Planning to go on our first cruise 5/50/05 a three night. I have to admit I'm still a bit unsure. My interest is peaked and because of all the wonderful things I hear from others I decided to try.

My question - Is the 3 night (Port Canaveral,Nassau,Cast Away Cay) a good run?

Thanks, I needed that. Great now I'm thinking maybe we should do the 7 night cruise. I'm worried about being sea sick too. You see another thing is that if we love it like I think that we might there is no way I'll get my family all the way back to Fl for another cruise. Wait! This is the fun part, right? The planning......HaHaHa. Thanks again,

Brad

DON'T waste your time on a 3-day. Do a 4 or 7-day.:hyper: Don't worry about getting sick, there's to much to see and do. Have a GREAT time.:wave2:

If I were springing for plane tickets from CA to FL, I'd definitely do the 7 day. We LOVE the sea days.

They have meds for sea-sickness but my DH who almost got sick on an AIRCRAFT carrier was fine on the Magic without any meds and my DD thinks it's the most fantastic place to work in the world...and she's probably right.::yes::

Go ahead and do the 3-day!
No it's not as good a value as the 4-day or 7-day, and (duh!) you can't do as much. But it's easier to fit into a vacation budget, more manageable for a short trip or for combining with other activities on a longer trip.
Don't let the 7-day fanatics get you down!;)

I have read this thread with interest as I have just booked a three day cruise on the Wonder. Our prior cruise was a 7 day Magic cruise which was totally awesome! I am now wondering if I should stick with the 3 day cruise (with the REAS Package), or scrap it for the 4 day cruise WITHOUT the REAS Package. This is a surprise treat for my husband and son... so the budget is pretty tight since I don't want DH to figure out where the money went, before the cruise!! One good thing in our favor is that we live in Florida so at leaast we don't have the added expense of an airfare. So... should I do the 3 day or 4 day???? Your thoughts are appreciated!!

We started with a 3 night just to "get our feet wet" too. 4 kids and the grandparents and we thought we were doing something really far out! I just wasn't convinced that cruising would be something that we would like. Oh my----we were rebooking by the 2nd day! Then we did a 4 night because it worked into our budget/time. Then this year we did a 7 night and WOW! So guess what---we are booked on the 14 night Repo now. But this thread caught my eye because we have a few extra days when we are down in FL this fall and my hubby and I have booked a 3 night --surprising the kids. I just hope that they won't be disappointed to go for only 3 nights. I think they would live on the ship!! I keep telling myself it is the time that works into our schedule and that it is like taking a boat ride to CC which is the BEST place in the world! But it is a better deal to do the 4 or 7 night. But I would GO FOR IT! Do the 3 night---see what you think. I was worried about seasickness too but it didn't happen. I was a little woozy at times but nothing bad. I understand the medicines have a lot of side effects which sometimes can be worse. Now that we are off the boat we miss the rocking. We are convinced now that cruising is for us! I just wish I could rationalize doing two a year! Have fun---you made a great decision!
