Our vacation starts Sunday! We are staying 1 night at the Regal Sun Resort at DTD (bid very low through Priceline), then DH and I will be celebrating our 4th wedding anniversary (which is actually today!) and my birthday at the Contemporary. We've never stayed there before and are ridiculously excited. We have a standard view garden wing room booked with an AP rate for 3 nights. I faxed our room request last night. Our requests are also on our ressie but I figure it doesn't hurt to fax too! We faxed to WL last year and ended up with a great upgrade, so I think we will always fax!
Right now we have ADRs at:
-Brown Derby 12/15 for lunch
-Raglan Road 12/15 for dinner
-Kona 12/16 for breakfast
-GF Cafe 12/17 for breakfast
-Cali Grill 12/17 for dinner
We were booked at the Wave for lunch but the menu changed and there's nothing there now that really appeals to us. We may go to the bar for a drink though just to check it out. We are still thinking about where to eat Sunday. Would love to try Ohana but it's full, as are most other restaurants. Maybe we'll try T-Rex if nothing better comes along. And then on the 18th before we come home, we are going to Roaring Fork at WL and taking our CS meal to one of the small fireplace sitting areas on one of the upper levels. Originally had an ADR for Artist Point but I would rather be in the beautiful lobby. WL is "our" resort as it's where we spent our honeymoon. We are really branching out by staying at the CR this year instead!
We are doing MVMCP on the 16th. I'm very disappointed in the weather forecast though; we are Floridians and would prefer it be colder out to make it feel more Christmasy. I'm really hoping for a last-minute cold front. It's December and I want it to feel like it!
We preordered the PP CD and I called and booked a resort session at the Poly for $25 on the 16th. Didn't see the offer for the $25 session on my confirmation email until I saw someone mention it here and went back and looked again. Talk about fine print! Very excited about having good pictures of us. Now I'm even considering a second session at WL. Maybe we'll see how the first one goes before deciding!
Now after today, I just have to get through one more day of work on Saturday (I'm a nurse) and the fun can begin!!
