I know there isn't a height restriction on TSMM. Would they let me sit next to my 2 year old while my 6 and 8 year olds sit together on the other side of my car? Or does each child need an adult to sit nex to??

My 9 and 7 year old sat together on a lot of rides. I don't see why not.

Sometimes they can be pretty picky about children under 7 not having an adult in the vehicles. Two years ago, I would have said it was no problem. Right now, I would tell you that you should either plan on you sitting with your 2 youngest children (and one of you not shooting), or tell your 6 year old that if a CM asks him how old he is, he should say 7.

I'm not sure due to the policy with the age. When my youngest was 2, he went in either my lap or my husband's. We did it once without my husband, as he was getting fastpasses. The 2 year old was in my lap, with the 5 year old next to me and the 8 year old went on the other side of the car since he was old enough.

Was there room on the seat for your 2 year old to sit next to you.... or only on your lap???

I second this. We used to always put my 6 & 8 DS together and my husband and I each sat with one of our 4 YO DD, but the last couple trips they were sticklers about under 7 riding without an adult. I know I'm terrible but I told my son that since he was older than 6 and a half that it rounded up to 7 and he could just say 7. Otherwise it made it very problematic at several rides.

My husband and I sat together on TSMM and our 7 and 9 year old were on the other side, shouldn't be a problem. You 'compete' against the person you are sitting with, so we thought it was more of a fair 'fight' that way ;)

I am considering taking kids (3 and 6) to WDW during my son's fall break without DH (who has important work event) I am not sure how the ride seating would work if DS-6 can't sit alone. Is this just on rides like tsmm or roller coasters too?

Kids are supposed to be 7 to ride without an adult, but the only ride I've seen that enforced on is TSMM. OP, your 8 yr old can ride alone, but don't be surprised if they tell you that your 6yr old has to ride with you and the 2 yr old (you can put the 2 yr old in your lap and have him/her "help" you shoot).

Last spring, DD was 13 and she was going to ride TSMM with DS6 and they wouldn't let her. He had to be with someone 14 or older because he was under 7.

On the same trip, DD13 and DS11 rode Buzz, the Barnstormer, and a few others with DS6 and no one said a word. :confused3

There would have been room, but I don't remember how much. I'm smaller than most adults though, so I wouldn't go by me. However, my lap was better so he could shoot more easily. When you do three across on rides, they usually want the younger kids in the inside - which would have made it even harder for him to shoot.
