3 day getaway...I'm going to Disney World! COMPLETED!

sorry everyone for the delay back on with a quick update!

So after riding pirates we were headed for Space mt or so we thought. B decided that she needed an ice cream all of a sudden and that if she was going to ride SM then she deserved one. So we stopped at:

I tried to convice B and K to get a dole whip but no such luck. Just pineapple ice cream. And since I'm not an ice cream fan...dare I say it...I didn't have anything.

So with B and K's ice creams in hand we headed toward SM, passing the crystal palace.

We made a stop in the hub so K could get a picture with his idol...

Up next we entered tomorrowland

I could tell B was getting extremely nervous and she wasnt talking too much. So I suggested we see the new Monsters inc. attraction.

Now I may be in the minority but I loved this! We thought the show was wicked funny and it brought B back into a good mood!

Now it was finally time for B to face her fear! I thought that SM was the worst of the 3 mts so I knew if I could get her on this she would be fine on the others. When we got there the wait was 60 minutes and our fast passes had expired. But I had heard here on the dis that most of the time you can still get on the ride with an expired pass. I explained this to B and K and told them to ack sly and just flash the pass to the guy checking them at the front. So off we went each one of us flashing the passes...Score we were in! I felt guilty passing all those people with a expired pass in my hands. We got to the next check point where the guy collects the passes. Well he started looking at them before us and I was nervous! we were gonna be caught and sent back to the front! I handed the guy mine...pass were in he didnt even look at it! Then K and then B. He looked at B's pass right after we walked off and he glared at us...he knew what we had done. I really did feel guilty I think that will be the only time I will ever do that. K came up with the name D.W.B for us (Disney World Bandits)! Leave it to him to come up with a name .

I kept telling B that she would be fine and that this was "the easiest of the mts"...ok I told a white lie...I'm a bad BFF I know.
Anyway so we get almost to the front and K makes an announcement that he has to pee...and bad. Why do guys always wait till the last minute?! I told him he would have to wait and finally we were next in line. we get in our space ship and off we went! B was screaming bloody murder the whole ride...well just during the drops and I was screaming and K was laughing so hard at the 2 of us that I serioulsly thought he was going to pee his pants! When the ride was finally over and we were heading back to the unloading dock I looked at B and she looked like she had seen a ghost. Ugh I would be hearing about this for a long time. I told her that she had been on the scariest mt of the 3 and I was so proud of her! She just laughed and said never again! I promised her that Splash and thunder were no where near as bad but she said she wanted to see them before she went on! K thought that was the best ride in the world. He was on such a addrenlin rush it was crazy.

After we got off and got ourselves together K announced that he still had to visit the restroom so off we went and then we headed back through fantasy land to plan what to do next.

Hey everyone! Thanks for sticking with me. I'm typing up the next instalment and it will be up tonite. I will be taking a break for High school musical 2 (Im a geek I will admit) then I'll finish it and it will be posted. Thanks again for sticking with me!!

We grabbed a snack and headed over to Splash Mt. It was time for B to face her fear. She already had 1 mt down but still feared the other 2. It was actually still a little early for our fast passes so we decided to see Country bear jamboree. B and K didnt find it too exciting. I guess they don't understand what a Disney classic is.

After the show it was time. We headed up to the entrance and we noticed that BTMR had fastpasses avaiable for 40 minutes from the time it was. We decided to grab one of those and hopefully as soon as we got off splash we could hop right on BTMR. So we grabbed those and headed to the fast pass entrance for splash. Now I'm glad we were within our time frame because this guy was intense. He looked at each fast pass for what seemed like 10 minutes. He even turned some people away because they had expired and early passes. So once we all passed B was starting to be silent again. She was nervous...K and I just told her we would be fine. Then all of a sudden came thunder. Nooooo! Could all of our waiting come down to us not riding. They made an announcement that "due to incliment weather in the future Splash mt may have to close. Till then they would try to get everyone on" I knew as long as we got on we would be fine. Closer and closer we got...score we were next in line! I asked B if she was sure she wanted to go because it was her last chance and she said she was going!

Here we go!!! B and K ended up loving the ride! and guess what...It never rained!

After we got off B was ready to hit the 3rd and final Mt! K and I couldnt believe that she was actually EXCITED to go on BTMR! We couldnt of planned it any better. As soon as we got off splash our fast passes for BTMR were valid. Nothing could hold B back at this point. We flashed our fast passes at the front and off we went. We were on the ride in about 10 minutes if that. B was so proud of herself after getting off, saying that she did all 3 and wouldnt let us forget it. And to this day she hasnt let us live it down!

After the last mt we looked at the time and it was getting late about 40 minutes till the parade. Now from past experiences I know that people line up WAYYYY early and today was no exception. I told B and K that if they wanted to see it we needed to head to main st ASAP.

We crossed main st and there were tons and tons and tons of people. We quickly took the first spot we could find and it turns out we were right in front of this place.

We just made it under the ropes and other people were getting mad because they were getting pushed down main street my the CM's. Rather than argue with the cm just head down the parade route and stop fighting. I just dont understand some people.

It was time for the parade to start! Now I dont know about all of you but I LOVE spectromagic!!!

There is just something about the music and lights that I cant get enough of!

B and K really loved Spectro and I'm glad we had that moment together...sappy I know!

Anyway after the parade was over we headed down Main st to the rose garden to grab spots for Wishes. K was realizing how late it was and how long it would take for them to get home. He really wanted to leave and B wasnt too happy. K had to work early the next morning and they had a 2 hr ride back to their house plus they still had to fight the crowds and head back to the parking lot. After K promised they would be back B decided it would be in their best intrest to leave. We said our good byes and we really had a great day!

I decided to stay and watch wishes since its my favorite fireworks show.

After sheding a few tears during wishes I gained my composure and headed to the bakery to grab a midnight snack for when I got back to the hotel. Now the main st bakery has the BEST chcolate cake in Disney and anywhere for that matter! I grabbed my cake and headed to some of the shops to let some of the crowds die down.

After about 30 minutes I decided to head back to Pop and relax since it was my last night. I couldn't believe how fast the day had flown by and I would be leaving the next day. Thats always such a sad thought. I ended up getting to the hotel around 11:30, showered and ate my chocolate cake listening to the radio disney channel, dancing around my room. I will admit I love those Jonas Brothers!

Then off I went dreaming about my last day in Disney and heading home tomorrow.

I'm quicky trying to play catch-up on your awesome trip and I am loving all the pictures! I'm glad you got to check out the BBB before our big trip in October! I also love your Mickey earrings, since I do have a pair just like them! I am so glad you also stayed for Wishes, even if your friends did have to go. I actually enjoy taking solo trip every now and then. It's still so Magical! I can't believe you passed on the Dole Whip! Is that even possible!? I have to have one every time we go to MK and usually I must wash it down with a cup of pineapple juice.

We really did have a great time! I couldnt of asked for a better day with my BFF and K! I really wished they could of stayed for wishes but I understood why they had to go. B said they saw some of the fireworks from the monorail.

Oh and I forgot to mention...K is actually excited to see the other 3 parks and even stay onsite! I think that was one of the most exciting things that came out of the day. He really is a Disney lover now

Thanks for reading Lindsey! I really can't wait for us to check out the BBB in October, It's going to be a blast!! Did you decide which hair syle you want to get? Thats so funny we have the same earrings I also go these hoop ones with little dangiling mickey heads on them. Love them both!
I guess we will have to stop at the Dole whip place in October. I've actually never had one so maybe that will be a good first time to have one!

Solo trips are fun. I'm actually hooked on taking them. It's always nice though when you have someone to share the magic with though. But on a solo trip its great to do what you want when you want it.

So I woke up on Thursday knowing that I would be heading home in a little over 12 hrs. I packed up my stuff, said goodbye to my room and headed to the lobby to check out. There was a couple of families checking in and I was wishing I was doing the same. After about 5 minutes I was all checked out and I dropped my luggage off at the holding area so I could get some breakfast and hit the parks.

One of the CM's did a cool chalk drawing on the sidewalk outside...

I headed into everything POP to get my usual pop waffle. I could seriously live on these everyday!

I decided to head out to the bus stop and go to either Animal Kingdom or MGM...which ever bus came first.

And the winner was....

I got to the gates early and was about the 5th person in line. I was 2 turnstiles away from the couple they chose to open the park. They were so excited so it was cool to see them get all into the opening! Once the ropes dropped I headed to The great movie ride.

That is such a classic ride and its a must do for every trip to MGM!

After that ride I headed to Star tours and actually rode it twice!

Now I've never seen Muppets 3-D so I knew that was a must...so off I went!

Now reading a lot of the hidden secrets here on the Dis I had to check out some for myself...

Look I found the key!

Muppets 3-D was a cute show. But out of all the 3-d shows Philliarmagic is still my favorite!

Next I decided I wanted to do some shopping so I headed up to the shops when I could hear the music from High School Musical. Now I love HSM so I saw the float going by and decided to follow it.

The float pulled up infront of the hat and everyone was crowded around. The show was wicked cute! It was so hot out but it didnt phase the CM's at all! I will admit I was singing along to all the songs...so if you saw a girl with blue mickey bobble ears on and singing HSM that was me!

This was a cute show and I was excited I caught it!

After I decided to people watch and take some pictures...

While I was taking some pictures I heard a lot of noise so I decided to go check out the commotion...

I just love those Pop waffles too! I had one when we stayed there on our Disneymoon and I covered it in strwberries & whipped cream! So yummy!!!

I've never gotten to see the entire High School Musical show. I always seem to just catch the end of it! I am obsessed with HSM! I had my own wildcat party last night for the premiere! I must see the new HSM 2 show when they start that at the Studios!
