3 Days! Just told kids!!!

Can't wait to tell them!!! We're traveling with another family so there's 5 kids ages 5, 8, 9,9,9. We plan to play a game of hangman with them 3 days before we go. The solution will be " WE ARE ALL GOING TO DISNEYWORLD ON THURSDAY!" I can't wait!! We're going to film the whole game.
We booked this trip last Dec. I can't believe we haven't slipped up yet!!

i am so excited for you. we did this last year for our kids then 3,8,10 and it was our best vacation yet. they didn't know until we drove into the parking lot. wish i could suprise them again but don't think they would ever believe us. can't wait to hear more about your kids reaction.

We also did this back in Jan. They knew they were going somewhere since they had to make up their homework for the week of school they missed, but had no idea where. My oldest DS 6 at the time figured it out during our layover in Atlanta when he saw that our connecting flight went to Orlando. They were dancing around the airport singing we are going to disney world!! I got it all on video tape. Have fun with your surprise and your trip.

I just gotta share. My daughter is now 24 and my son is 22. When she was 6 and he was 4 we packed our bags and told them we were taking a car vacation and just stop when there was fun stuff to do. We asked them if they would like to start our trip by having breakfast at the airport, small at that time, so they could watch the planes take off while they ate. When the porter started taking our luggage out of the car they both yelled, he's taking our stuff. We yelled April fools, we're going to Disney World. It was April 1st We will never forget their faces. You are making memories for everyone that will last forever. Keep us posted and have a wonderful trip.

Oh how fun! The hangman is a great idea!

I hear ya on keeping the secret! We booked in Feb for December (45 more days!) and our kids have no idea yet either! So hard but so worth it for the suprise I think!

Please please please share their reaction with us!!! I can't wait to surprise DD(6) with her Mommy/Trip to MCMVP in 6 more weeks!!!!!!! She has no clue and we are not telling her until we arrive at the airport!! She is going to be shocked!!!

How exciting! We did that 5 years ago today. It was so hard to keep the secret, but so fun to see their reaction and shock - their faces were priceless! We told just minutes before we left! Have fun! We leave in 10 days, too for our second trip - the kids know this time...still exciting!

We're surprising DS too!!! We leave on Thursday for 3 days at WDW then 4 night Disney cruise!!! He knows he's getting a surprise, but has no clue as to what it is. He has a countdown chain with 3 links left. On Wednesday after school when he breaks the last link there's a treasure hunt for him with stuff he'll use on the vacation like gum for the plane, a journal, sunglasses, disposable camera, etc. Then at the end is the big treasure--a box with a tshirt I made that says 'Surprise we're going to Disney World" and under that will be the cruise tickets!!! It's been planned since last October and I can't believe it's almost here.

WE TOLD THEM!! They went nuts!! Jumping and yelling and screaming!!! Eventually they solved " We are all going to Disneyworld on __________" but couldn't get the last word. When they figured out "Thursday" they lost their minds!! They called their friends and grandparents to scream it into the phone. My ears are still ringing! They were hugging and yelling!! We got it all on film. The adults were crying. It was worth holding it in for so long! Now they get a few days to look forward to it and we leave!! Can't wait.
