3 day ticket dilema...

ok so we are planning to go in July. I was looking at purchasing the 3 day ticket deal on the Universal website (not even sure if this is a deal :) ), where you buy 2 days and you get 1 day free.

Anyway, we do not want to pay extra for the park to park option and we were thinking of doing 1 day in US, 1 day in IoA and then we are all fighting over which park to go back to....any suggestions, are we planning this all wrong?

We are staying at the Hard Rock so we will have early access to HP and front of the line.....are we crazy, should we just pay extra for the park to park???

We really would only need it for the one day so I am not sure if it's worth it?? Any suggestions from the pro's would be helpful!!

Some people like the option of park hopping and others don't...its entirely up to you and what your plans are. Staying onsite will help with wait times so if you like having the option of hopping, upgrade to the park to park. If you'd rather just do one park a day, stay where you are.

And check the expiration of the buy 2 get one free. I think that promotion ends at the end of June. So, you would be paying for regular pricing on whatever type and length you want.

Have a great trip! We like USO and I have an AP for it.

I personally would do park to park, but if this is your first visit you may want to dedicate a day to each park and then pick one for the 3rd day, but it would be nice if you had at least that 3rd day park to park

Sorry but I am confused :confused3. If I buy the 2 day get 1 day free now and I am traveling in July, will I not be able to us them, will they expire before my trip?

TIA

That ticket expires on June 30th. You have to read the fine print on the website.

And, since you are ordering online, you may want to sign up for a mousesaver.com newsletter, that arrives in your email box every 15th of the month. Newsletter has a link to undercovertourist.com, an authorized seller of discount tickets to most Orlando amusements. With the mousesaver link, you save a few more bucks/cents.

Note: Universal's website charges tax, undercovertourist prices are including tax and free shipping in the US. They send live tickets. I have been very pleased with them. Got my tickets within a week.

Another vote for UT. That is where I ordered our tickets from. And yes, they do send real tickets. No waiting at will-call lines or exchanging vouchers at the gate.

Be there in less than 30 days! Woo-hoo. I really need a vacation. Have been working 12-1/2 hour night shifts. Four on - one off.

We are going in June (25-29) prior to our Disney Cruise on the Fantasy - We will also staying at the Hard Rock. We went 2 years ago, and really liked the park to park. It was more flexible, just in case you changed your mind and wanted to do something else.We will have my 16 year old dd and her best friend, and who knows what kind of mood they will be in!! We wanted to give them the option to do either or both on the same day. Regarding the tickets, you really do have to read the fine print - the buy 2 get 1 free tickets - well...the first use has to be done on or before June 17 so they wont work for us, since we wont be there until the 25th. I am hoping that there will be a new promotion before we go - kind of waiting until the latest possible time to get tickets!

I love park-to-park and am not sure if I could "do" Universal well without it. And the main reason is butterbeer. Once we got a taste of it (I prefer the frozen kind; DS loves the cold...DH goes back and forth) we knew that when we're at Universal, we want one every day. And that means park-to-park, so we can go in the morning or the afternoon, to get our butterbeer fix. :)

And my fave FOOD in the parks is over at the Studios, the veggie burger at Richter's. So it's rock cake and butterbeer during one part of the day, and veggie burgers during another.

We're going the 27-28th of June before embarking on the Fantasy as well! We actually have a day at the end of our trip which is more than 14 days after our first use, so we ended up getting Costco 3-day park-to-park tickets! They were a little less than the buy 2 get 1 free deal, and are good to the end of the year. I figure that since they cost the same as 2 days, if we don't use the third day when we get back from the cruise, we're not really out anything.

They were $134/ticket at our Costco. I picked them up in Jan/Feb - had seen them in October of last year, but by the time we decided that's what we wanted to do, they were gone. I was *so* thrilled to see them again earlier this year that we snatched them up immediately! :cool1: If you're a Costco member, they usually have them where they have the gift cards.

The buy 2 get 1 free would work for you. It just has to be used by the 30th.
