3 Nosey but Fun Questions

Are you up there? I am heading into Eldorado, not hills just the. Tiny town.hope you guys stay safe!

Several crews every day. I am not personally up there. I assign the crews. Everyone is supposed to be ready for stories like this.
Guideline used to be to have a bag of stuff for stories like this with:
1)Change of clothing
2) Snacks
3) Water
4) $200 cash (this was back in 1980, so that was a lot more money then, and of course debit cards didn't exist yet)
5) Roll of dimes for pay phones (no cell phones yet)
6) First Aid kit
7) Fire retardant shirt and pants

1. You might beat me. Stuck at light.
2. $100 and some small bills/change.
3. White wine, preferably sauvignon blanc.

1. "did you guys figure out your plan for this weekend?"
2. NONE! I never carry cash and always need it...
3. Pina colada.

I haven't carried cash since I got my first debit card in 1993. I'm not likely to start now. Working night shift in Detroit makes it highly unlikely that I ever have more than 52¢ on me at a time. Not the safest place to carry large amounts of money on you.

The lack of cash comments really hit home this past week. I have had several staffers stuck without food because either all debit/credit systems were knocked off line by the fire, or the small places in remote areas they were going to are cash only.

I was noticing the lack of cash, too. I am one of those people that never carry cash because I have my cash card. Most of my friends carry cash and from reading the posts it seems that I'm in the minority. I may have to start carrying at least $20.
