yikes! Tomorrow is my ADR day too! Hope we get what we all are wishing for!
How did you do??

Hi Roxanne! I found you! So glad you decided to do another report.

So, so glad you found your way over here. Aww, thanks about the family comment. I will try to meet up with you guys, I just need to find our when everyone is leaving & what not because I think some are leaving shortly after my arrival but some are staying a bit longer. Right?

ADR's went great - will tell more in a minute....

Okay....now for the results of my ADRs....:rotfl:

You'll never guess what I done!!

I woke up called right on time. I used the toll free number & called on my house phone. :thumbsup2 Great. Then I get a crazy idea that maybe I will get through faster with my cell calling the regular number. So, here I am with a phone at each ear. :smokin: Am I cool or what!! Haha - well then I realize I didn't know if I turned the alarm off & I didn't want it going off & waking the kids so I go quietly turn it off & go back sit on the sofa when.... my chin hits the house phone & disconnects it. OMG I've been on hold for over a half hour on that line!! I was so mad at myself!!
So I just call back & finally after an hour of holding they answer on the regular number!! Yippee!!

I got everything I wanted within really close time frames too. I had to swap 2of the ressies but it made no big deal because both days we will be at MK. And I did drop WPC & added GFC.

So....one thing down - lots more to go.....lets get this thing going....:moped:

Congrats on getting what you wanted!!

You should have gotten a picture of you with a phone at each ear to show how a true DISer makes ADR's! :rotfl2:

I didn't have any more free hands :rotfl2: I was hoping to be off the phone by 7 my time so I was trying anything. But hey....it worked, sorta, I guess....;)

We've got the place to sleep....We've got food all covered....

Now, what are we going to do while over there? :confused3

Well, yeah, there is the obvious BUT this time we're going to do things a little differently. ::yes::

We always purchase park hoppers with no real good reason. We usually go to a park & spend the whole entire day there. Maybe on our last day we would jump around, do our favorites.

Well, last year we discovered a new thing - NAPS!!!

And you would not believe the difference that small word made to all of us.

So, this time, I'd like to schedule a few more of those in. Perhaps, visiting a
different park afterwards.

Not only that this time, I think I'd like to go to a water park. In all the times we've been to Disney, we have never stepped foot in one of these. Now, get this straight. I will not like it. I hate water parks. I hate water. But I LOVE  Disney and will try it. I know the 3
guys will enjoy it. I only hope its not too cold but I have that covered too. If its cool, we'll play mini golf instead.

And since we'll be purchasing the water park option, I think it includes Disney Quest. Which again we've never been. I know Steve & Taylor will get a kick out of that place. Matthew will be too young to enjoy, so after we go make a stroll through it; we'll ditch the 2 older guys & head out for a little shopping. ;) I am sure the other two will not mind, they just so love to shop (yeah right!!)

My attention perked up when I saw this word! One of my favorite things to do in Disney World is SHOP! Mostly I window shop, because my bank account insists on it, but I buy enough to keep us both happy. :)

I just love, love, love to look at the hundreds and thousands of aisles and shelves and displays of all things Disney! I actually take a lot of pictures of things in stores, so that I can even enjoy them after I get back home.

I'm sure I get funny looks when I'm taking a picture of a whole row of Goofy cups, a display of earrings from three different angles, or a shelf full of neatly aligned Minnie Mouse plush dolls, but I really don't care. I enjoy looking at them later on and dreaming of what I might get to buy on the next trip.

Hi, we are going around the same time we are Dec 7-13 staying at WL. I did my ADR's today. I have a 4 y/o and 1 1/2 y/o girls. This will be my wife and I's first trip as adults and our kids first trip ever. Ironically wife and I where both there in 1984 and have not been back since, we are very excited! We are from NJ, and airfare is right now $1400.00 for all of us so we have decided to drive, if the airfare goes down and gas still goes up we may change our minds.

Here is our ADR's that I booked this morning:

12/08/08
B - Crystal Palace
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique
D - Chef Mickey's
12/09/08
B - Akershus
MVMCP
12/10/08
D - 1900 Park Fare
12/11/08
B - Hollywood & Vine
D - 50's Prime Time Diner
12/12/08
B - Cinderella's Royal Table

Oh well got to run, will check back to see what else you all have planned.

Glad you got what you wanted on your ADR's Roxanne!

Great idea about the water park - I'm not a big water park person either but would love to try one of the Disney ones. The weather could go either way so its good you have a backup plan.

Shopping - ah....gotta love it. :lovestruc (And not just any shopping, Disney shopping) You know, usually DH is with me & I know he'd freak of me taking some of those pics you mentioned but this time....:stir: I will be able to. I just love the Christmas store!! I mean I like alot of the stores but thats my favorite.

Isn't the price of flying crazy? But then the price of gas is up there too. Something needs to give with all that!

So, I am gonna comment on your ADRs. Hope you don't mind ;)

We ate at CP for dinner last time & didn't like it at all. Breakfast looks so much better IMO.

We have eaten at CM for dinner before too & it was good. This time we are trying it for a breakfast though.

The only other one we've eaten at is 50's & we LOVED that one!!

And of course there is MVMCP - gotta see that!! We are skipping it this year but we went last year. We tend to change things around a bit every time.

Now, don't be surprised if the kids get scared of the characters. When we brought my oldest for his first trip, he was around the age of your youngest & we had quite the experience at CM!! But kids are different & maybe yours will be alright. My younger son was fine on his first trip. But just incase, get the video camera ready ;)

I know you all too well & like me, though not liking water parks, you'd gove anything a try in Disney. :goodvibes

Oh, 1 more new thing, but you gotta keep this a secret, so Shhh....
;)

We will be going to Cirque on the first night we get there - get it? :goodvibes

Need a hint??

Ahem....Anniversary.....Steve loves this type of stuff. However, I think this is something we all will like.

And I got great seats, I think. Last row on the floor - seats 1, 2 & 3 near the middle aisle.

Hopefully, Steve won't find out this detail of the trip until the morning of. I plan on giving him a box with memorabilia of the last 12 years & Disney deffinitely falls into that::yes:: , so I'll include that as the new memory.

Cheesy I know, but hey, thats me. :hippie:

No thanks for the comments, we are always open for suggestions.

Yeah I am really torn about the whole gas issue, I really like the idea of driving, and I know the kids will be fine. My DW's family is from Maine and we drive there and it takes 12 hours.

As far as our kids and characters I am not anticipating an issue, we live close to Sesame Place and go there quite a bit, and the kids love the characters (http://sesameplace.com/sesame/pa/index.aspx). But you never know with kids lol.

We will be at ASMu about the same time as you. We arrive on the 7th-16th. We were there last Sept. and loved it, other than we didnt do a preferred room and got really tired of the walk!! This year we payed the extra to get preferred!!

Cirque is amazing! :thumbsup2 I hope you can keep your secret.

Have you seen any of them before? I would love to see it again.

Yay :yay: on getting your ADR's Roxanne! It's always a good feeling - makes everything seem official! :thumbsup2

Cirque sounds amazing! I hope you can keep your surprise a secret! Fingers crossed!

And I agree with Michelle and you on the water park thing. Not a fan, but I would go for my kids if I had to. I might be on the sides in my shirt and capris, :rotfl: but if they were drowning, I would jump in! :worried:

Sara

You have a pre-trippie? Man, I am out of the DIS loop these days!!!! So, I'm a little late! Yay on your ADRs! On hold an hour?! BLAH!!! I'll have my fingers crossed for your airline tiks. I have mine for December, and I'm glad I hot it early. The boys are so cute. Getting so big. Can't wait to hear the rest of your plans and I'l glad your back on the boards! Missed ya!

Roxanne - love the anniversary surprise! I've always wanted to see cirque also. Love the idea of the little box in the morning with 12 years of memories - so sweet!

We payed the extra too - I remember certain areas being far away from the bus stop.

I haven't seen any - I know it'll be great from what everyone says.

You know, why I hate the water - I don't know how to swim!! Or thats why I am scared of the water shall I say but something tells me if I had to save my child, I might could - or let me rephrase - I would.

Yes girlie, I have a pretrippie going on here. :thumbsup2 For the airline tix, I tried getting them the same time as last year & the prices were already bad - but I'm sure we'll get something. I'm back, well never really left - just was quiet I suppose. :cool2:

Ok, so you don't think I'm cheesy or you're just cheesy with me ::yes::

In fact, today I was looking for a Dads day gift but found a cologne giftset that so said memory box. It is Obsession cologne, body wash, deoderant & something else & thats the scent he wore 12 years ago, Awwww...:lovestruc

congrats on cirque...that's something we have an interest in but can't fit in..of well maybe next time!

I am very new to this, I doubt it. Maybe next year lol, this is my first venture into discussion forums. I am so addicted to disboards, my DW calls it my gf.
