So; I originally planned for 5 days in the parks (1 day at each park + 1 extra day at MK)...

Long story short, I now have to cut it down to 3 days

I have a 6 year old daughter who likes rides and wants to meet characters (we have 2 character meals scheduled)... and my husband and I will be going.

Would you do...
2 days at Magic Kingdom, 1 day at AK?
Or
1 day MK, 1 day AK, 1 day Epcot?

I'm so torn! ANd please share WHY you recommend! This is our first time, by the way!!

** park hopper is not an option! I don't want to pay that much! Haha

Thanks!!!

First instinct is 1-1-1 (choice "B") - but it would also depend on where the character meals were scheduled, to minimize travel time, and whether you were coming back anytime soon.

Character meals are at resorts on non park days! They don't have an impact (-:

Never forget about Epcot. Always a great park to go to. Do 1 day MK, 1 day AK, 1 day Epcot

The first time we went as a family was for my older DD's 5th birthday and the second time my second daughter was 5 1/2. So somewhat close to your daughter's age, and were interested in the same things.
If you're doing two character meals I think you can probably avoid Epcot. That was their least favorite park (even though it's by far my favorite!). The one benefit was being able to meet a lot of characters. However it feels less ride-oriented than the other parks and there's a lot of walking between things to do. MK for a first timer is positively magical and there's something new and exciting around every corner.
I just asked my 11year old her opinion and she said definitely MK two days! She said that's where all the fun stuff is. AK is a good one day park, especially for your DD's age. The animals are a lot of fun and the shows (especially Lion King) are great. Finding Nemo is amazing - unless it's changed it's performed with puppets. The only scary parts were the sharks and when they go into total darkness and meet a scary fish.

My kids were 4 and 3 our first trip and we only did MK, they absolutely loved it! So much so we went back one year later (5 and 4) and did all the parks. Their favorite was MK both times hands down! They liked Epcot but were disappointed when they couldn't ride test track over and over! I would not hesitate to do 2 MK days and 1 AK day!

Edit to Add...you can always plan on 2 MK, 1 AK and if you get everything you want finished on your first MK day, switch the final day to Epcot!

If you decide to not do mk twice after being there the first day I personally think Hollywood studios would be better then Epcot. Everyone always says everything is closed but it's really not especially for a 6 yr old.

You have:
Toy story mania
Tower of terror
Rockin roller coaster
Beauty and the beast show
Star tours
Frozen show
Indiana jones show
Little mermaid show
Olaf meet and greet
Fantasmic
Disney jr show (if she isn't to old for that)

All those attractions and shows alone could take a full day to do at studios and that's with leaving out the extra Star Wars stuff. So my vote is mk the first day ak second and if you feel like you saw what you wanted to see at mk do studios instead of epcot

I vote 1/1/1

My DD8 loves Epcot, and has since she was 5 when we went the first time. She loves WS, with the Kidcot stations, Agent P's, and all the snacks! She loves all the rides except Spaceship Earth. We spend more time at Epcot than any other park.

I'd say two days at MK and a day at DHS or AK (if she likes animals/zoos).
DHS, while very Star Wars focused, has a lot of kid-friendly shows and a lot of meet and greets.

Epcot, I just feel, is for older children. It has a lot of walking and most kids find World Showcase boring with a capital B.

My daughter is 8 (first visit back in April) and she would 100% skip EP and HS each visit if she had her choice at this age.

I would do 2 days at MK and 1 day AK because those have the most kid friendly things and those are the best places to make special memories. My daughter still talks about all the fun rides at MK and the animals at AK. Plus she loved the shows and rides at AK (Plus the playground).

Plus nothing beats taking the boat into MK and seeing the look on your child's face when they see the castle for the first time.

My daughter didn't say one word about walking around MK and AK but walking around EP wasn't fun for her. Plus at least for my daughter she couldn't care less about all the different countries and she's not into Star Wars at HS.

MK has so much to do it honestly requires 2 days and i'm sure they will find rides they love and want to try again before you leave.

I would recommend doing 1 day MK, 1 day AK, and 1 day EPCOT. There are tons of characters at EPCOT and that could be the focus of your touring there, plus Soarin', Nemo, Frozen, and Gran Fiesta Tour are great for that age.

I would do 1 at MK, 1 a AK and 1 at Epcot. I'd get a hopper if I could so I could bounce back and forth if I so desired.

I would start with doing MK on your first day there. See how it goes and if DD want's to go back. If she really likes it and wants to go back, then you can go for a second day. I would do AK and HS as the other parks. I would skip EP at this time. I think HS has more kid friendly stuff right now.

Have a great trip!

I think without hoppers and it's her first time you should do 2 days at MK and 1 at AK. If you decide not to do 2 days at MK then I think that is a hard toss up between Epcot & HS. Either way she will have a fantastic time.
