I know Sept. is hurricane season...but the prices are great!:woohoo: We have a 3 day November, but I can switch to 4 day September. Is it a big difference in weather? And is it worth a chance of bad weather for an extra day??:confused3 What would you pros do? Also, I have never cruised, so don't shoot me for this question...but .....is a 4 day better? What do you do on the extra day??
thanks
Deb

I found September cruising MUCH preferable to November - as you know from living in the South, November can be either warm or cold. When we went, it was right after a front came through and it was cloudy and in the 60's - which meant I was very cold! Had perfect weather in September too!

If you lived up North I probably wouldn't even bother responding... they all laugh at me with my thin blood :rotfl: , but even my husband won't do a "cold" cruise again. Makes Castaway Cay so much more enjoyable too when you can swim all day!

I am from the North and as the previous poster stated, it doesn't count when it comes to defining cold. We loved our 3 day in November (first cruise) but it was too short. That one extra day at sea I think would have made a difference. I shy away from Hurricane season in travels so I wouldn't go September for anything. I understand the Captain would be good at steering you away from bad weather but I would hate to miss Castaway Cay due to weather. Why not 4 day in November? We decided to not take very short cruises again. We are taking a 7 day this Easter.

Our first DCL cruise was in November and it was just about perfect. Our second was a DVC Members Cruise in '05, in September and we were forced to come back to a different port because of a hurricane. Disney did what it could to help things go smoothly, but because of timing, we and lots of people missed their schedule flights. We got back home a day later.

I would also be very interested in those of you who have gone on cruises in September, the rates are soo great. My husband and I could go on a comparable priced cruise in the summer on other cruiselines, but I have only been on one other cruise (which was a Disney cruise in July 2001) and know that I wouldn't be disappointed. Please share with me your September experiences, the good and the bad!! :thumbsup2

It's not the cold in November, but the storms in September that has me worried! We are buying a house this year :cool1: and our budget is tight, so a 4 day in November for a family of 4 that close to Christmas can make a differnce to the Holidays for us. That's why I liked the price in September. What to do...What to do!!

Oh yeah...We will be driving in, so no flights to worry about:banana:
