We checked into Ohana at 5.15 and just had a 5 minute wait before our buzzer went. We were welcomed in and explained how the restaurant worked, showing us the drinks at the bar, as well as the dessert, then took us over to where the meat was cooked. I thought this was a nice way to start the meal.

I wasn't sure what I was expecting, but the restaurant wasn't what I thought it would be at all, it was much biggger. I was absolutely thrilled to recieve a table looking directly over the lagoon, with an amazing view of the castle, it made me quite tearful!
Our server came over and took our drinks order, coke for Simon, Apple juice for Evie and a Pina Colada for me.
While we waited for our drinks the salad and welcome bread came. I wasn't sure whether I liked the bread or not, but the salad was delicious and I'm not really a salad eater! After drinks the wontons and wings arrived, they were both nice but I preferred the wings.
The food was flowing quickly, I've heard lots of negative comments about Ohana recently, but our server was very attentive and we were constantly offered more meat. We had beef, turkey and pork (I think) as well as shrimp which was the real hit of the meal. I don't really eat much fish and have never wanted to eat it, but Simon persuaded me I really should, so I did, and it was just so good!
Evie didn't really eat anything this meal, our server noticed and asked us if he could get her some fries to snack on, which was kind and it meant she actually consumed something!
I was far to full to appreciate dessert, but it was delicious and Simon ate loads of it, I've no idea how he had room!
Evie had a ball at this meal, she loved the coconut races and parade, it was definately a highlight of the trip seeing Evie enjoy herself so much!
Overall, we really enjoyed this meal. The view was to die for, the sevice very good and the food very tasty.
