bought it in Disney, but I just don't like the part inside where all the cards go, it's hard to get them in and out easily. :confused3

I LOVE this, this might be my favorite thing that I bought

IMG_1176.jpg

I wanted some kind of picture or poster from Disney to remember our Disneymoon, and at one of the stores in DHS they actually had drawings of Mickey and Minnie as bride and groom, but they were like $60! Just for the drawing, it wasn't even matted or framed or anything! So I decided on this, on our last night at DTD! I almost didn't get it at first because it says something about the Poly on there, but oh well. I got it because they are on the beach together and we stayed at the Beach Club! It would have been more fitting if we stayed at the Poly, but I really love it, even if we didn't stay there!

*Sigh* Please excuse the mess in the next picture...and the cat in the upper left corner making an appearance!

IMG_1178.jpg

I took about 10 pictures of this beach towel that I bought and my cat thought it would be funny to keep pouncing on the towel and trying to bury herself under it. I can't blame her, she's still a kitten even though she looks big, she's not even a year old, and her name is Belle, so of course she loves Disney stuff!

I got this towel because I wanted a Beach Club resort towel, but I guess they don't make them anymore so I settled for this one, since it had a beach picture, and I love the Pooh characters!

Had to have this mug!

IMG_1194.jpg

I love these seagulls, and I really wanted the snow globe, but I didn't feel like getting it shipped, so I got the mug instead! I'm glad I did, it's adorable!

This shirt is Brandon's

IMG_1195.jpg

He was trying to decide between this shirt and the monorail shirt, and decided on this one, because he thought the monorail shirt was lame. :sad2: I love the monorail shirt, I might get it in November! He can make fun of me all he wants! :)

He got another shirt too, one with Donald on it, but I don't know where it is so I can't take a picture of it! :confused3

My shirt

IMG_1196.jpg

I have such a hard time picking our shirts in WDW, there are just too many to pick from, so I just said that I wanted a classic Mickey shirt. I love it, but the material is so thin that you can see through it and you would have to wear a shirt underneath, something I don't want to do in 90+ degree weather! :)

You guys have seen these throughout my TR, but I couldn't leave them out!

IMG_1198.jpg

My Minnie ears! I'm really upset that I will never get to wear the bride ears again, unless we go on our anniversary sometime I guess, but I doubt that will ever happen. Brandon said he's never going again in May. :confused3 :rotfl2:

Last picture!

IMG_1199.jpg

One more wedding thing, and it had to be an ornament! I have to buy myself at least one ornament on each trip, although I usually buy like 5, I limited myself to one this time, and it had to be a wedding theme! On top of the ring they're sitting in it says 2010, so I love it! And the cat decal is for my car, I don't have kids yet, so I decided to get one cat to represent all 3 cats for my car! Now I just have to put it on! :)

That's it for the pictures! I did get Mickey earrings but I can't get a good picture of them and Brandon got the black Mickey crocs while we were there but he wears them to work so I never got a chance to take a picture of them! I'm sure there are a few other little things I forgot, like the magnets I got my mom, but that's the majority of everything!

I am going to comment on a few things about this trip but I want to do that in a separate post, I'm just not sure if I want to do it tonight or tomorrow (I know, what a dilemma, right? :rotfl2:)! Maybe I will wait til tomorrow and just wrap everything up then then start my PTR on Friday, where it will almost be exactly 5 months til my next trip! :cool1:

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the souvenirs. I have that same beach towel. Our oldest son and his "then" girlfriend bought it for me when we took them for his high school graduation as a thank you gift for taking them to Disney for nine days. Mark has the Mine Mine shirt--it's his favorite shirt in the world.

I so enjoyed your trip report. Thank you for sharing your Disneymoon with us.

And don't forget to stop over at my PTR when you have a minute.

:rotfl: You never told me about the giant man on the plane. Figures!

I can't believe Brandon went from refusing to go to Disney a few years ago to someone who goes 3 times in one year and owns Mickey Mouse Crocs. Well done!

I loooooooooove the souviners, especially the mugs!!!! Hmmm....I never got to wear the bridal ears, wonder if I can this trip since we are going to celebrate our 10th anniversary????

Great souvenirs. I try to get something for my kitchen every trip, the pizza cutter may need to come with me. I have a nephew getting married this year the ornament would be great for their first tree.
