3 day getaway...I'm going to Disney World! COMPLETED!

lets see....10 more days! Where does the time go?!

B and K officially have the 18th off from work so all our plans are a go! B and I are getting very excited for our trip to the Magic Kingdom while K is still not excited about the magic. I hope he likes Disney because the 3 of us are going on a 3 night Cruise next year (look for the trippie in the way future).

I have been slowly getting my stuff together and packing it. If I dont put something in my suitcase when I think of it, it will never get there. I'm very forgetful that way :confused3 here is some of what I have packed

finding nemo sunscreen, rain ponchos (as much as I love the bright yellow mickey ones I already have one and it has a rip in it. So in trying to keep this a budget trip we will use dollar store ones), extra batteries, past trip WDW tees and my paperwork to name a few things.

Also I'm going to pose a question to you all. How are EMH at Epcot? Ive done them before but I cant remember how they went for the World Showcase. Are the shops open during this time around the different countries? If you could let me know that would be great!

Stay tuned...More to come!

I know many if not all rides in WS aren't open during EMHs, but I'm not sure about the shops. I'd hazard a guess that they wouldn't be. Of course, I'm probably wrong!! :surfweb:

I just glanced at your sig and saw that you're going to celebrate your 21st birthday in WDW -- me too! Great minds think alike, I guess!!! :thumbsup2 :rotfl2: Actually, my sister and I are both going, to celebrate both of our birthdays (we're a week [and four years] apart; she's turning 25 and I'm turning 21).

ANYWAY... you must be so excited to be leaving in just over a week! Probably counting the minutes, like I would be. ;)

Thanks for the info on the EMH, my search feature doesnt work too well. Thats what I was afraid of though about the shops around the WS. I want to do one of those passports around the world so I will have to get it done before the official park closing.

I guess great minds really do think alike! My birthday is on the 12th so B, K and I will go on the cruise and I will head to WDW for a week after. I can't think of any better way to celebrate a b-day other than WDW! You and your sister will have a blast!!!

Yes I'm wicked excited only 9 more days!

Have you done the passport before? My BFF and I did it a few years ago and it was so much fun. Of course, we were the only "adults" doing it, but I loved it!

Nope I've never done it. I actually just heard about it maybe a couple weeks ago and thought it was a great idea. I love all the countries and would love to actually visit them outside of Epcot and since that may never happen the Epcot passport is the next best thing!

Thanks for reading my pre-trippie!!

8 days to go! 8 days to go! I'm about ready to jump out of my skin  I'm really excited to see B and K its been 2 months and I'm going crazy with out my bestfriend! Also what could be better than my BFF and Disney! :cool1:

So I just got off the phone with Disney Dining and I made a reservation for a late lunch at the Coral Reef on Tues! I'm wicked excited. I have a reservation for this restraunt in October but I just can't wait that long :lmao: . I've heard a lot of good things (and bad :confused3 ) about this place so I'm gonna check it out! I was just gonna try it as a walk in but I figure rather than gettin my hopes up and not getting in just make a ressie! The guy on the phone was so great and super nice :wizard:

Well I'm off to Homedepot and I'm recruiting my baby bro to go with me again! :rolleyes1 Hopefully we can get in, grab the mickeys, and get out before were seen!

Oh man I bet you're so excited! I love it when it gets down to the single digits and its ALMOST here! I just read your TR from last year and loved it! Can't wait to hear everything after you get back!

Hi and Welcome to my pre trippie!! Thanks for reading. I'm so excited as you can tell by my updates I just dont know what to do with myself.

Thanks for reading last years TR! I had to take the link off my siggy because I had too much "stuff" on it. :headache: But I'm glad you liked it!!

I see your getting married in December. You must be getting so excited for that and your Disneymoon! When I get married I hope my husband will want to go to FL for a Disneymoon, my dream is to get married at Disney but I dont know if that would ever happen with the prices of those weddings :scared1: .

Well I best be getting off the computer! Thanks again for reading!

So after 6 straight days in a row of work the pay off is finally here. (For anyone else that works retail knows that 6 days in a row feels like forever.) I'm leaving tomorrow! My suitcase is all packed and in my car ready to go.

My plan for tomorrow is to get to Orlando at 9:30 take magical express to Pop and see if my room is ready. If it is I will check it out and grab a snack at the food court. Then I'll head over to Epcot, I have a reservation for the Coral Reef in the early afternoon. I plan to spend some quality time in the world showcase since I feel I've never quite seen it all. So thats why I figure the Passport thing is a good idea. Ill spend my whole day at Epcot and tomorrow night is EMH so what a great way to spend the day at my favorite park!

I also just talked to B and she is more than excited for Wednesday and I think K is too! Were gonna head to Magic Kingdom all day. There going to meet me at 10am and the whole day is ours to do what we want when we want it. Nothing is really planned except for the park. We may head over to DTD at somepoint in the afternoon and then head back to MK for the night. Its gonna be some good quality time for the 3 of us:goodvibes

Thursday is up in the air at this point. I have all basicly all day to do whatever. My flight home isnt till 8:30 so ME probably wont pick me up till around 5:30 so that gives me at least 7 hrs of good park time! I guess you will have to read my report when I get home to find out what I decide to do! I probably wont even know till Thursday morning :lmao: .

I'm so excited and I know I wont be able to sleep at all tonite. I hope you all have a great next couple days and Ill "see" you all when I get back!

Oh my gosh, you're getting back tonight!! (At least I think you are... lol) I can't wait to hear all about your getaway!

Hello everyone!!! I'm back home and back to reality. I had a great 3 days down at Disney World. It was so good to see B and K we had such a blast at the Magic Kingdom on Wednesday.

My actual trip report will be starting shortly so stay tuned and Thanks for reading!! :goodvibes

My Disney princess alarm clock went off at 4:05 am and it was time to go! Now any normal day I would hate waking up before the sun but today was different. I was leaving for Disney! I went to wake my mom since she would be riding with me to the airport and taking my car back home. The ride was pretty un eventful. I love driving when theres no traffic. Heres a pic my mom took on the way to the airport.
3daygetaway707001.jpg

Now I got to the airport around 5 which left plenty of time for security and check in. I love living so close to an airport and not having to drive into Boston. So check in and security was a breeze and there was nothing to do but wait till my flight at 6:40. Then an announcement came on saying that they were going to begin boarding at 6:15 since everyone was checked in and we could take off early. There was only 43 of us on the flight! We were off and in the air by 6:25! Score!

We picked up even more time in the air and landed in Orlando at 9:10! After getting off the plane I called home to let everyone know I made it safe. Now it was time to go check in for magical express. Ok now I went to where ME has always been and guess what....It wasnt there!! :confused3 ME moved to terminal B. Well I guess if I had read the paper I would have known this. So anyway I headed over to terminal B to find the new check in location. A little side note MCO is HUGE! It's like a mall with all those stores. Anyway I followed a couple who also went to the wrong location and we quickly were greated by magical express cast members. When I went to the desk to check in the woman said "welcome princess ready for your magical vacation?!" At home its a joke in my family that I always refer to myself as a princess so I just had to call home after and let my family know I really am a princess! :lmao: Anyway after checking in I waited only 5 minutes and everyone was loaded on the bus!
3daygetaway707004.jpg

The bus seemed really long but I think thats just because I was excited to get to my hotel and check in!
Pulling into the gates...I'm Home!
3daygetaway707005.jpg

First stop on Magical express was Pop Century...Yes! I just love this resort and this was my third time there.
3daygetaway707007.jpg

I got to the resort at 10:20 and there was no line at check-in. My room wasnt ready which was totally fine since I had made some requests and I wanted to head right to Epcot. (*Tip- send in a fax if you have any requests for your room. They do a great job in working to make your stay great! I wanted a room in the 50's or 60's looking over the lake which I got.) The woman gave me my welcome packet and a number to call later to see if my room was ready. She wished me a magical trip and I was off to Epcot!

I headed out to the bus stop and I didn't wait long before my bus came. I made it to Epcot by 11:10 I was making great time! First stop was to guest relations to get my Anual pass. Since I will be going back in October, and in May I figured it would be cheaper for me to get an AP. So here it is!
3daygetaway707008.jpg

Now that I had my ticket it was time for the fun to begin!

Up next lunch at the Coral reef and adventures in the World Showcase!

That's awesome that your plane was allowed to leave early! You passengers must have summoned up some premature Disney magic. :wizard: You know, I've never actually been to Pop Century, but I've heard such good things about it. I guess if it's your third stay there, they must be doing something right. ;)

Excellent start, Cheryl! Can't wait to hear more!!

Great start!

It is my fantasy to board a flight early and take off early like that. That's incredible.

You're going to Disney World 3 times within one year?!? You=lucky, me=jealous.

Can't wait to read more.

Yea it must of been that Disney magic...too bad we didnt have it on the way home. Leaving early to get there made up for the way home. But more on that later.

Pop is my favorite Value...well thats not fair for me to say that. Ive been to 3/4 but close enough.

Great start!

Yea we were all excited to leave early. But only myself and another family were going to Disney.

I know I'm lucky to be going 3 times! I'm always saving my money to go. I would rather go to Disney on a vacation then spend my extra money on useless things that I dont need. Thats my justification of my trips. ;)

So after getting my AP I was ready to hit the park! First stop was to look for my leave a legacy tile. I looked all up and down those things but no luck. I have my tile address but for some reason I just couldnt find it. I think it was because I was getting really hot in the sun and I was getting fustrated. So I moved on. Maybe I will be able to see it in October.

Next I wanted to head over to Mouse gear to look around. This is my favorite store in Future World.
3daygetaway707009.jpg

I ended up getting my Epcot passport, a 07' tee shirt, YOAMD license plate frame and a pair of birthstone mickey earrings.

After my mini shopping spree I headed over to the Land to see how long the wait's were for Soarin' and Living with the land.
3daygetaway707020.jpg

The wait for Soarin was 90 minutes and Living with the Land was 40. I decided not to wait but rather to go see how long the wait was for the new Finding nemo ride. The wait time was 45 minutes but being a new ride I decided to join the line.
3daygetaway707011.jpg

3daygetaway707012.jpg

The line seemed to move pretty fast, didnt even seem like 45 minutes. The ride was cute but nothing I would be waiting 45 minutes for again.

After riding finding nemo I still had time before my 2:10 reservation at the Coral reef, so I headed over to Figment. It only had a 15 minute wait so I hoped in line.
3daygetaway707023.jpg

I never get sick of this ride. The song Figment sings is just way too cute and I couldnt help singing along.
After the ride It was time for me to head over to check in for my lunch reservation.
3daygetaway707026.jpg

I was wicked excited about this restraunt from all the things Ive heard on these boards and I have a reservation for October but I just couldnt wait till then so why not try it now?! I checked in and sat down and waited for my name to be called.
3daygetaway707027.jpg

After about 5 minutes I was seated. My table was on the third teir closest side to the tank. My waitress quickly came and I told her I already knew what I wanted (it doesnt take me long to decide when I'm starving). She took my order and then explained what some of the animals were in the tank.
3daygetaway707035.jpg

She quickly returned with yummy bread and my Pirate punch. (yes its a kids drink...but were all allowed to be kids at Disney right?!)
3daygetaway707033.jpg

And before I knew it My entree came...
3daygetaway707034.jpg

Grilled chicken, with jasmine rice and chicken broth sauce. MMMMMM I can't even tell you how good that was. It was gone really fast let me tell you!
My waitress came back and asked if I needed a dessert menu and I told her no I already knew what I wanted. I told her I had heard so many great things about the chocolate wave and that I just had to try it. She laughed and said thats the best dessert on the menu and I wouldnt be dissapointed. She quickly returned with this slice of heaven on a plate.....
3daygetaway707039.jpg

Oh my gosh that was so good! I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. My chocolate wave was gone in a record 2 seconds :lmao:. I sat for a couple minutes soaking in the atmosphere and paid my bill. Now I know some of you here on the boards don't like this place but I loved it! I can't say enough great things about the food, atmosphere, and wait staff. If you havent been there at least try it once, its amazingly good!

Up next World showcase and DTD!

Yum! Your food looks delicious.

I always have to restrain myself with shopping the first day at Disney World. If I just went for it, I would come home with a billion dollars worth of purchases!

Can't wait for more!
