Hi there,
I was curious if I could add the extra adult to my ressie when I get to the resort??? The thing is my trip started out just my DD 10 and I. We are staying at 3 different resorts. Since talking to my 2 adult neices 26 and 22 they would really like to go to DW as well. Both are on a tight budget so I figured I would let them share our room. Even though it is only 4 people in the room I know you can only have a max of 2 adults without the charge. So to make a short story long ;) Can I add my extra adult when we get there????
Thanks for your help:D

I have done this without a problem. It was an additional $5 a night per adult beyond 2 adults.

What resort are you staying at? Deluxe resorts charge $25 per extra person (more than 2) per night, Moderates $15, & Value $10.

You should be able to add them on once there. They'll charge you the extra money, but there won't be any problems.

I currently have ressies for POR for 7 nights, 2 adults, one infant (this may change once the new codes come out). My DS will be visiting us while we're in Orlando (she's in Gainesville) and we were planning on having her stay in our room for 2 nights. Does the front desk have to know about this? I really don't like the idea of having to pay an extra $15 a night for her considering that there would be no charge if we stayed off-site. We stayed at the Wyndham Palace last year and my DS stayed a couple of nights there w/o incident. I mean, we had a room with 2 queen beds. If room capacity at POR is 4 adults, then why do I have to make a change?

Many hotels have an extra charge for more than 2 adults in a room. Some even charge extra for more than one. It's supposed to go for the extra services extra people use, like towels, housekeeping, the attention of pool life guards, etc. That's why Disney information always says that kids stay free in your room, since they chose not to charge extra for kids under 18, but they could easily do that if they chose to.

I know there are some hotels that don't care how many people you have in the room, but I really don't think it's that bad. If you researched every hotel chain, you'd probably find that over half charge for extra occupants.

There was a big debate (both on this board and then also on the debate board (I believe) about this issue. I believe it is unfair to charge extra when the capacity is set at X already. But they do as do many other hotels. So if you want to be honest and follow the rules then you need to notify the front desk. If you don't mind "hiding" this then, they really aren't going to know anything different.

Thanks for the replies, I won't worry about adding the extra adult until I get there then. We are staying four days at the ASMO and 3 days at the POFQ so I guess they can split that cost and stay within a budget!! 35 bucks a piece isnt bad.
Thanks again!!
