3 Generations! 2 Resorts! 10 Days! DxDp! 3000 Pictures! - Saying Good-Bye!

Ha! Posted at the same time - love your CR pics. I am sold! Can't wait to hear about Chef Mickey's. We had breakfast there last year - I did not love the food, but it didn't matter because we had so much fun.

:rotfl: I spent so much money in those shops near Chef Mickey's last year. :rotfl:

You're right about the food...but the kids love it!!! Very high energy!

I really think you were in our room or a room close to ours! What floor were you on again?

Floor 9, Rooms 4517 and 4518...perfect location!:thumbsup2

We're doing the Dream next June...can hardly wait! It will be the kids first cruise. Did you book a cruise on the West Coast? Doesn't Disney leave from a port out there?? I wouldl really like to take the family to CA one day and of course do Disney Land!! We could not go to CA and miss that!

The GF might surprise you...seriously. DD5 loves it...she is constantly saying she wants to stay at the hotel with the pretty red roof! They have a great pool area, too. We've eaten at all the restaurants at the GF and love each of them! The resort can get a bad rap for being :snooty:stuffy...but I don't see that at all.....decisions, decisions...WDW offers TOO MANY!

Oh, I'm so jealous of your Dream trip. I hope we will get to do it eventually. I will have to live vicariously through TRs until then. ;)

The Wonder is actually cruising Alaska now and leaving from Seattle. That means a 5-hour drive for us instead of a full day of flying, which makes it very do-able. I am very excited - I have never cruised before, and I am really looking forward to seeing the natural wonders of Alaska.

Hmmm, maybe we will have to take a little tour of the GF. We can get there by monorail or boat from MK, right??

I never get tired of seeing the CR; As usual, I love your photos! It's so calm and peaceful in the morning, isn't it? Usually only some CMs near the marina or pool and CMs busy setting tables, etc... at CM.

In December, when it's much cooler, steam rises in the morning from the pool. It's both eerie and beautiful all at the same time.

You must have gotten to the observation deck before the cleaning crew? I suppose they can't be everywhere at once. It's always so sad when guests don't clean-up after themselves or their children. I'm glad it was cleaned-up later though:thumbsup2.

What a sharp contrast it must have been to go from morning serene to Chef Mickey's bustling atmosphere!

DH wants to take an Alaska cruise...he went fishing there several years back and fell in love with it! And 5 hours isn't a bad drive at all! It takes us almost 5hours to drive to WDW....and honestly I shouldn't complain about that!!! Some people would give their right leg to be that close....I just hate driving/riding in a car!

Yeah...not sure what was going on that morning...the cigarette butts are what really bothered me:eek: How hard is it to put them in the place Disney provides? But like I said, the next time it was spotless:thumbsup2....still though...I think my favorite place to watch Wishes is on the Poly CL patio, sitting in my bathrobe:laughing:

Ok....I forgot to post this picture....

This was BEFORE 7am!!!!!:scared1: I had no idea that people got there this early for Chef Mickey's....I do realize it opens at 7am, but Holy Cow! I love early mornings, but not sure the kids' eyes would be open enough to eat!

Oh this makes me so excited for my trip!! I keep looking to see if maybe I should switch hotels (I can't help it...I'm a DIS'er, it's in my blood!) But then I see pictures of BLT/Contemporary and I get all excited.

:lmao: I know all about switching hotels!!! I do it every trip...no exaggeration! Which resort were you thinking about??? Do tell!!

I've always wanted to stay over at the Boardwalk, so I keep looking there. But the purpose of this trip to go crazy at the MK...so BLT is the perfect location...then I look at the Poly, and the Grand Floridian...oh, and then the Wilderness Lodge...but then I look at the price I got for BLT and stay there  I'm ridiculous... Did I mention we're thinking of moving to Florida?? We're looking at both the Orlando 'burbs, which would be awesome, Disney whenever I want, or the Space Coast (better for my fiancé's carreer, so we're leaning that way.) But the Space Coast is an hour and a half away...which means we'd still get to stay a night or two at Disney hotels in the future without seeming ridiculous...which I view as pretty awesome! :rotfl: I'd actually get to complete my quest of staying at all the hotels on property :lmao:

Anyway, also wanted to show you this link if you wanted the H2O products that they use specifically at the Disney resorts :) http://www.disneyresortcollection.c...gory1=Bath&category1Name=Bath&categoryLevel=0
