Hi everyone, I have my child who has been granted a 3-day visit to Disney World through Make a Wish with her siblings. My kid's ages are 12,10,7. My daughter, who the trip is for, is 10. She says she's interested in "fun rides" like roller coasters or anything exciting. Her brothers like thrill rides, except the youngest, is only about 43". I believe we have some access to getting in front of the line. I still don't know what days they're allowing us to go, but if we can choose, what days would you recommend? Mon-wed or Thursday-Sat? The family would like shows and sit-down dining. On the first day, sit down-dining for lunch; on the second day, sit-down dining for dinner; and on the last day, sit-down dining for breakfast. Thank you for your help.

Generally speaking Mon-Wed is less crowded. Is she into princesses?, if so do CRT for lunch at MK on day one. On day 2, head to DHS and then Epcot - so many options for dinner at Epcot, day 3 head to AK in the morning recommend tusker house breakfast as a character breakfast. Not sure of how much time you have on day 3, but you might be a able to return to MK in the arvo/evening.

Regarding front of the line access -

I have been at Animal Kingdom meeting characters outside a few times when a cast member approached me when I got to the front of the line. They asked if it would be okay if a Make A Wish family cut in front of me. The Make A Wish family would be waiting on the other side of the character.

I always say yes. Last time I said, "Of course. How could I say no?" and the cast member said, "You'd be surprised." So apparently some guests are jerks about it.

I generally agree with this. I would say that AK only has a couple thrill rides. I'd consider their opinions on the first 2 days in MK/DHS/Epcot before blowing a day in AK.

Your movements between parks will be enhanced by Hoppers.

Considering I have seen fully grown adult men throw tantrums at CM's when a ride is closed down due to technical difficulties... that doesnt surprise me at all.

Thank you for the reply! She was when she was younger, but not so much now that she’s older. We’re from CA, when my daughter was about 4 we did the blue bayou restaurant that’s located next to the pirates of the Caribbean ride in Disneyland CA. Any similar dining experience at Disney world for lunch or dinner?

I realize mon-wed are less crowded but the park hours are shorter. Considering we have line passes, should we go on Thur-sat for the longer park hours? Any must see shows/parades? Thank you again for the advice!

Any big shows/parades that are must see? Any dining that aren’t super expensive but have a nice experience?

Character breakfast at Cape May was nice, convenient to Pop via skyliner, did it on morning of departure.

Your Make a Wish arrangements / guidelines could play a major factor in your planning too.

Longer hours only matter if you are going to stay until the end. So if you are rope drop people, can you last all day - or do you want to take arvo break and return. If you are not going to last all day, then you will get more done when the park is emptier Mon-Wed. If you are not rope drop people, then maybe you do need the later park hours but again assuming your group can last long into the night.

There is nothing as good as the PoTC restaurant in wdw for eating while watching a ride. There are lots of character meals and experience meals - book early - if you can advise what she might like many people here can offer suggestions. My favorite experiences (with kids) Garden Grill has characters and over looks living with land ride, coral reef in a big aquarium, skippers has jungle cruise servers with their jokes, trex loud with dinosaurs, tusker house great food and characters, sci fi diner just cool atmosphere with old movies.

If this is the case, I’d get a park hopper option and do one day at magic kingdom, one day at Hollywood studios, and split a day in half between Epcot and Animal Kingdom!

As for dining Cinderella’s Royal Table is really good. Biergarten at Epcot might be fun as it’s great food and they have a show. Tusker House and Crystal Palace are also good character meals.

At Magic Kingdom, based on what you’ve said, I’d prioritize these attractions: Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, Big Thunder Mountain, Space Mountain, TRON, Carousel of Progress, and Mickey’s PhilharMagic. Also try to do Haunted Mansion, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, and Pirates of the Caribbean. I think those all fit what you’re looking for.

Hollywood Studios is likely going to be your favorite park as it’s full of thrill rides and good shows. You’re going to want to see: Star Wars Rise of Resistence, Rock N Roller Coaster, Tower of Terror, Star Tours, Slinky Dog Dash, Toy Story Mania, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Smugglers Run, Indiana Jones Show, Beauty & The Beast Show, and Fantasmic. Honestly, because of the high demand of attractions here, I highly recommend skipping a sit down restaurant this day and just doing counter service as it’ll save a lot of time.

Try to get a single lightening lane pass for Star Wars: Rise of Resistence, and get the Multi Lightening Lane Pass, and Pre-reserve 7 days in advance rides on slinky dog dash, tower of terror, and Toy Story mania.

Rope Drop Rock N Roller Coaster. Ride a second time if you wish. Then head to Minnie & Mickey’s Runaway Railway, and then Smugglers Run. Do Alien Swirling Saucers next.

Then somehow work in your lightening lane returns for Toy Story, Tower of Terror, Slinky Dog Dash, and Star Wars Ride. Pick out times to see Indiana Jones and Beauty and the Beast Shows, and work in Star Tours at some point as well.

Then 90 min before Fantasmic starts, grab dinner from a counter service restaurant and take it into the Fantasmic theater and eat while waiting for the Fantasmic show to start.

I’d recommend starting the morning at Animal Kingdom, and prioritize seeing Expedition Everest, Flight of Passage Ride, Kali River Rapids, DINOSAUR, Festival of the Lion King Show, and MAYBE Kilimanjaro Safaris. Head to Epcot in the late afternoon, and make sure you do Guardians of Galaxy, Soarin, and Mission Space. Spaceship Earth will likely be a fun one to do too. With your kids, I wouldn’t worry about the world showcase, unless you might want to see a few of the shows there, but the Lion King and other shows at Animal Kingdom will probably trump any show at Epcot for your family.

The very first thing my grandchildren always always ask
Did you book SCI Fi at HS … and I always try to get an early reservation because it can turn into along wait ,even with a reservation …
The second most favorite request is Biergarten at EPCOT !
Trust me Haha.
You might think you won’t like the food but it is buffet style And even my vegetarian daughter and granddaughter are satisfied.
One year, I cancelled Cinderellas Royal Table …big mistake …was not expecting that level of disappointment and had to book NYE dining the very next year !

I hope they help you with dining reservations .

I am always surprised when I hear how much children love the Carousel of Progress. Apparently it is interesting to actually experience this family thru the nineteenth century .I think it can help as a calming experience also.
And of course must go on the PeopleMover every time . Probably good for day & night experience.

Currently the AK is offering a special meet greet with the newest baby .
I think it only one day per week . Let me research the details …

My personal favorite for breakfast is at the Kona and not for the stuffed French toast but I love their pineapple macadamia pancake but it does have nuts in case of allergy ! But you might be able to order if made by the Chef .

Then again I recently had a piece of cake for breakfast at the new Cake Bake Shop on the BoardWalk …it is beautiful and good fun experience on so many levels!
Just walk thru the bakery side for the smells if you have the time !
Go really early cause it might be popular currently causing long lines .

Another good suggestion for good quick survival dining trick…especially with the new Connections Cafe at Epcot. Starbucks has really fast service even when the lines look really bad!
Starbucks offers a very varied menu and never disappointed .
A Starbucks is at every location, of course .
